I've been to sloanside dental a few times now both for work (fillings) and cleanings. Each time I've been happy with the results. Dr Bennett and his team have integrity and it really shows with their work. Recently I came in after not having a cleaning in a long time. Dr Bennett explained the condition of my teeth, where things looked good and potential areas of concern. It was almost like he was explaining it to a first year dental student, and it helped demystify the process. Ultimately, my teeth passed the inspection, and I did not need any additional work. I was happy to hear that, though it was his X-ray explanations that gave me peace of mind. Also, I had a question about whitening products. His staff told me the pros and cons of each method so I can make an educated choice for my teeth, instead of just encouraging the most expensive option. It always bums me out when I need to find a new healthcare professional because I can be picky, especially when I'm limited by insurance options. Fortunately as I scrolled through the practices accepted by Delta Dental, Sloanside Dental yielded positive reviews on Yelp. Making an initial appointment on their website was easy, and it was scheduled right away. I've somehow gotten lucky parking in the tiny lot right outside. Getting examined, teeth cleaned, and x-rayed was super efficient. Every staff member I encountered was wonderful, and Dr. Bennett is a cool dude. Having grown up in a family of dentists, this office made me feel right at home, which for most people is probably weird to say about their dentist. Anyways, online bill pay and electronic record transfer is seamless, too. I can't say enough good things about Sloanside Dental! read more

Ooof, I had gone to this dentist a couple times with relatively positive experiences. I made an appointment over a month ago for a cleaning tomorrow. Someone from the office called twice today (after sending a text yesterday to confirm the appointment) to get my insurance information. I gave her the insurance information but also said I'd prefer not to get multiple calls during the work day. I'm already taking time off tomorrow and I was going to get to the appointment a little early to make sure all the paperwork is squared away. Raquel, the office manger immediately called me back (now three calls during the middle of my work day) to yell at me. Well, rather, ::insert strong voice:: " to make sure *you* understand why we're calling, Amanda." Look, I get that sometimes you have to use a toddler's voice at he end of a scolding because they don't understand that you're talking to them. And, giving Raquel the benefit of the doubt, maybe she had toddlers she's used to speaking to at home; but, it felt like some sort of very strange power trip from someone (a) I was paying for a service and (b) hadn't met before. It was so bizarre. I've never had someone call just to yell at me. Impressively bad customer service. I'll be going elsewhere. read more

Service was fine, but whoever is running billing is very incompetent. I have been getting hassled since an august visit over my insurance denying the claim come to find out it is because their office has not sent required documentation and I was threatened that the bill was going to be sent to a debt collector. All because their office did not sent the required documents to the insurance company. Every time I try and call with insurance on the phone they tell me the person who deals with the bills is out. While I've always received excellent dental care, I am forced to leave a negative review because of the following situation: I work in a profession that sometimes requires me to take emergency action at a moment's notice. On three occasions I was required to cancel appointments at the last minute, most recently to accompany a minor to the hospital until their parents arrived. I called and said I couldn't make my appointment and was told that because this is the third time that I had to reschedule, that I can no longer make appointments at all, I can only call day-of to see if they have a spot. I've spent thousands of dollars here, and I'm treated like a criminal because I needed to provide emergency care to a child. Pretty crappy way to treat your clients. I understand that last minute rescheduling is inconvenient, but this policy is way too punitive. read more

I had an emergency to pick my son up because he wasn't feeling good (he is 3). I Called to cancel and the front receptionist working today had a horrible attitude stating that they will no longer be able to see me because today's appointment would have been 4 cancelations since 2017. My appointment today was ORIGINALLY at 11am and they changed it to 1 pm... which my 11 am appointment would have worked perfect, but they expect us to bend over backwards and reschedule/cancel our appointments but when we call it's the end of the world. The doctor was GREAT though, I used to live down the street and now I travel all the way from Highlands ranch go see him. I'll be looking for another dentist office who understands that my child's health will always come first and if I get called into work that is equally important to support my family. read more

After being told, by a similarly named dental practice, that I needed $2k out of pocket dental work 2 visits in a row when I have no pain I decided to change dental practices. I was very impressed with how gentle and thorough the dental hygienist was with my x-rays and cleaning. She used minimal harsh metal scaling and used mostly a water technique...forgive my ignorance of dental medical terminology. Dr. Darren Bennett reviewed my dental x-rays with me tooth-by-tooth showing me both healthy and problematic areas which gave me full trust in his diagnostic assessment. This is the best dental practice I've ever been to. They are quick and do a great job. In the past I always feel like every new dentist finds something wrong or criticizes previous work followed by the suggestion of a pricey procedure. Dr. Bennett is fair and honest and I've never questioned his advice or motives. Can only comment on my first appointment with Dr. Bennett and his staff but very pleased with my experience. Scheduling was seamless, got text reminders. Front office is polite and professional. The office itself has a reserved parking spot for the dentists office so you don't have to fret or at least your chance of parking spot goes up, otherwise you just have to walk short distance to the lot behind the plaza at most. Office is clean. The assistant was adorable (in training). Hygienist was super thorough. Dentist was knowledgeable and had a friendly demeanor. Great in every way! Staff: helpful and communicative. They are flexible and accommodating when I've had to change appointments. Booking is easy, though their appointment times do fill up since this is a popular practice. Dr. Bennett: everything you want in a dentist. He's knowledgeable, professional, and kind. He takes the time to listen, answer questions, and explain his approach. He takes advantage of the latest technology, e.g., x-ray machine takes a full panorama of the teeth and mouth to create a 3-D rendering. He'd then take the time to explain the x-ray images. This is a far cry from my last dentist, who didn't have anywhere near this level of technical sophistication, and probably missed a few things. I like knowing that my dentist uses state-of-the-art imaging tech. Facilities: modern, comfortable, and clean. An enjoyable experience, all around! read more

Went here on the 15th because of an ad in the Neighborhood Gazette advertising $85 for new patients getting an Adult Exam. Walked out paying $115 with no cleaning (just an exam) due to being recommended two treatments of Periodontal Scaling and Root Planing instead. I respect their decision not to go forward with the cleaning. What I didn't like was that there wasn't enough explanation on their end on why the cleaning couldn't go on as scheduled. I remember asking the guy who x rayed my teeth in an effort to cut the confusion if it would make things worse and he said yes. It didn't help that immediately after the appointment was over they were quick to walk me over to the Receptionist to schedule an appointment for the Scaling and Root Planing. As a patient with no dental insurance, I felt insulted that I should be expected to immediately book this treatment without thinking it over first especially after getting quoted $1107. I left the office feeling like I was pressured to take the bait into being upsold. All that aside, what really gets to me is that they didn't honor the price on the ad despite me mentioning it on the phone when I booked and when I filled out all the forms electronically. Found my copy of the Gazette on my table the day after my appointment and it said it expires on 2/28/17. If you can't even remember the promotions on ads you paid for, I don't know if I can trust making future appointments with you. *Update: Since I've posted this review Dr. Bennett has reached out to me and I've gotten a refund. I have added one additional star to my review in appreciation of his efforts. read more

I'm new to town, though only here for a few months. I found this dentist through yelp. Front desk staff was welcoming and made my check-in process seamless. My hygienist took time to talk to me prior to my cleaning. She listened to my concerns and honored my request for a "bare minimum" visit as I have a regular dentist I use for fillings, procedures, etc. back home in Connecticut. She explained every tool she was using and why she was using it during my cleaning. When the dentist came in, he took time to explain the remarks he was making to the hygienist as he examined my mouth. No pain, clean teeth, nice, professional people. Highly recommend. read more

I went in today and experienced poor customer service from the staff at the front desk and have disagreements with billing. I got a regular cleaning and they charged me for A more expensive cleaning because of the "condition of my gums". This is not logical because I've had cleanings many times and 1. They didn't take any extra time to do the cleaning 2. They did not administer any numbing medication. It was a regular cleaning. Another annoyance is that initially the hygienist forgot to take extras and I had to ask if I was due for those. The equipment wasn't working correctly and we had to go to the room over and then she didn't do x rays of my full mouth. I had to ask to have my full mouth x rayed. Then I see that I have a charge for an "additional radiographic image" on my invoice. I also had issues last summer where the hygienist didn't numb me correctly and did not do a complete cleaning and when I asked how much the bill would be upon leaving they told me it would be x amount and a month later they said that I had to pay $200. I do like Dr Bennett and his wife who is a dentist here too and the hygienists have been fine for the most part but I don't appreciate the customer service and billing aspect of who I believe is the Office Manager. I think the logic doesn't add up for being billed based on the condition of my gums because they didn't provide any extra care... even if they did provide extra care it might have added up to a few more minutes... I won't be going back her mainly because of the Office Manager. read more

Holy crap! Fastest filling ever. I came here after a previous dentist told me that I had thirteen cavities. Dr. Bennett told me I had a few spots I needed to watch, but only one cavity that actually needed to be filled. He even snapped a picture of the cavity on his fancy wand camera - and I might have majored in Journalism and not Dentistry, but yep - it was a cavity. I came in to get the cavity filled today - expecting for the worst. (I have had one small cavity filled before and it was unbearably painful for me. I'm a wuss about drills.) But it only took about 18 minutes of waiting + 15 minutes for it to actually be filled. Fillings aren't what I call "fun" - but this was probably the closest thing. It was quick and painless. I highly recommend Dr. Bennett! He is a great dentist and explains everything he's doing. If you do need to schedule a follow-up appointment it might take a few weeks for you to get an appointment that works with your schedule - just because they are so booked. But that's not necessarily a bad thing - it just shows how reputable Dr. Bennett is! read more

34wks pregnant with apparently a very hairy baby, I was trying to practice some self care with a dental cleaning . . . unfortunately, being tilted back in the chair really (really) ignited my heartburn. Luckily, Sloanside Dental has the most compassionate staff. Eugene, the dental hygienist, was very caring, proficient, and went above and beyond to make me comfortable. He and Dr. Bennett both made me feel like they were family men who were empathetic to my discomfort. Despite all the awful acid burning ickiness, I left happy that I had my teeth cleaned and evaluated. Maybe I wouldn't recommend dental work in late pregnancy, but I would DEFINITELY recommend Sloanside Dental! Personable staff, nice office. read more

After doing a great deal of research, I chose this office for several reasons: it's a new practice with modern equipment, younger doctors with the latest and most relevant education, and a well-rounded knowledgeable and friendly staff. I emailed the practice to see if this was a good fit, and was pleasantly surprised to have a personal email from Dr. Bennett in response. My experience started when I called to ask various questions about insurance and practices, my questions were met with a friendly and very knowledgeable office manager named Raquel. She went above and beyond to answer my questions and provide advice with specific insurance issues I encountered. The hygienist was very friendly, provided education and tips on how to improve some areas of my gums that had recessed, as well as engaged in friendly conversation. My teeth felt great when he finished. Lastly, Dr. Bennett looked over my teeth/gums/X-rays and was very gentle in touch and kind with communication. He also removed old bonding material and smoothed a sharp area where a tooth had chipped at no additional charge to myself or insurance. I am excited to have found a private practice that I can call my own. read more

Best dentist I've ever had. Dr. Bennett always goes above and beyond to make sure his patients are happy and healthy. My appointments are always pain-free and low anxiety. I came in for an emergency procedure and Sloanside was able to accommodate me right away. They were even able to get me back in the same day for a minor adjustment to my temporary crown because it was slightly uncomfortable. Has anyone else struggled to find a dentist they trust? It can be a real challenge even just finding a clinic with consistent reviews. I think we've all been burned before by a dentist who over drilled, over-charged or oversold cosmetic services. That's why I'm thankful for y'alls input on Sloanside, so glad I found this place! I used to go to a dentist in Englewood who definitively got drill-happy with my mouth and also overcharged me (and kept my balance). Shady! My experience with Dr Bennet has been great all around. The entire staff is very pleasant and good at making you feel comfortable. Most importantly, Dr Bennet seems to take a conservative approach. This was definitely the case for my bf, who came here after another dentist told him he needed a new bridge. Dr Bennet recommended holding off on the replacement and instead did some cleaning and other maintenance procedures. Sorry I don't know all the right terminology for what they did but in summary it saved my bf a lot of unnecessary headache and money. The only odd experience I had was once during a checkup they told me I would need a minor repair on a filling, but I got busy and never scheduled the follow up. When I finally came back for my next checkup there was no record of ever needing this filling and no indication I still needed it...huh???
