You know it's a somewhat dire situation when you call your dentist to reschedule a filling. Most of us would wait until the second or third follow up from them to get to it. Yes, I was in a bit of pain and it couldn't wait much longer. I was supposed to get a filling back in early April, which was canceled for obvious reasons. Pearl was going to contact me when they were able to reschedule. I waited until Gov Polis announced that non-emergency procedures could resume and contacted Pearl's offices. It couldn't wait. All of the necessary safety precautions were followed: Spaced out appointments so really no contact with anyone but the staff. I had to fill out a COVID survey before even going into the building. They took my temperature and made sure I wasn't feeling ill as soon as I got into the office. Everyone was wearing masks/face shields, gloves and protective gear over their scrubs. Was getting the filling fun? NO. Does my mouth feel better? Yes. Was it safe? Absolutely. Do not be afraid to visit the dentist over COVID, at least not with Pearl Dentistry. read more

The people that run this business are absolute crooks. I showed up for my first time ever for a regular, routine cleaning and the hygenist walked in and said "ready for your filling?" They had the complete wrong paperwork and patient info. They sent me home and told me I had to come back another day because they messed up the schedule. When I came back for my cleaning, they forced me to do x-rays and told me they would not clean my teeth without them. Then, they sent me a bill for $200 in the mail. Seriously the best dental experience of my life. This place has it going on! I'm a new patient here and have had a few bad experiences with a prior dental office, so I decided to try Pearl based on the recommendation of multiple friends. Dr. Nichols is fantastic! Super friendly and kind, and she explains what she's doing every step of the way. I had to have a filling today, and I didn't even feel the needle when they numbed me up because they used a topical numbing agent first... I had to ask, "did you already do it?" It's the little things that make a difference here... the safety eyewear they give you to wear are sunglasses, which is awesome when there's a bright light in your face - never had that before! They bring the TV above you so you can watch it while they're working, and they offer you headphones to wear so you can listen to the program while they're working on your mouth. Upgrading my review from 4 to 5 stars! Everyone on staff at Pearl Dentistry is friendly, professional and thorough. Even my dentist-phobic husband likes going there. I've been seeing Dr. Glamm for a couple of years now. Not only is she taking great care of me and my husband, but she even worked in my dad for an emergency appointment for a broken tooth while he was here for a visit. She still asks about him whenever I go in for a checkup. The facilities are gorgeous (it looks more like a yoga studio than a dentist's office), with lots of light and privacy. Pearl Dentistry is the best place to find a good dentist. I was recommended to Dr. Stephanie Walker and could not be happier with her work. Everyone at Pearl Dentistry is very nice and compassionate. When I initially came in for an appointment a few months ago, I was scared to death as I have not had the best experiences with dentists in the past. Dr. Walker and the other dental assistants calmed me down and told me exactly what they were going to do, how much everything was going to cost, and let me be the decision maker without any pressure. It had been several years since I had seen a dentist so you can imagine that I assumed the worst. It turned out that I only had four teeny cavities and was in need of a solid deep cleaning. When I came in a couple weeks later to get my teeth cleaned, they gave me headphones and let me watch TV which calmed me down significantly. The numbing process didn't hurt at all. The next thing I knew, my appointment was over. Today as I write this, the anesthetic from two fillings is wearing off. I was in there for about an hour and the process was painless. Dr. Walker answered all of my questions and walked me through the filing process. I didn't even get through an entire episode of "How It's Made" before my fillings were complete. They worked out a payment plan that I can afford and scheduling my next appointment was easy. All of the staff members that I've met at Pearl Dentistry are fabulous and I would highly recommend going here for your dentistry needs. Their location is clean and is decorated in a very welcoming, calming fashion so that even the biggest scaredy cats feel comfortable. I decided to try Pearl Dentistry since I live and work in the neighborhood and to my pleasant surprise, they were excellent! The entire staff was courteous, and so helpful. They made sure to explain everything very clearly and were senstitive to the fact that I'm carefully on a budget. They were sure to help me understand what my insurance will cover and they go the extra mile to make sure you are informed and understand everything you're looking at and dealing with. As a new patient at Pearl Dentistry, I ran into some insurance confusion based on the plan I have versus what was ultimately covered for my routine cleaning. Although I was originally dissatisfied receiving a pricey bill, the employees at Pearl Dentistry went above and beyond to try to dispute the charges with the insurance company, thoroughly explained what occurred and clarified the fine details of my insurance that aren't clearly identifiable. The tricky situation lead to a great learning opportunity for the company as well as for me. Everyone in the practice was welcoming from the moment I arrived. The hygienist who performed my cleaning as well as the dentist who performed the exam were both very thorough, friendly and highly knowledgeable. Have you ever had a dentist that truly loved what they do? That is exactly how Pearl Dentistry feels. Warm, welcoming yet still specialized and professional. Just ask Dr Walker what she would do to enhance your smile. I am very happy with the work she has done and the minimal costs it has been (they are a preferred Cigna dentist). Pearl specializes in a healthy mouth as well as 'smile enhancement'. They answered all my questions, handled all the insurance paperwork (as a dentist office should), came up with a treatment plan and even offered a payment plan if I so desired. They ask for no money up front and bill me only after they bill my insurance. Yes, I have had dentists want me to pay the full bill and get reimbursed "if/when" my insurance paid. They also gave me a deal on whitening as a new patient. I've referred so many friends to Pearl that they have bought me dinner more than once (this means they send me gift cards to awesome restuarants as a 'thank you'). read more

Don't use this dentist practice unless you want to pay more and get scammed. I have always done my 2 cleanings a year and take good care of my teeth. I rarely have had issues. I went to Pearl and they charged me for a deep clean the first time I was there, then said I needed to come back to fix a filling. then my next clean they wanted to schedule 4 months out - that was extra out of pocket for me too. Then 6 months after that 2nd cleaning I went back for what would have been a routine clean covered under insurance. They didn't even finish the full cleaning and flossing and then wanted to charge me extra for a deep clean - that they didn't even do. Everything they had completed was what I normally have done in my biannual visit. They also were pushing I have the $800 deep scale under the gum cleaning scheduled. I got 3 other dentist opinions, one being a periodontist and all of them agreed it was not needed. This practice just charges as much as they can. Not one of my visits did they bill under the typical cleaning for insurance to cover 100%. They are NOT ethical and they will charge as much as they can get away with. I recommend to NOT GO HERE! read more

Went to Pearl Dentistry after I was unsatisfied with the multiple attempts by my regular dentist to fix my front two teeth after chipping them. They are my front teeth so I was pretty particular in how they look after being fixed. First, the front desk staff was very welcoming and helpful. Next, Nadine, the dental assistant was awesome, walking me through the process of what they do. Next, Dr. Nichols was very thorough, detail-oriented and, most importantly, did an excellent job fixing my two front teeth. Last, the office was very nice with TVs and headphones which made my hour-long procedure feel like 15 minutes. I would highly recommend this practice! read more

Do not go to this dentist. Average cleaning at incredibly high prices with a deceptive front desk and dentist staff. The whole experience left me feeling like I have been swindled by a crooked used car dealer. I called ahead to see if this location was in-network for Metlife and the resonse was "We take all insurances" which was very deceptive because this dentist is not in network for Metlife. At the end of my appointment the front desk staff asked for a co-pay. I informed them that I did not have a co-pay for routine cleanings. They said that I had to pay the portion that my insurance company did not pay. This is the first that I was informed there would be an out of pocket cost. The fact that they knew this information but waited until after my appointment to tell me is deceitful and immoral. Had the front desk staff honestly answered my question regarding being in network or out of network, I would not have gone here. I specified that I only wanted a cleaning but the staff insisted on taking x-rays. I told them that I did not need x-rays because I had them taken 4 months ago and everything was fine. They assured me that they called my insurance company and that the x-rays would be included with my routine exam. This is inaccurate and have been billed $92 for the x-rays that I did not want and were NOT covered by my insurance. This was also very deceptive of the staff. This dentist office billed me $295 for a routine cleaning. My out of pocket cost for 15 minutes of work is $160. I have never had to pay any portion of routine cleanings in the past. Please do yourself a favor and walk down the street to Sloan's Lake Dental. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I have never felt more out of the loop and ignored than I did talking to these people. Especially, Dr. Glam. Not to mention no one ever seemed to know what was going on. The utter lack of listening to what I wanted and needed was insane. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Pearl Densitry has their own agenda and they don't care what you can afford or not. I had a conversation with Dr. Glam for over 45 min in the process of what was to be done with the work I needed and could afford. Apparently, this did not matter because 2 days before my appointment I get a call with the exact opposite information that was discussed with an exuberant $ amount. The same thing happened with my cleaning. I was quoted one thing and without discussion, until afterwards, was given another. This place is a joke and if your not careful, will pull a fast one on you leaving you broke and dissatisfied. read more

The absolute worst dental experience of my life. First of all, no one really likes going to the dentist. I dread it. In fact, I hadn't been in probably ten years. When I scheduled my appointment at Pearl, everything seemed great. Upon examination, I learned I only had two cavities. I was also informed it would be wise to get my wisdom teeth out. I scheduled several visits for the operations. On the first visit, Dr. Walker filled the cavities. That went well. Until I received the bill. I was told my health insurance (which is top notch) was going to cover everything. $323 later...I was not happy. When I went in to get my wisdom teeth removed, Dr. Walker did something so unprofessional. She took one of them out and then asked me to excuse her while she goes and works on another patient. I sat there for 45 minutes, waiting for her to return to remove the other tooth. I was outraged. When she completed, my mouth hurt like hell and I developed a dry socket because she did not tell me what to do and not to do. Oh, and then the other bill came...$450. To add insult to injury, the staff at Pearl called and emailed me about this bill every day for two weeks following the appointment. Of course, I cancelled my third appointment to have the other two wisdom teeth removed. I decided to write a review because I just received an email from Pearl saying 'it is time for your checkup." Obviously this is automated but I don't care. The place is unprofessional and I now, once again, have a distaste for dentists. Thanks for nothing Pearl! read more

Watch out for the $75 charge for a reschedule that is not within 48 hours. You signed that paperwork when you walked prior to your first appointment. AND, you have to call on Friday if it's your Tuesday appointment. No flexibility. Even if you have an emergency or mother nature or something does not permit you to make the appointment, the woman on the phone, the gatekeeper, will just reiterate that policy. I needed to reschedule because I work downtown and getting to my 3pm appointment with the Superbowl Parade would have made it impossible to get through the roads. My day job doesn't permit us to work from home. I called to reschedule and I was told that I will be charged $75. Not a great policy nor a good way to retain a client base. It actually saddened me because I did have good experience otherwise. read more

I have to admit, I am not a fan of the dentist office but I have never felt more comfortable at the dentist's office than at Pearl Dentistry. From the moment you walk in the door, everyone is super friendly and comforting. Dr. Glamm and her staff are super thorough, without lecturing you too much about how much more you need to floss. They do however offer helpful tips and recommendations, and they have fun goody bags for after your appointment. (Chapstick, toothbrush, mouthwash, and of course floss) When I had to get a cavity filled, I was dreading the appointment because it seems no matter how much they numb you up, I still feel it. I was amazed when I didn't feel a thing, it seriously was a fantastic experience! (And I got to watch TV with headphones while they were filling my cavity) I recommend this office to everyone, they truly are fantastic. read more

Yo! These ladies are the only ones I trust with my grill. Came into today to my 6-month cleaning and, as always, they on point for real. Never a wait. They gots they s**t together, fo real. Kelly the hygienist got me all fixed up on the quickness. My gurl bought me some fancy a** sonic care toothbrush so I'm sure that helped. Kelly has got the magic touch though. Dr. Glamm is an amazing dentist and Pearl Dentistry is the place to go! I hadn't been to the dentist in 7 years. I was deeply afraid of going. My experiences with dentists in the past, involved 3+ years in orthodontics, teeth extractions, and exposures (where they cut into you gums to pull teeth up). Needless to say, those experiences weren't terribly pleasant. Dr. Glamm and her staff were really patient with me. I had explained the situation to her, and she took the time to carefully explain the things that needed to be taken care of. I had a tooth that was ruptured in half, and a handful of cavities. All of that has since been taken care of, and the work looks phenomenal. The office is very modern, and it doesn't have any trace of that horrible dentist's office smell. The facilities are state of the art including instantaneous digital x-rays, nitrous oxide, TVs to watch Sportscenter and your favorite movies on. Scheduling an appointment is real easy, and they were very clear and upfront with me about what things would cost and how long it would take. I have been a patient at Pearl Dentistry for the past 4 years. I came to Peal after another dentist in the area, Dental Elements, suggested I have some dental work done that I thought was unnecessary. Sure enough, after getting a second opinion from Dr. Walker at Pearl, I just needed to start using a Sonicare and flossing more regularly, instead of having periodontal work and a deep cleaning done (Dental Elements quoted around $500). I have referred multiple people who are new to Denver to Pearl and have never heard anything negative from my friends or co-workers. My hygienist, Carolyn, is amazing and always takes the time to explain to me what is going on with my teeth and how to improve - she rocks!! Everyone at Pearl Dentistry is extremely friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The staff is very knowledgeable and sweet. Alli and Laura (at the front desk) always answer all of my insurance questions and try to fit my family and I in on short notice. They have been fantastic! I have had work done by all three of the dentists and each one is thorough, professional, and makes sure their work is perfect and looks/feels good. I recently broke out my front tooth, they got me in right away and made sure that my temporary bonding looked fantastic. They saved me! I have had such bad dental work done in the past that I never want to go anywhere else because they actually know and care about what they are doing. I hadn't been to the dentist in 2-3 years, so I knew I was in for a lengthy and thorough check up when I scheduled my appointment. While I was right about having to be there for a while, it wasn't because I was waiting for the dental assistant or Dr. Walker. I am used to going to the dentist and only seeing 'the dentist' for about 5-15 mins while the dental assistant does the majority of legwork. Couldn't be happier with Pearl Dentistry and their team! Let me preface by saying, I've had my fair share of dental work. Finding someone I trusted after seeing my previous dentist of 15+ years was no easy feat. A permanent move out to Denver prompted my search and I was immediately discouraged. I actually (oddly) love the dentist & I understand the need for routine check-ups/cleanings. I felt most of the dentists I had seen were over eager to push elective procedures that they advised were necessary. Several failed visits resulting in misdiagnoses & unnecessary procedures had me pretty peeved. I found Pearl and was immediately impressed. I'll start with the office; it's the most well-kept dental office I've ever seen - top of the line everything, always spotless, a friendly staff. I read some reviews online regarding insurance snafus, so I made sure to call the front desk to confirm that they took my insurance. Dental work is expensive like any other line of healthcare, but I prefer Pearl's preventative approach. Who wouldn't want a dentist that catches a problem before your tooth starts aching and you need hundreds of dollars worth of work done? Carolyn, the hygienist, does an amazing job every time she cleans my teeth. She spends the full hour making sure everything is done perfectly - you won't find anyone that does a better job. I see Dr. Walker & she is wonderful. Not only do I feel like she's incredibly knowledgeable, but she's very thorough - she won't pop in for two minutes & leave. She'll mark teeth 'to watch' instead of telling you a procedure needs to be done immediately, which makes me trust her when she tells me a procedure cannot wait. Don't think Dr. Walker will perform any procedure without thoroughly explaining it first. She does a great job walking through procedures (big or small) with you and I always feel comfortable asking additional questions. Another huge benefit is the network of doctor's Pearl Dentistry knows - several times I've had to see a specialist for a second opinion and Dr. Walker has taken care of every referral. A few months ago, I went in feeling some sensitivity around a crown (done 10 years ago by my previous dentist) Dr. Walker wasn't available, so Dr. Glamm jumped in to see me that day. I was equally impressed with Dr. Glamm, as I think the two dentists are very similar in their approach.
