I had fillings done in two rounds, the first about 4 weeks ago and the second 3 weeks ago, and I have been in severe pain ever since. I have been unable to chew properly on either side. I returned for an adjustment on one side 3 weeks ago, but the experience only made things worse. Not only did the pain get worse after the adjustment, but my pain was completely dismissed and minimized, and the appointment felt extremely rushed. After "adjusting" I was told that the pain was normal and that "you have plenty of teeth left to chew with," even though I was clearly explaining that both sides were hurting and that chewing had become very difficult on both sides. The pain only worsened from there. I spent nearly $1,000 on these fillings, only to lose trust in this office and have to seek care from a different dentist for further adjustment. After adjustment, I am still in pain, and now it appears that one or more fillings may need to be completely redone, which increases the risk of needing more serious treatment like a root canal. Another major issue was that my chart/profile contained incorrect information. When I confronted the office about it, I was told their AI had supposedly "misheard" me. That is not possible, because we never even discussed that information out loud. Being given that kind of excuse instead of a direct acknowledgment and correction was so off-putting. If they cannot keep basic patient information accurate, it raises serious questions about their professionalism and attention to detail. This has been a mortifying experience and a huge waste of money, time, and mental energy. It is incredibly upsetting to pay this much for treatment that caused ongoing pain, then have my concerns brushed off instead of properly addressed. I deeply regret going here and wish I could get a refund. I now understand why this office has so many negative reviews about botched fillings and concerns being dismissed. Based on my experience, those reviews were absolutely accurate. UPDATE- I DO have to get at least one filling completely redone and it's going to cost me 320$ because I do not have any more insurance money left. Mind you, I've already spent another 300 at this new dentist for examining and X-rays. read more

Run -- disciplinary action against Dr Bryant's license. He bills you 18 months later for all the "cavities". Get a second opinion before letting him touch your teeth because his fillings will need to be redone multiple times based on my experience. read more

I had fairly poor teeth healthy when I came in initially, they always made me feel comfortable, no shaming, and when the grinding for a crown got to be a lot the have two very sweet dogs (hypoallergenic poodles ) that come around and share some love! Wonderfully people, kind, attentive, would highly suggest to a friend. read more

I actually had a really wonderful experience at my dental appt today as a new patient. The front desk assistant Ruby was pleasant and helpful. My dental assistant was Faith. She was personable and bubbly! She took a very thorough look at my teeth. The Dr came up with an individualized plan of care based on my current health needs. I've lived in Denver now for four years and would always fly back to my dentist in Milwaukee to have my teeth cleaned and any work done on them. I decided to go to Dr.Bryant in the fall due to a frozen candy bar cracked an old filling. Dr.Bryant and his team were very professional and the times I've gone back has always taken me on time. I went here for years and I started complaining of a tooth bothering me and every time I asked about it, I was told it was fine. Well I went somewhere else because I didn't feel heard and I was correct in knowing something was wrong. The other dentist found an infection in my gums from a cut in my mouth caused by a tooth that lost a filling that Dr. Bryan filled. And I kept complaining about said tooth and the Dr here did nothing about it. It definitely made me feel unheard. I'm so glad I went and got that second opinion. This dentist is a cavity chaser. And update since I wrote this, this Dr. now stalks me on Linkedin. Facts about my visit: - Professionalism of Dr was entirely lacking (and continues to be so considering the stalking on Linkedin) - Long-winded and unnecessary appointment time focused on upselling services that the patient does not need. Claiming egregious dental work needs to be done when it does not. - NO CLEANING. Unless you speak up. PLEASE SPEAK UP. This is the only dentist on the earth that thinks that scaling teeth for plaque harms the teeth. Be very careful to not agree to anything until getting a SECOND OPINION. - Distracting dog. I love dogs, don't get me wrong, but there is a time and place for them and it's not in my lap during a dental visit for the simple reason that it is not hygienic! - Motivations of Dr. are to seem like a "cool guy" with his dog and demeanor so that he can disarm you, gain your trust professionally, so that they can take you financially and (according to other reviews) botch your work so you have to get it fixed someplace else. - Dr. also does the teeth cleanings if you assertively ask for one (not a hygienist) which is alarming. He is aggressive and not coordinated. Splashed my face with water. - Dr. speaks aggressively with staff that he is training which is awkward because it's not like he could do the job any better than they could considering what was observed. - Dr. volunteers information about personal life that is not appropriate and is awkward for patients I would not be at all surprised if this office get's slapped with a lawsuit eventually. PLEASE read the low-rated reviews on google, and watch out for this person. I do not believe that he is ethical or genuine. There are so many other great dentists in town. AVOID!!!!!!! The time has come for me to leave this practice for a better dentist and share my experience with others to hopefully save them time, pain and money. Every procedure needed to be redone which includes multiple fillings and a crown that fell completely off. The office charged me to have the crown/tooth examined which was causing excruciating pain. Dr. Bryant stated it was sealed properly and recommended a root canal. Days later the crown detached completely, thankfully a second opinion reinstalled the crown for free and did not think a root canal was necessary. The day I had my tooth/crown examined due to pain, I was not informed of the charges and they were added to my account without my consent nor knowledge. Additionally, there was a significant difference between the original quote I received and the quote the day of the procedure for my crowns. They did a partial adjustment for the difference and financed the remaining balance but this was extremely frustrating. I recommend avoiding this practice. I am not sure why I went back after botched the botched work I received. If you decide to give this place a try definitely get second opinions and audit your account after every visit. read more

Wow! What a shocking experience! I had been going to a different dentist for 20 years, and thought that maybe it was time for a new perspective that was closer to home, so I had my wife go here. The staff was nice, as was the dentist, and the office was new with nice windows, seemed great. The results of the exam were 9 cavities and 2 crowns at a cost that was close to $3k with my insurance! Panicking, we set up an appointment with my old dentist, expecting the worst but wanted a second opinion. He told us that my wife had NO CAVITIES but sadly did need the crowns, but the cost of both was half of what South Shore Dental quoted us AND both could be done on the same day, less than $1k!! We scheduled the crown appointment and went out and celebrated the cost savings! The moral of the story here is always get a second opinion because over diagnoses is common in the dental industry! read more

I have feared going to the dentist due to bad past experiences, but this incredible team addressed all of my concerns, presented the costs upfront so there were no surprises, and helped me come up with the perfect treatment plan with me and worked with me to make an affordable plan that fits my needs. They were all so kind, professional, and caring. They patiently answered all of my questions and walked me through the process step by step. Before I start this review of South shore dental I would like to say that comfort dental took great care of me on my first root canal 12 years ago. I went to South shore dental about 18 months ago. I knew I had some issues but I didn't suspect I needed a root canal. Apparently I did. The thing that got me the most was that I had to go to a specialist. When I had my first root canal everything was done in the same office on the same day so I did not understand why this had to be such a process. It took more than a week from my first visit to complete the process. Actually maybe that's not what got me the most. Here's what got me the most; the staff at Southshore told me that they would be sending my x-rays over to the specialist. The problem was that when I got to the specialist the next day, which was a Friday, they said that Southshore had not sent my x-rays over. The specialist tried to call south shore but apparently their offices are closed on Fridays. Mind you this is pre-pandemic. So the specialist had to take new x-rays which meant that my insurance got billed twice for x-rays. A few things that were notable about my visit to Southshore was that the girl that was at the front desk was very rude and snotty. The dentist had his two dogs running around the office while he was working on my teeth. The dental assistant was 90 to nothing and could hardly hold still. She could not stop talking. She made me feel like she was on uppers. The dentist himself, well, he seemed overconfident, arrogant and borderline cocky which is never a good feeling for me. The actual work that they did was a nightmare. They had me in the chair longer than anybody would've liked because they couldn't get the cap to fit the tooth and they had to keep sanding the tooth down. When I went home and flossed there was like a weird piece of glue or some thing that the floss would get caught on. It almost felt like they put too much glue in and it came out the top and it made a little ledge on the edge of my tooth. Obviously I was traumatized enough that I did not want to go back to them and a told myself that it wasn't as bad as it really was because I didn't want to go back. All of these things I have seen past for the last 18 months. The next issue I present you with is why I finally broke down and wrote this review. Yesterday, as I'm eating a very soft piece of bread, the cap that covered where the root canal was performed, comes off and I swallow it. Now, on Christmas week, I am left with a huge void in my mouth. There is a lot of discomfort associated with the loss of the cap. And I get to look for somebody else during a pandemic on Christmas week to fix my tooth. I'm calling comfort dental. Like I said at the beginning of this review the first and only root canal I had done 12 years ago is very strong and very stable. The fact that I just got this root canal done 18 months ago and the cap fell off is unacceptable on so many levels. Anyways, I do not recommend. read more

I don't have a fear of dentists. I've never had a bad experience until coming here. I didn't have any tooth pain and just went in for a standard cleaning. Everything was fine, but they did say that one of my fillings was really old and needed to be replaced. So I scheduled a time to come back and replace it. After getting the filling re-done, I could not chew on that side of my mouth without sharp pain. I went back to the dentist several times, and the first couple of times all they did was try and shave down the filling. I didn't feel like this would do anything to help and said so. I was correct and had to schedule another followup. The third time, they decided to completely redo the filling, and this made the pain even worse. I was getting sick of going back to the same dentist with things either not getting better or deteriorating after each visit, so I decided to go somewhere else. The new dentist originally didn't suspect that there was an issue with the filling but was willing to redo it if I wanted to. I told them to do it. During the procedure, they realized that the filling was in fact shoddily done, and after the third time filling the same tooth things finally improved. However, I still had pain, and things eventually led to me needing a root canal. Looking back, I remember feeling pain during my filling from the South Shore dentist, and that was probably them hitting a nerve and killing my tooth. Obviously, I won't be back. read more

Thank goodness for the dogs & women working here because otherwise this place is an absolute disaster. I had an overwhelmingly terrible experience with David Bryant. I recently went in for an emergency visit due to swelling & pain after a recent crown he did, only for him to completely dismiss my pain then tell me I had a gum infection after 2 minutes in office - no X-rays done. I was asked over & over if I ate popcorn then sent me on my way with antibiotics. Within 12 hours my face doubled in size & eye almost shut! I rushed to find a second opinion & my new dentist confirmed I had an infection under the crown done 3 months ago & was sent for a root canal right away. My endodontist also said even IF it was a gum infection it should have been taken more seriously + a gum infection would not be ONLY above one tooth - the crown. I also discovered I was told I needed much more work than I actually did & was quoted double by South Shore! This is in addition to the horrible month I had with 3 temporary crowns waiting for the permanent crown. I kept waiting for things to get better each visit but I risked my health & wallet trusting David Bryant. I PAID EXTRA to have another dentist finish this crown after my root canal just so I could avoid going back here! Worst experience I have ever had in healthcare hands down. I wish I could get back my money, time & avoid the pain I endured due to my experience here but I hope this review helps someone else looking for a dentist find someone who cares to listen, actually says hello when you enter their office & takes your health seriously. Very laid back dentists, reasonable costs, nice use of modern medical technology, and they played edm instead of weird classic rock like most dentists. In fact most dentists in Denver are gouging patients and telling you your teeth are worse than they really are to upsell you. South Shore Dental didn't do that at all, so I will keep seeing them. read more

Dr. Ryan opened up this office not too long ago. It's a small office with very nice staff. He was great at explaining the X-rays and pointing out where another dentist made mistakes. I have a mouth full of fillings due to where I grew up, but he made it sound positive that I have 7 teeth which do not have fillings. I also emailed him with complaints about a tooth he just changed a filling on and that it doesn't feel quite right, and he offered to come in on a day the office is closed to make the adjustments. Very kind and personable, with nice staff. I didn't feel rushed or made to feel stupid for not knowing some dental procedures. I know they just opened, but I would recommend this office to anyone. read more

This is one of the slickest dental offices you'll ever visit, and he often has a therapy dog on hand for people with dental anxieties, which is pretty awesome. Shelby, Sirita and Dr Bryant made my experience at South Shore Dental one that I will never forget. The office manager, Shelby was patient, informative with explaining my insurance and made me feel comfortable right when I walked in. Sirita was a funny, relaxed and experienced tech that helped ease my worry of being at the Dentist. I don't like dentists (like most) and the team felt like they were specialized in patients with anxiety. Dr. Bryant takes his time to explain everything and answer and questions you may have. Worst Dentist experience I've ever had. They will try to sell you on everything. The 'dentist' is the one cleaning your teeth- not a hygienist which is a huge red flag. Also, they didn't clean my teeth. They up-charged me to clean the bottom front teeth. I sat there for almost two hours and finally had to tell them I had to leave. I was so confused the entire time. Most of the time I just sat there while they explained things that made me feel like I was in school to become a dentist. Just horrible. I've had a dentist do my cleaning before. Or complain that things were explained to you? Maybe you were too dumb to understand. Heaven forbid you should know what's going on with your dental health! Anyway - the staff is great, friendly, knowledgeable and have therapy dogs to go with it. Too many of you think you're a dental expert and know better. If another dentist says they can do something cheaper or something wasn't "as bad" they're apparently better? Maybe that dentist doesn't know what they're looking at? Honestly my gut told me this was a bad choice when this dentist told my husband that he gets photo tickets but doesn't pay them, and rather puts a note on his front door to not answer for 6 months until the city can no longer serve him for not paying. I really really wanted to like this dentist, but all I can say is STAY AWAY! I have wasted my time and money here. First, the cleaning. Virtually non-existant. I spent maybe 10 minutes in a chair with a lady who did nothing but a sloppy job polishing my teeth. The doctor scraped a small area for one minute literally, and then I was sent on my way. No flossing or anything else (bazaar given I was told I have something like 6 new cavities). Second I came in for an emergency repair on a crown. It has been expensive and I have no permanent crown in my mouth after multiple visits. The temporary came off twice in a row within hours of leaving the office, both times on Friday evening so that I did not get responses until Monday. Then the permanent came off inside a week. They do not give any aftercare instructions which they admittedly should have, do not necessarily give receipts, and the dentist has done nothing but make excuse after excuse which varies based on who knows what. After visiting a dentist with more than 25 years experience who came personally recommended by multiple people, I was told that my crown was not going to stay on because it was not set to dental standards (3mm) and was not shaped correctly. So disappointing and since South Shore refuses any money back and has already run insurance, I am paying out of pocket for the same crown to be done again. Oh, did I mention I did receive an offer from this doctor to spend more money with him to have my gums cut (surgery) so the crown will stay in place. He also claims I actually owe him more money than he originally quoted because he made the crown the same color as my teeth, but don't worry since I'm unhappy he will war that. Very disappointing and I recommend you choose someone with more experience and better character. read more

You guys have been such a headache since I started with you. Keeping me at appointments for 2-3hrs when I'm the only patient in there the entire time, for fillings because you're busy chatting about tv shows and searching random stuff on the computer. Didn't even have my information ready when I got there and were unprepared for my appointment. Trying to upsell me on things I clearly didn't need. The miscommunications have been stupid ridiculous. You contact me a month later about an insurance issue when you didn't even extend the courtesy to me of the inconvenience you cause with lack of communication on the week you decided to close the entire rest of the week for a Christian holiday that was on a Sunday, but didn't contact your patients to let them know. Now are trying to what I can only assume is, collect money from me a month later, and still don't communicate with me after I call and leave a VM. Like what the heck? Addressing me in my emails as Ashley even AFTER I emailed you with my name!? I'm your patient, address me by my correct name. Even worse, you did it not 1, not 2, but multiple times even on YOUR apathetic email reply stating I no longer wanted to work with you. No attempt to resolve your poor customer service. I was willing to let it go at my appointments because I was in need of someone since I was new to the area and already in your chair and you were trying to be nice/personable, but the professionalism line was crossed a while ago. Now it's just asinine and recommend you to no one when I DID RECOMMEND YOU TO PPL INITIALLY even though I was annoyed you wasted half my day because you were nice regardless of the service and seemed new. Digital x-rays were fast and comfortable, the doctor gave me a full rundown of the condition of my teeth and gums and provided me with options in my treatment plan.
