Food is edible.....if you can get it. Could not get two salads at the same time when it was not even busy. My wife received her salad within a reasonable amount of time...I did not get mine. Assuming that it was lagging a bit behind because I ordered mine with grilled chicken, my wife was almost done with hers when the clueless server showed up with my salad and a burger I did not order. *I should have went to 5 Guys* ... was all I could think of each time I turned my attention back to my food. I wanted to give this place a try. I enjoy a good burger and accompanying items and Smashburger's claims piqued my interest. The location was tough to find, given that they did not have any sign space on the main marquee. I found it by accident as I had abandoned my search and decided to go to Moe's. The restaurant was clean, the staff very friendly and helpful, and the speed that my food was delivered almost too quick. I ordered the bacon burger and thought I would try the fries as well. I also had the option to get a slightly larger burger and totally went for it. My food came out so quickly that I had barely even taken off my coat and filled my drink up. Anyways, on to the food. The fries were just a complete disappointment. Greasy, thin, and just not even on par with even reasonable supermarket frozen food. Don't bother with the default $2 shoestring fries. My first bite of the burger was also uninspiring. I want so much to believe that it really is a quality hunk of meat smashed down and seasoned as stated on much of their literature but it was just over cooked and as flat as what you find on a McD's or BK burger. I was impressed with the bun, but that is not enough to help out the burger. The presentation was nice. The bun had onion and pickles arranged on the top when it came out. Overall, I was just pretty unsatisfied and underwhelmed. I traveled about 10 miles from my client's office when I could have almost walked to the 5 Guys. I've been to 5 Guys more times than I can even remember and I have not had a single disappointing meal at any of their locations. I would have given it but I didn't like the prices for the burger my husband had and what I would say similar to a carnival/ fair burger I'm not saying it was bad, because it was tasty, but for the price I just expected it to be a little thicker and to fit on the bun. I had a cucumber and goat cheese salad with Spinach, goat cheese, raisins, dried cranberries, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, cucumbers, tomatoes & onions with balsamic vinaigrette. I liked everything about it other than the dried cranberries and raisins in it. I don't think it would have been that bad, but for that sweet balsamic vinaigrette I wish the dressing was more savory to compliment the sweetness. It said it came with tomatoes, but there wasn't any it it and I wasn't going to say anything because my husbands and friends burgers came out before my salad and I didn't want to wait for them to bring me some because they were almost done with their food so I wanted to just hurry and eat. I also ordered a peanut butter milk shake and I was so excited because I don't get to eat sweets, but once a month so I was looking forward for it and when I got it, it was just like melted ice cream. I know it sounds like I wouldn't be giving it a 4 stars, but the workers were very friendly and upbeat and the restaurant was super clean and picked up and the food my husband had and our friend had they said we're delicious so I guess that's what I would expect ordering a salad from a burger place. I've had Smashburger quite a few times and the food is good. I never had something I didn't like. I come in with my friend jonesing a good burger and I think I'm going to get a shake. The lady who took our order was less then pleasant to say the least. Proceeded to tell me they aren't making milkshakes today. We asked why, she mumbled something about a broken part. Then as we were seated, my friend noticed another employee making a milkshake for someone else. I noticed someone sitting down that has been here earlier with a milkshake. So now I am thoroughly confused. Is it or is it not broken? Wow, another person left here with just a milkshake. I don't get why she would lie to me. Fine, I'll just drive two seconds down the road and give my money to Cold Stone then. Also, the wait time is pretty ridiculous. Smashburger just opened so had to try it out. Great selection on the menu but kept it simple with a Classic Smashburger to compare with other local burger joints. Not too bad. Service is quick and friendly. However, the menu is very exact. If it doesn't list lettuce and ton at under the burger you order then it is not on there. I am sure you could request them too add stuff to your sandwich they would, but at almost $8.00 for just the sandwich it should come loaded. Went here yesterday with a couple of friends after an afternoon of shopping at the mall. I had never been, but we only went because we had $2 off coupons (from the casino). I got the buffalo chicken sandwich with french fries. Without the coupon it would've been almost $10! - thankfully I had that. The food was good, there was no denying that. The chicken sandwich tasted like it was good quality, and I really liked the fries. They were small, but they weren't greasy at all and there was a lot of them (I got the smaller size of fries, too). The chicken sandwich was also pretty big. The meal was enough to fill me up for both lunch and dinner. I liked the meal, but since it's still technically fast food, I didn't think that the prices matched that. I could've easily paid almost $15 if I didn't have the coupon, and I got a drink - a little too expensive for me for a fast food joint. Overall, we all still really liked our food. Great burger joint! I tend to base new restaurants by how they handle themsevles on busy nights (Friday and Saturdays) so to my surprise they did an amazing job! The food was hot and out within 12 minutes, the service was polite and friendly even though it was a mad house at 6:30 on a Saturday. The prices were reasonable, i ordered two burgers, one was a speciality burger and the other was a reg cheese burger, both a good size! large smash fries, which could have served 3 people verses two there were so many! And two drinks (not fountains drinks) and the total bill came up to 18.00. Definitely worth checking out! read more

What I felt was a very simple order. A big burger with swiss, onions and smash sauce and tots. What I got was a burnt burger that was flavored with the grill scraps and cooked so that any resemblance of moisture was removed. On top of the burger might have been cheese and a few onion pieces but I'm not sure because it was smothered in ketchup and mustard. I gave it two small bites and could not go any further. If I could have taken the grease from the tots and somehow put it into the burger then I might have salvaged lunch. Dropped a $50 bill on a family of four and walked out knowing I would never again stop at a Smash burger. My advice is to avoid this place and save yourself the money. The shakes are not really thick, the American cheese tastes like cheese-whiz. Worst of all, the smashfries are as thick as matchsticks. So even if they are served to you piping-hot, they are stone-cold in five minutes. All of that could be fixed easily enough. But all of the above is probably mandated by corporate. My boyfriend and I went for a late dinner tonight and they were out it wouldn't make certain things. We both wanted a milkshake and one of the guys, not sure if it was a manager or not, said he could make us milk and ice cream but we said no cause really?? Then my boyfriend wanted a burger with bacon and they said they were out of bacon so he had to choose something else. We both got the buffalo and blue which had very little buffalo or blue. While we were sitting there eating the girl closed her register even though they were still supposed to be open for another half hour so we finished up and left. I understand that we went pretty late but they should have all ingredients in stock from open to close or order more. read more

Walked in a little after the dinner rush on my meal break, my first time ever coming to this chain and I was excited about trying their smashfries and the guacamole burger but I never even got to that point, I waited for 25 minutes and nothing had came, I saw two couples order to go orders after me and received their meals in that span. Refilled my drink three times, used the restroom in hope that my food would be waiting for me at my table but no, absolutely nothing, never even received an explanation so at the 32nd minute mark(already over my timed break) I decided to approach the counter and nicely ask for my refund. I have no idea what took so long they literally have 8 people back there in the kitchen yet I get quicker service at a dine in restaurant. I still would love to try this place but definitely not at this location, nothing makes me angrier than coming back to work without food in my belly. I wish I could give a half star. read more

We came here for the first time today and we were pleasantly surprised by the customer service we received at this store. Our cashier, Shaneisha (I apologize if I spelled it incorrectly because we misplaced our receipt with her name on it) was exceptional. All too often customers are quick to submit a complaint and yelp bad service, but we often times forget to take the time to write a compliment for good service received. The latter, I believe is more important! ;) Shaneisha was so friendly, helped us through the menu as first time guests, and made our ordering experience fun. She told us what she likes to eat and how much she enjoys food, which made us laugh. When we were done eating, we tried to bus our own table and she immediately found us and said, "No no no ... you're only responsible for eating your meal and enjoying it here" - or something similar to state that we only are here to eat and enjoy and not to worry about picking up after ourselves. Her smile and energy made it a great experience. We would come back not just for the food, but to experience her dynamic personality. Great job! read more

Don't really understand why when you call ahead and order if you haven't prepaid you still have to wait in the line. To make matters worse they only had one register going and there ended up being a problem, I stood there for 10 minutes watching my food go cold.
