had never heard of Smashed and Sauced until I ventured into a store next door. Apparently, this restaurant is new to Cedar Park. Smashed N Sauced, a smashed burger joint, is located on Highway 620. I ordered the smash burger and fries. The smashed burger patties were thin and flavorful. The French fries are crunchy on the exterior and soft inside. The smashed burger was a flavor explosion in your mouth. I actually prefer French Fries that are not so crispy on the outside, however, they grew on me. The bun was super soft and buttery... toasted on the inside. The smashed burger was the bomb diggity. The sauce was very tangy and a little sweet...quite unique. Let's talk about the building. You are immediately captivated by the fire red and orange color on the front of the building. The color eruption continues into the inside. My girlfriend wanted to go out to eat elsewhere but I wanted to try this place out so we went. We both ordered our food and took a seat then our food was ready after a few minutes. Alex told me that one of our orders was messed up and that he'd gladly gives us another plate. At first I didn't think much of it and I didn't mind because the food was great and we were hungry. But after a few more minutes Alex and Jose come over and give us two more plates!!!! And a red velvet cake!!!! For our first time there they surely made a good impression and took care of us. I loved the food but I loved the customer service far more. Jose and Alex apologized for the misunderstanding and were so polite. Great, great, great customer service. The manager running the cash register gave my wife a free fountain drink on the house when he saw her managing our infant. The food was very delicious. I went with a group of 6 guys, and the one of us that picked it is a known burger guy. I had the smash burger, and I gotta say as smash burgers go, they pretty much nail it in terms of purity. Perfect level of onions, and the sauce did not overwhelm. The fries were just fine and well-executed, fluffy and hot, but not exceptional. The burger guy in fact ordered wings, and it's worth noting that one wing contains both the flat and the drum, and so if you order 6, you're getting a healthy order. First off, after doing my research this restaurant uses 100% Halal-certified beef for its smash burgers and Halal-certified chicken for its Nashville hot chicken and tenders. Their smash burgers are fresh and never frozen. My wife and I were supposed to go on a double another couple but unfortunately they had a family emergency and they didn't make it out with us tonight. So what did I do like good homie that's there, I sent my homie the glorious photos of this amazing Halal food! If you never had Halal food, you're definitely missing out on some delicious food. Their fries are way better than any other fries out there. The oil they are using makes the fries taste so fresh compared to their competition. Ambiance of the place is unique and gives it thay amazing look and feel with the red and black coloring. I chose to order a six piece lemon pepper and loaded beef dog. My lemon pepper wings were amazing with their unique wet sauce. These lemon pepper wings were unique ut definitely had the lemon pepper flavor that gave these wings the best my taste buds were craving for. My loaded dog was like a like a spicy beef frank, not too spicy but just right amount of spice. My wife chose the their three piece tenders with peach flavor habanero sauce. I talked with the owner today and he said they have only been open barely for two months. I was amazed, because this place was so busy that it seemed it had been open for a while. Service was pleasant, food was fresh and made to order. I got smash burger single combo with cheese & sauce on the side added on beef bacon (which I've never had before). My daughter ordered the same and added jalapenos. The fries were crispy and fresh but the burger wasn't too impressive. A little seasoning salt can go a looooong way. I also felt the fries were a little under seasoned but I was ok with bc I added salt. I also tried to add salt and pepper twice to my burger but it still seemed to lack flavor. Granted I didn't have the sauce added to my burger and I swapped it for ranch. Even so, a good burger patty that's well seasoned doesn't need sauce to make it a hit. That's easily fixable as long as they're willing to listen to feedback. Also, I would love it if they offered regular bacon that would've enhanced the flavor profile as well. It was very salty which was very disappointing, so 3 Stars for no warning. The only sauce that says (dry or wet) is the Nashville Hot, none of the other ones indicate what type they are. First of I would like to mention that the brothers who own this spot own the spot next door and are absolutely the greatest guys. Huge smiles, genuinely care and put out amazing food. Now the food - unreal. This absolutely demolishes the competitors in Austin .. all of Austin. T22, Hatti B's, all of them. It's like not even remotely close. The portions are massive, the sauces are unreal (get the Nashville wet). I am not trying to write a novel but honestly I can't speak highly enough about this place. We needed this. The quality of the chicken is really nice. It's like actually juicy and doesn't have that weird fake chicken texture and flavor. Oh - get the ice cream too. The best part - everything. Get EXTRA RANCH and smoother everything. Great family spot. Searching high and lo for a smash burger spot where I'm from and couldn't find one. Lucky to find this place thanks to my wife and Google. I must say it was a great burger to go along with some great fries. They give you some type of fry sauce(which is also on the burger) that is also superb. Everything is cooked to order. Hospitality was top notch. It is a very popular place as word of mouth must be getting out. Only word of advice is, if you plan on dining in, it's hit or miss. The establishment is pretty small and you will have to wait for someone else to leave(there was a group of four that were done eating when i got there and were still hogging the booth when we left).
