Because of the infection, they had to do the root canal over two appointments, but they were absolutely fantastic. I felt no pain either time, and the doctor continued to ask throughout the procedure if he was hurting me at all. Additionally, he explained everything he was doing, zooming in on the x-ray and explaining why he was doing everything. He even offered me a mirror if I wanted to watch what he was doing. Finally, I felt like they were the most honest people I had ever met. My general dentist had told me I needed multiple root canals and about 8 fillings. Honestly, I was in so much pain I was going to listen to whatever I was told. The people at LTE were completely honest and said I only needed 1 root canal and that a lot of the other work that was recommended was not really needed. The office staff was as nice as the doctors, telling me before they started what my total cost was going to be. I paid on the first visit in full, and had no issues during the 2nd when they finished the procedure. Overall, I enjoyed my visits there about as much as a person can enjoy a root canal. The doctor said "now I hope I don't have to ever see you in here again!" but if I do need another root canal, I know where I'll be going.

Premier Endodontics…read more Ok, I usually only write reviews for restaurants so this is new to me. And this may be as important as your next meal in the North End or the Seaport! Like many (or most?) I am not a huge fan of going to the dentist or endodontist! I've had my share of visits and it's never as bad as you're expecting but it's not something you look forward to or look back on fondly..and you all know what I mean! Well, Premier Endodontics at 271 Waverly Oaks Road in Waltham, MA has changed that. From the easy check in with Henry, seamless connection and billing of insurance and any out of pocket expenses, to the explanation of their procedure. I had a short wait and was greeted by Dr Jones' dental assistant, Sabrina. Also, the office and their equipment and stuff seem very modern and the office was impeccably clean and comfortable. Sabrina greeted me and brought me to a room and explained what they would be doing and started with x rays. Shortly after the x-rays I was greeted by Doctor Jones who could not be more personable and professional! She explained what they would be doing to fix my cracked tooth. I needed a root canal and a temporary filling, then a second appointment for the permanent filling, and finally I would go back to my dentist who would install a crown. She also explained that they would first numb my mouth to desensitize it before administering "anesthesia" which I'm guessing was Novocain? When it was time to inject she was obviously more skilled than the last person I had seen years ago..I barely felt a thing! Not sure if technology has progressed but it numbed me up quickly and I didn't feel a thing!! All the drilling, grinding, hands, tools, and suction tube and not a bit of pain or even discomfort!! It is clear that Doctor Jones and her assistant worked extremely well together. They communicated and executed the procedure like clockwork and even played some decent music while they went about their business. (I'd recommend Yacht Rock or Classic Rock as opposed to Metallica or Snoop Dogg!) Disclaimer: They both sing while working and neither of them will ever be a contestant on American Idol! . However...it was very soothing and kind of reassuring of their confidence in what was clearly a routine procedure for them, but can be a bit daunting for 99% of us who cringe when we hear the words ROOT CANAL!! I returned for the second appointment to have the permanent filling installed and it went just as well as the first. The entire staff were so professional and seem like family to each other, which was very welcoming and reassuring to someone who doesn't go to the "dentist" much! The office manager (Lan) wrote me an incredibly long email attempting to justify why I had not heard back, etc, which I chose not to review as I want to proceed with a professional and efficient dental practice without engaging in passive aggressive manners. I requested my records to be sent to a different dental office and they called me the next morning stating that my insurance DID cover 50% of the cost of the implant and there were no issues contacting insurance or navigating coverage inquiry. They stated that it was very straightforward. Be aware! Not sure why I was informed such inconsistent information across practices and why Coron providers were still supposedly waiting 3 weeks for a response, that the practice down the road obtained in a day. I was accused of "below the belt" attacks, but I simply stated facts and am honestly concerned abt potential insurance fraud as they seem to be informing patients that services are not covered by insurance when they actually are or that follow up is taking much longer due to blatant negligence. Please check your benefits carefully if you use this practice. Nothing in my review was an attack or inaccurate nor a reflection of their medical practice. The response by the practitioner is unprofessional and surprising given the feedback regarding ability to check insurance and adequately keep patients informed.

And when Dr. Zinger retired, I was very upset because she was the only one I trusted. I'm delighted to say that Dr. Faibish, who took over the practice, is also a fabulous dentist. He is so calm and mellow that it's hard to feel anxious around him. I just had two old fillings replaced and it was quick and painless. Everyone in the practice is very nice too.
