Whatever you do don't let 50 Floor install your floors! Go anywhere else! In fact just install the floors yourself! All the bad reviews are real! Believe them! Just save yourself the headache and stress! Did not come close to the time I requested. Difficult to understand installers. Worked extremely fast while tearing off trim which tore off my paint. Fixed by putting more caulking! Made me pay fully before job was done! One of the installers talked on the phone 75 percent of the installing time! Phone kept ringing! When job was completed, I noticed a part of the trim was dented and dirty! They did go back and have to replace. After they left, I thankfully noticed they left my refrigerator unplugged!!! Had to wait for them to come back. Do not recommend and will not use again!! If you do use, the fine print states that when they do take up trim, paint will most likely come up too!!! read more

Installers were fantastic. They worked quickly and were thorough. Even got the new flooring fitted perfectly in areas that I thought were going to be impossible. Loved that crew! I love my new LVP flooring. It changed the whole dynamic of my house. Easy to clean and looks beautiful. I'd leave a -5 if I could. Had flooring installed in my kitchen and bathrooms. When installing the flooring in my bathroom they removed my toilet for the installation and broke my toilet where it wouldn't seal to the floor properly so it was leaking. I had to hire someone else to repair the toilet. The floor in my kitchen is messed up for the 3rd time. I have contacted them several times to have it repaired and my calls and emails have not been returned. If you're looking for work to be done in your home look somewhere else. This company is a scam. Horrible craftsmanship by worker that don't speak English and office people that don't either apparently. If so they'd call or email back. My best advise - RRRRUUUUNNNN!!! read more

I called 50 floor during their 60% off sale. I found Chris the sales representative very polite and professional. I am on a fixed income and he was able to help me get new carpet on my budget. They scheduled my installation around my schedule. Their installers were very polite. They helped me get my oxygen machine and bird settled in another area away from any dust. They moved all the furniture with care. They did a excellent job in 3 hours. They also made sure I was ok before leaving. I now have beautiful quality carpet. Will not be using this company again. We paid way too much money for a less than mediocre job. Had to call them back because there were big gaps in the corners where they installed quarter round. Left paint on our brand new floor that my husband got to clean up. Ripped the dryer vent from the back of the dryer and didn't fix. Left garbage in our yard. It was a horrible experience. read more

Buyer beware!!!! I wish I could give ZERO stars! This company is as sleazy as it gets! The way their contact is worded...their installers can completely ruin every base board in your house and they are not liable, even if it is clearly blatant negligence on the installer's part. You will be left to float the bill. Once you sign your contract you will never hear from the sales person again, so ask your questions while they are still standing there!  The flooring will click and clack under your every step, but they won't care about that either. They will "rip up your existing quarter round and replace with new" but what they don't tell you is the new quarter round will only be primed and unpainted, so you will have to float that bill as well. READ the fine print exceptionally well because there are many things this company can get away with destroying, and they truly do not care! read more

I don't have enough nice things to say about the experience. The salesman, Jeff I think, was very knowledgeable, showed up on time, and explained all the flooring types. He indicated it would take two weeks for th flooring to come I and we would get a call. Exact two weeks later we got a call to schedule the install. The crew that came to install the LVT, Miguel and Carlos, were fantastic. They worked so hard getting up the old laminate flooring it took two days for the install. The guys who installed the carpet, Nato and sadly I don't remember the other gentleman's name, worked tirelessly to get the new carpets installed. I was absolutely astounded. Honestly, I was hesitant when the first person came to the house to quote the total price and told me to save the most money I would need to sign that day. I took the chance and signed the papers, then did my research immediately after, and their prices were the absolute best I could find for what we were getting. I am STILL reeling at how amazing the carpet looks. Installation took a few hours at most. If we EVER need more flooring, we're 100% calling 50 floor again. HIGHLY recommend. read more

I had an appointment today for a consultation. We walked around my house, showed him what I wanted done. He measured. Didn't measure the bathroom. I'm thinking ok maybe we'll go over that after the carpets. The rep brings in 2 swatches of the 2 cheapest rugs. Like a mixture of office carpet and dried sand. Then I told him I'm not putting cheap carpet in my bedroom again. I bought the house I rented and the carpet was so cheap (like what he showed) you can rip it with your hands. He said he had more, and he brought in (went back to his truck) with only one more sample swatch. What sales rep shows & pushes the crappy samples first? After I told him the one I wanted, he started adding it up while my husband was watching it. He tried charging us $1,200 more. And didn't take off the whole 60%. $2,400 for ONE bedroom? My bedroom is standard size . They have ABSOLUTELY NO TILE IN STOCK OR INVENTORY! But they don't tell you this until they get there l. I called 50 floor to install some flooring after seeing their ad on TV. Big mistake. They installed the wrong flooring (!) and refused to issue a refund after multiple requests, even to the CEO. They ask upfront for 50% of the cost (which I now know is a ridiculous figure) so that they cannot be held accountable for the work. The 50% seems to be all they hope for, and then they move on to the next unfortunate customer. Since that time I watched a video published by the NC attorney general advising against down payments for such work. Below is a more detailed account of (some of) my experiences with 50 Floor: Our suspicions of being charged for excess material quantity were confirmed when the merchant generated the itemization on 9/4 for American Express (not us directly). The total of the itemized charges ($7,302.03) differs from the original purchase order of $7,304.72 which was filled out by the salesman. The itemization was generated retroactively in a rush to fulfill a request by American Express. We were told that we would receive this document after signing the purchase order, but it was never provided, despite multiple requests over the phone and in writing. Had we known, we would not have agreed to the excessive material quantities and unit costs. On the itemization, the merchant showed charges for 540 square feet (SF) of material. The merchant's own measurements show only 470 SF, which disagrees with the quantity ordered and billed. The 470 SF also does not account for the saved material due to the cabinets, fireplace, and sink area. Upon checking the merchant's measurements and accounting for these simple adjustments, the correct area is 399 SF. The merchant overcharged us by 141 SF (35% extra), valued at $739.67 at their rate of $5.246/SF for vinyl flooring. The installers left a surplus of 108 SF of material and took the rest with them. Of course, these overcharges are secondary to our main concern that the material is not the type we requested in the first place. The itemization we received via second hand news shows that the merchant also overcharged in quantity for the carpeting (93.33 SY, 17% overcharge) and carpet padding (90 SY, 12.5% overcharge) when compared with their original measurements of 80 square yards (SY). This was confirmed by the excess material the installers hauled away on 7/24, when they reported they had enough extra material to cover an additional stairway but we declined their offer to do so since we did not know how much the charges would be. The excess carpet material is valued at $276.24 according to their rate of $20.723 per SY, and the excess padding material is valued at $54.54 according to their rate of $5.454 per SY. The merchant's own measurements do not agree with the quantities they ordered and billed us for. The merchant has refused our requests for a refund for the incorrect material, which according to their itemization was $2,832.84. The merchant also refuses refund for the overcharge in material quantity of $1,070.45 as outlined above ($739.67 for the basement and $330.78 for upstairs). The merchant has lied to American Express that we inspected the material before installation. On arrival the installers immediately began preparing the floor and when we checked back with them later we found they were in the process of installing the wrong product. We immediately called the merchant, but as it was Saturday the representative told us to call back on Monday. When I called on Monday, I spoke with General Manager Shawn Harris who told me he couldn't help me (he said he was preparing for filming a TV commercial!). We formulated our refund request to the merchant in writing, also requesting an itemization of the charges since we were billed for excess material. We followed up with additional letters with the same requests. In response, the merchant refused to provide us with a refund or an itemized list of charges. The merchant has lied to American Express by attempting to use the Certificate of Completion for the carpet installation as proof of our satisfaction with the flooring installation two days later. We signed this document only because the earlier installers required it before they left, and we were told that we would be presented another form for the flooring installation two days later, which was never presented and we would not have signed. Our copy of the document is missing the installer's signature since it was added later and backdated in the version sent to American Express. Also note that page 2, which was omitted from the merchant's submission to American Express, reveals that the section "Product Verification" was not signed by us. I recommend you do not hire 50 Floor for any job, and heed the NC Attorney General's advice not to provide down payments for this type of work. read more
