I've come here a few times from KC with kids to fish or rent a boat for a bday or back to school…read morebash. They have everything you could need, good prices, and friendly staff. Renting a pontoon costs some cash, but make it a day and bring your own food/drinks. Everybody loves it! We bring floats and rent the pad as well.

A true midwest Osais! LOVE CLINTON MARINA…read more We started coming to Clinton Marina roughly 7 years ago, back then, it was a nice marina with a good ship store. Wasn't special by any means but it was clean, well taken care of, and had a friendly staff. It was exactly what you'd want out of a lake marina. The ship store had what you needed and made some pretty good pizzas. However, the couple that took over ownership have decided to turn it into a destination and boy howdy have they done a great job. The whole atmosphere has become electric. Yes, it still is VERY well maintained but the changes they've made have been fantastic. The expansion on the back side, is amazing. First Fridays are killer, the ship store is awesome and the pizzas are still off the hook delicious. I hope, as do the new owners, this place turns into the epic getaway that it can be. They're making all the right moves to turn Clinton Marina into a little paradise just outside Lawrence. My only concern is parking. On busy holidays, beware, parking can get a little tough and require a bit of a walk. Outside of the parking lot issue, Clinton Marina is a great little Oasis smack dab in the middle of the prairie.

Customer Service goes a long way in our book and we feel we have experienced Superior Customer…read moreService with First Choice Marine! We found the prices to be excellent, when researching a few items needed to get the boat ready for Spring splash. I'm obnoxiously thrifty and after loading up my online cart at 4 different retailers, item for item, First Choice was best price. Now, the customer service part: we did have to contact them several days after placing our order, as our order wasn't marked as shipped. Very quick, pleasant reply stating that 1 item was out of stock and order would ship when it was available. We asked that they ship the rest of order, which they obliged. Order was received 2 days later...In full! One item was black bottom paint and, unfortunately, the can lid had opened in the box, so we were greeted with a box full of paint, which, of course, ended up on our counters, floors, cabinets, hands, clothes, the cat and dog, etc... when we opened the box. Sigh. Emailed company to let them know and again, very prompt and pleasant reply, stating they would let us know when they could get a replacement out. Next day, they called (a nice touch over an email) to let us know a replacement would be sent out, with apologies and promises of better packing. So... Minus 1 star for forcing the customer to track down their order, rather than updating customer about shipping delay. No loss of stars for the spilled paint...crap happens and the flung black paint made our orange cat look like a tiger, which was cool for a second. But, full 4 stars for prices and superior customer service. If we hadn't received this level of service from Dan, this review would have gone in a different direction! We will definitely continue shopping with them and pass on their website info to the other river rats!

TO BE AVOIDE!!!! I placed an order in December 2024 for almost $1,300 and, after more than 9 months…read moreand over 20 unanswered emails, I have still never received my order!!! This company shows a shocking lack of professionalism: the customer service ignores repeated requests (phone & mail) and even the CEO Mark Clark, copied on several emails, has done absolutely nothing. It is unacceptable for a business to treat its customers this way. DO NOT ORDER from First Choice Marine if you expect to be delivered or assisted!

Warning to 5th wheel/camper Owners -- Avoid Croft Trailer in Smithville…read more I really wanted to like this place. I trusted Croft Trailer with my 36' dual-axle RV, hoping for peace of mind before a 3-month trip with my family of six. I asked them to inspect the suspension, repack the bearings, and do a general safety check. I explained everything clearly -- I wasn't asking for diagnostics, just straightforward maintenance. But what followed was nothing short of neglect. I got on their waiting list June 6th. Dropped off my trailer June 13th. Picked it up again -- completely untouched -- on June 30th. From the start, it was a constant runaround. "We'll call you tomorrow." "We'll have a quote soon." But the calls never came. When I followed up, I started getting excuses like, "It's too hot to walk outside and look at it." Meanwhile, my trailer sat there -- unused, uninspected, and ignored. After they moved it in the lot, they left the power on and completely drained my batteries to 0%. No heads-up. No apology. No accountability. When I finally went to pick it up -- now just weeks before our trip -- they admitted other customers were being prioritized and my trailer was being delayed because it was "too big" and parked outside. Too big? It's 36 feet -- a pretty standard dual-axle travel trailer. Isn't this your job? Bottom line: If you have a larger trailer or need work done with any urgency, Croft isn't the place. They left me scrambling and did absolutely nothing to help. You're better off going literally anywhere else.
