Reading some of these bad reviews .I'm not sure the customer understands how a lease works. I have to say I don't care for looking for a car. It's draining. I did go to a few dealers and I felt that my sales person Chris Weidner was patient, understanding and spent a lot of time with me and answered my questions . chris was also very helpful with explaining how to use all the things in the car Cx9. He was patient. I did push for a better price and I think I did ok. Also the Manager Peggy was very nice and tried her best to give me a good price. Overall seems like everyone was friendly and nice. You never know for sure if you got taken for a ride when you look for a car. I've gotten screwed before. In closing sales people are people too and they have family's and many of them are honest and dont play games. I'm a sales person and I usually find the car I want . Than after I find that. I look for the sales person and place I trust the most . Than I buy. So Chris was the sales rep and Peggy were the ones that made me feel comfortable enough to make my descision. They're fair. But here's my disclaimer . They have to keep up the service and make me feel like i made the correct decision . So I'm hoping I don't see any problems like I've read . About the after care for service etc... just research the car you want . And look for Genuine people like I do and your prob be ok .. read more

I brought my car in for an oil change on 8/9/23 and the service department told me I had $2300 worth of necessary repairs. Most of what was on the list was called URGENT. I told them I couldn't afford it immediately but could in a couple weeks. I WAS a customer for more than 20 years. They recommended not driving the car while waiting to have the money. I left and stopped at another repair shop who, without looking at the car, looked at the work they wanted to do and they said they would charge me under 1000. I rented cars twice and then brought the car to 2 more places and they actually checked each thing on the quote and said I do not need this work. THEN I drove to another Mazda dealer and they said I didn't need this work. I then called THIS DEALER and left a message for service as well as calling again to speak to the owner and spoke with someone in sales and asked for a call back and never got one from anyone. I am so upset that 20 years of trust was not appreciated and never got a call back again. I have since driven more than 6000 miles, did get my car serviced, it only needed an oil change and recommended changing spark plugs and it cost under $100. I am buying another mazda but never from Smithaven and any of my neighbors and friends have seen this "urgent" quote and the actual quote for necessary repairs from 3 repair shops, one being a Mazda dealer. read more

I had one of the most positive experiences here. It was my first time buying a car from a real dealership and was initially very nervous going in by myself at 21 years old because at a young age usually employees in that type of environment will try to pressure you to make a purchase right then and there. I met with Ben the first time i went in and he immediately sat down with me and was asking me what i was looking for in a vehicle and my price range etc. I told him i was looking for a Mazda 3 as it was my dream car. he made me feel so comfortable and i was actually excited to go back to meet with him again to actually purchase the vehicle. He then took me out onto the lot to look at a few different ones and then let me test drive one. i told Ben that i was going to come back with my uncle later that week to make the final purchase of the car i had looked at and he was absolutely so patient with me during that time and didn't try to force a purchase on me. he even called me halfway through the week to see if i had any additional questions from when we et the first time. i came back later that week and finalized the deal with Ben on the certified pre-owned 2015 Mazda 3. everyone that worked here was incredibly nice but i 110% recommend asking for Ben if you decide to go here. read more

Smithhaven Mazda is the only shop that works on my car. Brought it in for a 6 month check up and inspection and ended up needing my front brakes repaired. Didn't have time so I scheduled an appointment for yesterday. Once my car was being serviced, I ran into someone in sales and said I wish they still made pickups because that was my next vehicle. He asked me what I was looking at right now and I said a small, used, Honda, Nissan, or Toyota. They asked me if I would like to checkout what they had. Sure. Dennis, my salesman told me they had a 2018 ridge line available. Checked it out, great price. Got a better deal than I expected in my mazda trade in and also bought the 5 year 60 mile warrantee. Dennis couldn't have been more helpful and Steve was great at explaining the warrantee. And they also through in the mazda break job for free since they said they would have done it after they took possession anyway. It was a great experience. Walked in after lunch for a repair and drove away in a new (to me) pickup truck before dinner. This has been my repair shop for years. Now I'll stop here first for any future purchase. Dennis and Steve, thank you so much for making this smooth. read more

I came into Mazda expecting the usual car-buying experience: a few hours of paperwork, some awkward small talk, and possibly questioning every financial decision I've ever made. Instead, I had the pleasure of working with Hamza. From the moment I walked in, Hamza was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly easy to work with. He answered all of my questions without making me feel pressured, and somehow managed to make the car-buying process feel less like a root canal and more like a conversation with a friend who just happens to know everything about Mazdas. What impressed me most was his honesty and patience. Whether I was asking important questions or overthinking tiny details, he took the time to help and never rushed me. By the end of the experience, I drove away with a great vehicle and the feeling that I'd been genuinely taken care of. If you're shopping for a Mazda, do yourself a favor and ask for Hamza. He made the experience so smooth that I almost forgot I was spending money--which is probably the highest compliment a salesperson can receive. Thanks again, Hamza, for the excellent service and for proving that buying a car doesn't have to be stressful! read more

I was looking to get into a new-to-me used Mazda CX-5. I didn't think I was going to be able to afford a brand new car, although I really wanted a new car rather than a used one. I had a Jeep Compass that I loved but it was time for a new car, especially with the NY winter coming. My dad had contacted Smith Haven Mazda to let them know we wanted to look at used CX-5s. We met Chris and he showed us around. He did the math for me, multiple times, on the used CX-5s on the lot as well as what it would cost to take home a 2017 brand stinking new. Doing the math, it turned out that I would be able to get a new model like I originally wanted. He was very patient with me and very understanding. I had a lot of hang ups with what I wanted and didn't want. He didn't pressure me into anything at all and listened to everything I had to say. I left that day with a gorgeous red 2017 CX-5 that had only 7 miles on it when I took it off the lot - my first brand new car ever. Everyone at Smith Haven Mazda was so incredibly nice. They really made sure that I was happy with what I was getting. read more

I had an outstanding experience working with Hamza Shahid! From the moment we walked in, he took the time to thoroughly explain the different Mazda models and helped us understand the features and options available. He was incredibly patient while we weighed our choices and never made us feel pressured during the process. Hamza is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely focused on helping his customers find the right vehicle at the best possible price. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable with our decision and worked hard to get us a great deal. Car buying can be stressful, but Hamza made the entire experience smooth, enjoyable, and stress-free. We couldn't be happier with our purchase and will definitely be returning for our next Mazda. When I walked in I was greeted with open arms and directed to Joe Collocola. I went in with a mindset that I wanted one car and one car only which was the Mazda 6 grand touring in meteor gray. Joe was very respectful of what I could afford and didn't just pressure me to buy a car that I would be struggling with in the long run, like other dealerships that I've been to. He recommended the Mazda 6 touring in meteor gray that they had on the lot and with no hesitation he pulled it up front for me to look at. Every single staff member had nothing but smiles on their faces and loads of energy which made the environment much more comfortable rather than stressful. After keeping in contact with Joe I purchased the vehicle within a week and couldn't be any happier. read more

I found the Smith Haven Mazda and their team members to be exceptional. God bless them for dealing with my mother and I.... Their staff was very patient and helpful with me as I searched for the perfect car to get me through the next few years of school. With the cost of Law School weighing in the back of my mind their finance rep Daryl was pleasant and very motivated to find a bank that would give me the interest rate and loan approval I was looking for (which isn't easy considering my credit is fairly new). Their attentiveness was greatly appreciated and I am very happy to call myself part of the Smith Haven Mazda family with my beautiful red jeep. Thank you guys-- I love my car!! read more

Went to this dealership look at the new MX5RF. Nicole S was my sales rep and she was nothing short of spectacular. Right from the start she was great, Told me all about the car. Went for a test drive with her and it was great, showed me how all the tech worked and all the cool features. Nicole is a great sales rep, I recommend her to everyone wanting to buy a new Mazda. She listens to what you want with a car and she works with your finances. not once did I feel like I was being jerked around like many other dealerships will do, nothing was hidden from me. In all, I had a great experience, Nicole was by far the best sales rep I've ever dealt with at any dealership read more

Went to Smith Haven Mazda to buy a new CX-50 2.5 S Select (the base model). Chose this dealer because it had the model & trim I wanted and it had the best ratings. My salesman was Eliezer (Eli). After test drive, negotiations went bada bing bada boom, in about ten minutes, signed a contract. There were no unexpected charges, no funny business. Closed on the deal the next day with zero problems. The car runs great, very smooth. 187 HP is plenty sufficient. This base model does not have that annoying electronic stop start feature (some other Mazda vehicles will have it, called "I-Stop"). This dealer is very professional and I highly recommend it. Ask for Eli. read more

I had a great experience at Smith Haven Mazda. The positive reviews you see of this place are true to word. Hamza was my Sales Professional and he did a wonderful job from start to finish to get me in the car I wanted. Him and the Finance Manager, David, got me in and out of the dealership with a new vehicle quicker than I could have hoped for. Hamza got me a great deal on a new vehicle with the payment options I wanted. He communicated well and didn't pressure me into anything I was not interested in. I will recommend his services to whoever I know looking for a new vehicle. read more

Wow. After careful considerations and non-stop research for a used-car dealer, it seems that this is not a place to go. And I wonder why? Look at the reviews! Google reviews says it all... I feel sorry for Michele and Joe and everyone else in that list. OMG! Management need a better way to reach out to the people. Its 2015, everyone Google and Yelp everything! Whats more, reviews can be shared in every social network they are on. Does this place even care? or is at all about making money? tsk tsk. good luck guys with the cars you've been dealt with. read more

I just bought a used car at Smithhaven Mazda and loved the experience. Dennis was great! He's very knowledgeable and helpful. Best of all, he did not pressure me. He showed me the car I saw online, told me about its features and let me take a quick test drive. He didn't try to push me into buying something more expensive. He just told me what I needed to know. We took care of all the financing and I drove it home a few days later. I'm still getting used to everything, but I love the car so far. read more

I worked with Hamza for a lease deal, he was incredibly along with the other staff. I could not have asked for better service. He set us up for success, extremely helpful/great communication through out the entire process. He gave us a fair and honest deal as I am a working college student. I cannot recommend him more! He even came in on his day off so we were able to pick up the car early. Truly kind and genuine car salesman & person (among the rest of the stuff). I will be back! read more
