Good company, gone bad…read more Had Decks Plus come out to replace deck boards with composite boards. Originally they tried to pull a fast one by doing subpar work with the new boards being unleveled with our deck. I called them out on it, in which 3 supervisors came out to address the issue in which they did, resulting in additional deck joists that needed to be added. Of course, they bought cheap untreated woods from Lowe's resulting in cracked wood, and now they all need to be replaced. Just think, they were NOT going to address it until I caught them. Post construction I found MANY missing nails in the boards causing them to move up & down. Again, subpar work. Remember, "I thought" they did good work originally & even got them to come back out for additional work, in which the owner listened to our needs but in the end NEVER provided a quote. So at the time, we decided not to move forward on the project. That being said, months later we decided to revisit the project, and figured it might have been a flute on not receiving the quote. But this time, they didn't even reach back out when we request work. We're now having another company to come out to fix their issues, and earn our $30,000 business. Choose who you do business with wisely.

For a company that has such high reviews, I had a very disappointing experience…read more First, as others have mentioned recently, the call center scheduling was a poor experience. Scheduling the service was simple and quick, and I was told it would be $69 to perform the services I had asked them to check out - fine. However, the problem with the call center comes after the tech arrives and he informs me that what I wanted is $220 and that the $69 is a fee just for him to show-up. The only reason I am giving them 2 stars is because their office manager (Susan) is a true angel. She explained that they had recent hires at the organization and apologized for the issues and was very considerate. However, the next problem came when one of the issues I had them come to check was not even listed on the quote. I specifically asked about the item in our discussion/inspection as the tech seemed to leave it off during our final chat. The prices seem fair, but I cannot give my business to an organization that was 0/2 on fulfilling their duties on the easier side of the work they would be doing. Again, I followed-up with Susan after the second hiccup and she was a true angel and super helpful. I imagine that the other 770 reviews can't all be fake, so some people are obviously having great experiences. Just be very mindful when you contact them about these issues and maybe you can prevent yourself some frustration.
