I have been coming here since 2015 back when Dr. Raymond Frye was the main dentist. I did not like him at all (see my notes on that below), but I loved Jules, the dental hygienist. It seemed like there was a rotating wheel of of new dentists there for a while...I was thinking about changing dentists around that time. But then Dr. Ray left the practice! I decided to give the new dentist (Dr. Harris) a chance. I like him much better than Dr. Ray...in as much as a typical person likes their dentist. I don't hate him so that is a huge improvement! I had a cleaning recently and then last week I had a crown break in half and they got me in same day to fix it, but it turns out that I have to get new crown. They have went above and beyond my expectations in figuring out how to proceed with replacing the crown. Dr. Harris decided to use a different material for the crown that will last longer in my particular mouth. Ruby (assistant) is very nice and keeps me well informed when I'm in the chair. Dr. Harris also explains everything clearly. Courtney is cheerful as always when scheduling appointments. I love their use of new technology! Or at least what seems to be new to me. It's impressive to a layperson. From the X-rays to photographing my teeth with a special little wand-like camera. Everything is displayed on a computer screen that you can see. Their teamwork is also excellent. They use headsets to communicate back and forth and it seems to be working well. I can't remember a time when I had to wait in the dental chair bc somebody (dentist) is busy with something else. Also, shout out to Jules, the dental hygienist. She uses the cleanings to educate me about dental health and proper care. I don't floss as much as I should, but she doesn't shame me. She simply states facts about the consequences of not flossing. She's conscientious about any discomfort during her cleanings, too. I think my first cleaning with her in 2015 was my worst cleaning with her (pain-wise) simply bc I never flossed before that and my mouth was inflamed. She did her best to make it quick but still thorough. So...Dr. Ray...I first went to this place because it is really close to my house. I got Invisalign...I regret that. I expected more monitoring from the actual dentist instead of the techs. Things may be different now. But it was not a very pleasant experience for me especially when interacting with Dr. Ray. I had questions and concerns about the Invisalign process, but there was a breakdown in communication in either how I was wording the questions or how he was interpreting them. I never got the answers I was seeking from him that particular day. I ended up leaving the office in tears and visibly upset because I felt so very dismissed and ignored by him. But I kept going back bc I had to finish the Invisalign process. Besides all of that, I was not impressed with his "celebrity" clientele that was displayed. His personality just didn't click with me. It all was very odd to me. If I happened to review this office when Dr. Ray was still present, I would have definitely left a review with fewer stars. However, since he's gone now, I think Dr. Harris and the current staff deserve 5 stars. read more

Been coming here for about 4 years. Have had a few root canals and many cleanings. Dr. Harris is always excellent! Jules is also always incredible! After being in extreme pain, they opened up early to get me taken care of. I cannot be more thankful for this place!!! They've gone above and beyond. She made absolutely exceeded my expectations which prompted me to schedule an Ortho consultation. They educated me on alternative treatments that better fit my unique situation and discussed timelines and outcomes. If you are considering getting Invisalign, I would strongly recommend going elsewhere. I got my first set of trays in February 2016 and was told I'd be done in 10 months. Come December, there were still some issues with my teeth, so I had to be rescanned for new trays. Not a huge deal. After the second set of trays, my teeth still weren't where they should be... but here's the problem: I have been scanned THREE times for my third set of trays and still have not received them. There was a month-long gap between the first scan (for my third set) and them calling me to tell me I needed to come in again. After the second scan (for my third set), they called after a couple weeks to tell me Invisalign still wasn't happy with the scan. I got my third scan (for my third set) on July 10. It's now July 31 (so over 10 weeks since I got my second set of trays off) and I haven't heard from them. This whole experience is making me wish I never decided to do Invisalign. read more

I came in early in 2016 for a cleaning and 2nd opinion on the treatment plan given to me by a previous dentist (where my car had been hit in the parking lot leaving me with a bad taste in my mouth, no pun intended). My first visit to Smile High was VERY impressive: The hygienist was skillful, they fitted my teeth with a tray for free whitenings, and the dentist, Jess, was very sweet. They basically affirmed my need for the work my previous dentist suggested: 1 crown and 2 fillings, and probably my wisdom teeth removed as soon as possible (for which they would refer me to an oral surgeon). But as my friend said: Never trust a dentist with $70 candles in the lobby. I'd never had a crown before and to be fair, maybe it's an inherently horrible procedure. However everyone I relayed my experience to seemed horrified so I'm guessing it didn't have to be as bad as it was. Here is a breakdown of the five, YES FIVE visits to this clinic in two months: 1st visit: Cleaning and x-rays. 2nd visit: Crown seating + filling. 3rd visit: Permanent crown placement + filling. This crown didn't fit, so they sent away for a new one instead of forcing it and put on another temporary, which came off the next evening. 4th visit: New temporary placed until 2nd permanent crown came in. 5th visit: Permanent crown placement + filling. One of the major problems I kept having is not being numb enough to proceed. On the 3rd and 4th visits they gave me a shot that worked VERY well and I couldn't feel the bottom left quadrant of my face for hours (I MEAN THAT IN A GOOD WAY). On the other visits I kept having to ask for more shots, like they were made out of rare unicorn tears and essence of black orchid; and could not be dispensed without proper begging. The dentist and hygienist said I was metabolizing them quickly, which is the first time "quick" and "metabolism" has ever been used together in a sentence about me. From what I was able to put together, the first crown didn't fit because it was made from a mold that had some of the mold-concrete itself in it. I feel like my main issues could have been because of the two hygienists I had after my initial visit: While both were friendly and had good bedside manner, they seemed very distracted. They both tried to engage the dentist in conversation that had nothing to do with me and my increasingly angry molar stump. I can't help but think if they'd paid a little closer attention, the first permanent crown would have fit, and if it hadn't, the second temporary crown would have stayed on saving me one or two of my FIVE visits. On top of all this, the reception staff is a little on the shrill side. It's probably not common practice for medical practices of any kind to apologize for anything (for fear of lawsuits), but rather than striving to "make things right," I felt like they kept digging their heels in. On my last visit my out-of-pocket amount for the second filling was $44. I thought I had paid in full but she couldn't confirm it because the computers were down (sounds like payment acceptance was working just fine though!) so I requested that she just send me an itemized bill. She said sure they could do that, but the next day left a voicemail trying to collect on it immediately. I literally chuckled when I listened to the voicemail. You're going to want to drop that bill in the mail: I won't be calling or coming back. read more

This place is amazing! He attentiveness and courtesy of everyone is well worth the drive for me. I will definitely be returning again and again. Update to 5 star review because the amazing Dr Frey is no longer there and not one of the dentist are even close to comparable! I'm pretty upset to hear that my son was hardly acknowledged with a simple hello from the new dentist guy. Plus, he told him he needs to use more fluoride??!! Does this guy still think it's 1950?!! Also, they lured us in by free teeth whitening, but never delivered and only coughed up excuses. This place is horrible now and neither one of us will ever be back. read more

Had a teeth whitening appointment yesterday. Very friendly staff and very nice atmosphere - I was impressed. However, I was told there would be no sensitivity because it's the dentists own formula that works differently than most. But what do you know...couldn't sleep all night because my teeth hurt so bad. The only instruction I was given was not to drink red wine or coffee etc because my teeth would be more prone to staining the next 24 hours. Other than that, no info, and I also had to ask all the questions at the beginning. My experience there was overall positive, I would just have appreciated more of a walk through of what was going on and more instruction for after care. Maybe my severe sensitivity could have been prevented. Nonetheless, it was a miserable night and so here I am writing this review. :( Oh and my teeth look good. Not extremely white and nobody noticed a difference until I said something. Glad I got the Groupon and didn't pay full price. read more

Awesome staff!! From someone who suffers from dental anxiety, I've been through a few dentists in my day. These guys are simply amazing at what they do and very understanding. I'll piggyback on what someone else said regarding teamwork. They do work very well as a team and it's clear everyone helps each other out. I visited this place for 1 or 2 cleanings and it's shocking how that visit keeps haunting me. BE VERY CAREFUL of what they try to "sell" you, they may say your insurance will cover it as they did with me. However, 3-4 years later, something may show up on your credit report. I will post recorded phone conversations & correspondence of what I was told my treatment would be how long and how much... & now I'm being told this does not have to be honored because a new dentist purchased the practice & he wasn't the one who promised me these things.... even though I already paid for treatment... now I've wasted my time and money. I had an amazing experience at my dentist appointment yesterday. I hadn't been to the dentist in about 2 years and I knew I had some cavities, but the hygienist (Jules) made me feel totally comfortable and she was super friendly and professional. She was extremely thorough with cleaning my teeth and they felt so smooth afterwards. Dr. Raymond was very nice, definitely not your average scary dentist! He made an effort to ask me questions and get to know me as a person and not just a patient. The whole staff was pleasant and the office had a fun atmosphere that definitely made me want to come back. They even have TVs above the chairs so you can watch Netflix while getting your teeth cleaned! Definitely recommending Smile High to all my friends and family :) read more

I've been wanting to visit this office since I heard an add for them on ks1075. I started working on Hampden and saw them, so I finally went online and scheduled an appointment. I was able to get in very fast. They verified my insurance benefits and had everything ready when I arrived. I was greeted warmly by the front office staff and offered water while I waited. It turns out I didn't wait at all. I wasn't even finished filling out paperwork when they called me back. The hygienist that I saw was Eric. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He went over all my x-rays as well as pictures with me and explained everything very well. The dentist I saw was warm, friendly, and efficient. I would recommend this office to anyone. Had a cleaning and free teeth whitening last year. Went back this year for an exam and cleaning. Had a couple of teeth that needed some work. Was able to make an appointment and get both of them filled in less than an hour. No pain or soreness after which was a huge plus. Best experience I've ever had at a dentist office. I'm going to go as far as saying I actually enjoyed myself. I was scheduled for a dreaded deep cleaning for all four quadrants. Once in the chair under a cozy blanket with my earphones in place, protective sunglasses on, tv monitor above. My hygienist Eric gently administered practically painless Novacaine shots. I'm was pleased with my experience here and also was let down with my results. I went for a consultation on invisalign. Originally I didn't know they would include a whitening session along with the consultation and cleaning. The good stuff:I felt extremely comfortable and Eric took his time doing a cleaning for me . My cleaning and consultation were like having a conversation with friends. Eric was very personable and funny to be around. I loved meeting with the doctor ( I can't remember her name). They went through a lot of options with me and talked about good oral health and prevention methods. Apparently they don't schedule their whitening sessions but certain days, and so I scheduled for a whitening . I came back for my whitening and I did like the flat screen tv on the ceiling with netflix. I sat there through my 3 sessions of 20 mins and that was that. I literally saw no difference in my teeth color. The odd thing was, I saw a slight improvement on my back and side teeth. Not really the first thing people see when you smile. I did get a deal online for this service and got a great deal-- but realistically I doubt I will return for anymore services. read more
