Christopher came over and installed an exterior gate, re-grouted part of a shower, caulked a difficult to reach tub and took down a bunch of old painter's tape. Even though the instructions were followed on the gate, the gate install was wobbly (the factory provided concrete screws were too small). Christopher came back with his own screws to stabilize the fence and added an anchor to the top, which did the trick! Because of their great work on the first project, I had them come back and install two new garage door openers and an exterior light fixture. Garage door openers can be tricky to properly install and balance, but the job turned out great, including the programming multiple remotes and keypads. I was asked about my preferences for what buttons I wanted on the various remotes. The exterior light looks and works perfectly. Overall, I'd highly recommend Gonzalez Handyman Services. They even swept out my garage before leaving!

Out of three different enterprises we contacted, Edgewood Cabinetry were the most professional and prompt in responding to our initial request. Mr. Rafferty was not only extremely cordial and professional, but he was very accommodating to all our questions and individual design considerations. He was also very sensitive to our proposed budget. He seemed to understand the design we had in mind immediately, and worked hard to provide a fitting design that was practical and affordable, yet still had the look that we were looking for. The final product is a beautiful wooden bookcase, "built-in" to the wall, made of stained maple, and embellished with custom decorative panels that looks exactly like we have always dreamt: an elegant, rich wood bookcase from one of those movie mansions! He even took care of little details like making sure the decorative top matched the crown-molding of the rest of the room in a seamless fashion. The final design is gorgeous, the quality of the craftsmanship is flawless, the project timeline was prompt, and the price fit perfectly within our budget. Our dream library come to life, designed and built at an affordable price! We could not be happier. We will definitely be calling on Edgewood Cabinetry for all our future carpentry projects -- including building out the rest of our dream library with more rich wood panelling and bookcases. I accepted his price and he came out that Saturday with another guy. He then left his employee there who I had never met before. They ran out of materials because of waste, so the employee had to come back the next day. They still didn't finish and there are gaps in what was done. They were also supposed to complete a job at a second location. They were given a check for equipment they claimed they needed. They never did the work and were supposed to return the check. Instead it was cashed and a stop had to be placed on the check. Very dishonest people. Owner tries to play off the responsibility by blaming his employees who he supposedly fired or they quit. If you really feel the need to hire them, I would suggest watching these thieves very closely and make sure you have everything in writing including the name of the business and signed by the owner. If I knew what kind of people they were, I would've never hired them to begin with.

And when I went on their website it showed that the business is temporarily closed. We've passed this place for years but in a desperate 3-year search to find the perfect lighted snowman for the yard, I made a special trip to see what they had. Upon entering, I was a bit disappointed to see a small, cramped showroom with only three tall racks packed with boxed lights. I poked around a bit before noticing a darkened area through a door that said "outdoor lights." The management must have noticed my curiosity and flipped a switch. To what did my wondering eyes should appear but a huge room filled from floor to ceiling with tons of outdoor lights. They gleamed and blinked in the most beautiful way... I could nearly hear the heavens singing above me! The owner came over and was most helpful. She walked me around the gigantic room to show their various products and was more than accommodating when I made a few special requests. They carry all sorts of holiday lights, not just Christmas! She made sure each item I purchased was working properly and took the time to plug them all in. She also had one of the storeroom guys help me load my car. Overall, an excellent experience. The prices are a little high, but I was delighted to find quality items that were nowhere to be found in the chain stores. The personal customer service can't be beat.
