First time in a long time at Smashburger, there was a line and food was ready quickly. We ordered a couple different things to try: double bacon smash, double truffle mushroom Swiss, double smashed chicken, smash fries, smash tots, and sweet potato waffle fries. The burgers are pretty big, though the meat itself doesn't have much flavor, just needs some salt or something on it. The double bacon smash and double truffle mushroom Swiss was good. The chicken one wasn't that good, mainly cause it's a smashed chicken patty. It probably would have been better if it was a breaded one. The smash fries were okay, I definitely prefer their smash tots or the sweet potato waffle fries. We also got a lemonade -nothing special, and their strawberry shake, nothing special either. This was our first experience at any Smashburger. We both got the single regular cheeseburgers, and both enjoyed them. Ingredients were fresh and everything was prepared as requested. My husband got fries and I got the sweet potato waffle fries. I clearly ordered regular sized of both, but I was charged for and received the large order, which is way too much food so it was wasted. I was super excited to finally try Smashburger! I met a friend at Ilani to play slots and grab a burger. The girl at the counter was super friendly. She talked A LOT... before ordering, during ordering, and after ordering. Oh my gosh! People were waiting to order behind me, and I finally just had to walk away while she was still talking just to keep the line moving. It was a bit awkward. Our food came out timely; maybe 5 minutes or so. I ordered the bacon double cheese, tator tots, and soda. I read online you can add fries and a soda to any burger for $4.50, but that must have been old information because when I looked at my receipt, I was charged $3.25 for each, making it $6.50 in addition to the burger. My lunch was about $20, which seems steep. I also found out Ilani offers free soda on the gambling floor now. I haven't been to this casino in a while, so I was unaware until I walked by the soda machine. The tots were really yummy! Love the olive oil, rosemary, and garlic. The burger was good, but not the best smashburger-style patty I've eaten. These seemed SUPER greasy! It was dripping with grease while trying to eat it. It's not my favorite burger. I love a messy burger, but dripping with condiments, not grease. Overall, I'm glad I was finally able to try Smashburger, but I doubt I will be returning. Ha, okay, I just kind of have to laugh at this. I asked my wife to pick up a Double Smash Classic burger and an order of Smash Tots, and that's what she ordered at the counter. The receipt listed a double patty Crispy Chicken and a Smash Tots, so they listed the burger wrong. When she brought it to me, it was a double patty Crispy Chicken but a regular order of fries. So not only was the order entered wrong, the wrong order wasn't even given right. It was a pretty good chicken sandwich and fries. Zero complaints about the flavor. This was my first time trying Smashburger and I have mixed feelings. I was so impressed with the taste and quality of my burger. It was juicy and perfectly charred around the edges. There was also no shortage of seating, as this location is inside of the casino food court. However, the fries were a bit too soft and lacked seasoning, and the wait was 25 minutes just to have our order taken. All in all, the burger was so good that it was worth the wait. Smashburger is something I've wanted to try for a while. Visiting a casino is something I never planned on doing, except MAYBE my bachelor party if I can ever find a woman. Both of those things happened tonight at Ilani. Assuming that EVERY Smashburger is on the level...I'd say it's the best fast food/pseudo fast food burger to get. (Yes, I'm saying I liked it more than Five Guys.) Their burger patty was CERTAINLY made to order, extremely fresh, and SEASONED SO WELL! I was blown away at the attention to detail. Along with the extremely fresh ingredients, this was top-notch. Now the service on the other hand, fast and friendly shockingly. I expected little from that, or anything about it or the casino in general, and was dumbfounded at how efficient the service was. Easy to place our order, fast at making it for us. I'll even forgive them for only giving us 1/2 Smashtots that we ordered. (My Dad got his, so I unfortunately can't speak on their quality. But he liked them.) Maybe my favorite aspect is the atmosphere? It always had this slightly retro/slightly modern logo, but their menu photos indicated a real location may have some good vibes. I can't recommend Smashburger enough. Even if the real locations were the same price as this casino location. (Single Bacon Smashburger was $9.50.) Counter help was very friendly and helpful, especially considering we both didn't have our glasses on to read the menu board! Service was quick and food was hot. Burgers, we ordered the "Classic", we're just right. Not too salty but very flavorful... Just a great hamburger taste! Buns were toasted and crisp! Burger was juicy but not soggy. Fries! I ordered the classic smash burger and the smash fries. It was about $11 for this. When I received the order after about 10 minutes I was surprised to find a cold bun with a lukewarm burger on it. The bun was flavorless, the meat was flavorless and I was hoping that the fries were going to be wonderful. Nope, the fries were apparently frozen and not fresh. grew up going to smashburger in norcal and was excited to see this location was so close to where i live now. the food was good, fries were soggy but the flavors were there. sadly i really wasn't a fan of the location overall. the casino is so loud and chaotic, one employee was rude to me because i couldn't hear her. menu was limited. the ordering process felt very rushed. spent almost $50 on 2 burgers, 2 fries and a shake (inc tip + tax). all things considered, the experience wasn't worth the trouble. really wish they'd open a stand alone location. read more

I'm not sure how I heard of Smashburger. Perhaps it's just the similar letters of many other places (shake shack, whataburger, etc). I had me some momentum bucks so I'll over pay for a burger. I got the truffle mushroom burger. I've never really liked mayo. I guess if it's infused with truffle I hate it less. There was just way too much. Truffle is actually a pretty strong flavor so there doesn't need to be an excessive amount of mayo to accomplish the truffle effect. The burger was cooked and seasoned decently. I might have had a more favorable opinion if there wasn't so much freaking mayo. I got the smash fries. If you compare them to a similar fries from a Tiny large burger place. They are greasy and heavy in not a good way. Tasty but not up to standard. Not a bad way to spend momentum bucks but I wouldn't spend real bucks. read more

I watched your kitchen go completely dormant for a ten full minutes while your cashier took an order for two milkshakes and then proceeded to take ten minutes to take them. Ten minutes with a queue of at least a dozen people behind us, of which no fewer than half ultimately left as the minutes ticked away. Your absenteeism in this regard is galling. The burger options include a beef patty, a grilled chicken breast, or a black bean veggie burger. They also offer three French fry options: original fries (plain, salted), sweet potato fries, and smashburger fries (rosemary and sea salt). They have strawberry, vanilla, chocolate, and Oreo milkshakes. Toppings for your burgers range from sautéed mushrooms, Swiss cheese, and truffle aioli to fried jalapeños, bacon, and cheddar. You can add a fried egg to any burger for about a dollar, too. I'm personally thrilled to have this place nearby. We stopped in here before a concert for a bit of dinner. It was one of the only places we could afford at ilani. You get what you pay for and the service was not impressive. it was ok, not great but ok. Very lackluster as far as a burger goes. The fries were plentiful but we couldn't eat them all. Not because of the quantity but because the quality was just meh. Lines were long because like I say, the other options at the casino are a LOT more money.
