Am I providing a second updated review for Dentists on Pearl? Yes. Is it because they're so awesome everyone deserves to know it? YES! I've been going to Dentists on Pearl for almost 4 years since moving to Denver - and they are the first and only dentist practice I have every *actually* enjoyed going to. From the front desk staff to the dentists themselves, everyone makes you feel at ease. Diagnoses are given clearly with an explanation of what's wrong, what the options are, and why they recommend a certain procedure over another. On top of that, I'm pretty anxious when it comes to dentistry work, and the office offers nitrous oxide - which is an amazing option to remove some of the anxiety while still allowing for minor procedures to occur without sedation. Their office admin is incredibly lovely too, as they are always helpful with insurance claims and helping me understand my insurer's follow up letters. I cannot recommend them enough. I've been forced to change practices due to my move outside of the Denver metro area (insert crying emoji here). The minute I move back, I'll be sprinting to see them! THANK GOD! It is super scary going to the Dentist, and even scarier trying to find a NEW dentist! This practice really impressed me. First, the actual dentist does a new patient intake where she reviews your every tooth and every fascinating bit of your dental record. Yes, I chipped my front tooth in college drinking from a wine jug. Yes I had braces. I think they used laughing gas when they extracted my wisdom teeth. After a thorough exam, I went in for cleaning. I could not have been more pleased. The hygienist was careful, meticulous, thorough, and yet gentle. My mouth felt like the orbit gum commercial when finished. BRAVO!! I generally don't find it fair to review physicians on Yelp, but I have had SUCH a positive experience at The Dentists on Pearl that I wanted to make a public "thank you" to this office. When I relocated to Denver 5 years ago, I was extremely nervous about finding a new dentist. I have very sensitive teeth, and undergoing something as simple as a dental cleaning is painful. After some research, I discovered that both Dr. Stratil and Dr. Wright had pursued additional residencies, and were committed to supporting and understanding their patient's needs. As a patient, I have found this to be true, not only of the doctors, but also of the hygienists and office staff. Sadly, I am moving away from the Denver area, and will no longer be able to utilize The Dentists on Pearl. But - to anyone with anxiety related to visiting the dentist - I recommend Dr. Stratil and Dr. Wright wholeheartedly! read more

I've been going to this dental office since they opened and I have never been disappointed. They are very thorough but never suggest anything unnecessary and I've always felt like their hearts and minds are in the right place. The dentists and technicians are really personable and clearly take good notes because every time I visit they pick up conversations right where we left off. They even listen when I talk about some dental issue I read about or share my self-diagnosis theory. Hygienists detailed and thorough. Had no issues until I needed work done by the dentist. Had bonding replacement on two front teeth. Fell off three times. Went to another dentist and bonding has been fine since it was put on six months ago. I also had a crown in the back by the other dentist in the office. It is half the length of the natural teeth. While it does not matter cosmetically. The nature of my bit needs to have my back teeth to hit first.Functionally the length matters. ( had orthodontic work done so that would be the case) Cannot recommended either dentist. read more

The care I received was fine. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I am giving three out of five stars because there was no upfront discussion in terms of additional services not covered by my insurance. I received a bill for over $100 and when I called to ask what the charges were for, I was told vaguely they were services not covered by my insurance. Of course , I figured that. When I asked for an accounting of the exact procedures, I was simply told I had a "deep cleaning." There was no menu of services offered or explanation of the range of cleaning services. Again, the care I received was fine. I hope in the future they learned that providing information upfront is always better, especially in the service industry! read more

I've been scouring yelp for a new dentist and I finally found a really great office that accepts my insurance (delta dental). They were able to get me in one day after I called so that was super convenient. Since I was a new patient I had to stay for two hours (you can break it up) for x-rays, consultation with the dentist and then finally the cleaning. First, the office is nestled right on south pearl street. Its very bright and modern. Dr. Stratil is super warm and nice. I can't remember the girls name who gave me my x-rays but it was a really painless and quick process. Kylie cleaned my teeth and they have never felt cleaner or whiter. She was able to schedule my next cleaning and send me home with some swag, yippee! During my chat with Dr. Stratil we talked about some additional dental work and after my appointment, Elizabeth at the front desk had already contacted my insurance and had paperwork ready for me to go. This was probably my favorite thing about the office, they're really prepared and are ten steps ahead. read more

I am fairly new to Denver and visited this office for the first time due to all the good reviews on yelp. I really liked the office, it was very modern and clean. The dentist was extremely nice and my appointment went rather quickly, which always makes me happy when I am seeing the dentist. I tend to be a little fearful of dentists in general and the staff made me feel right at ease. My only complaint, and it is a very minor one, would be that they didn't have anything but standard dental floss available during the dental cleaning. Because my teeth are very close together they shred anything other than the glide or the satin tape. Every other office I have been to has options for floss (and usually the free bees they send you home with). read more

Dentists on Pearl makes you do surgery you don't need, then charges you later. I came in for a basic cleaning. They then said that I had a wisdom tooth that needed to be pulled. I had no pain and didn't really want the procedure done, yet they said insurance would cover it. Fast-forward six months. They said I owed them 105$ dollars because insurance WOULDNT cover the claim. I had to pay them 105$ dollars for surgery I didn't want that they promised I wouldn't pay. read more

The snarky lady on the phone acted like I was crazy for requesting an urgent appointment, and they are scheduling out after July 4th. I was having a ton of jaw pain from clenching at night and could not get my regular dentist to even answer my call. I called the Dentists and they got me in 2 days later! I was scanned for a night guard (super cool high tech scanning machine instead of the nasty molds) and had it in hand 2 weeks later. They are very informed on everything they do and continually work with you to make sure you understand what they are doing and what you can do better to help your teeth. They also work their hardest to keep you informed on prices and their work with the insurance companies. This practice is absolutely amazing!! The staff are so friendly and most importantly educated and experts in their fields-from the front desk staff to the Dentists themselves. I went to this office for a second opinion and they were able to save me over 600 dollars in unnessesary dental work. They were able to get me in quickly for the second opinion and were also able to provide services I did need on the same day (i'm pretty sure they worked during their lunch break to take care of me).
