My friend and I are big In N Out fans. They are known for their friendly, efficient service, clean restaurant, fresh tasty burgers with fresh meat, buns and veggies, and hot crispy fries. Normally everything is sublime, and worthy of all the hype! I am not sure what happened at this location. The service is still top -notch, but the food seemed cold and stale. My friend and I drove 2.5 hours each way and made a day of it, doing some touristy stuff along the way. I usually get regular fries but this time tried them animal style. The cheese sauce was congealed and the fries were cold and chewy. I thought that maybe the cold items added to make the animal fries may have cooled them down so I kept eating, thinking to myself that I would never have them animal style again. I just went ahead and ate (about half of ) them. My friend got the regular fries, however, and he said they were strangely cold and chewy as well. The buns are grilled which really makes for a tasty burger. But this time they were ALSO cold and chewy. The veggies seemed fresh, but the meat was cold and chewy as well. It also seemed oversauced so it was way sloppier than normal. I picked my order up within 15 seconds of being called up so it hadn't been sitting for a while. My best guess, after working fast food in the past, is that they are frying a bunch of patties and a bunch of buns ahead of time and putting them together for each order, instead of cooking them fresh for every order. I realize this place is super busy, and that this may make be a way to make the lines go down faster, but the quality is just not there. I probably should have gone back up and asked for fresh food but didn't want to be a jerk. If I ever go back to this location I will check the order right when I pick it up, and I'd recommend others do the same. I hope they can get it together! read more

Went in on a hot day yesterday and did not have to wait in line in the restaurant more than 2 mins. I got to park pretty close too. I ordered the animal style double double cheeseburger with fries and a drink all for a whopping $11.00. It took a few mins for me to get my order. When I got it I noticed my fries were kind of cold. Probably because of the heat outside and they had the AC way down low. I asked for another order that was hot and they gave me another order of fries. Overall is was my first time at this in and out location. I enjoyed my cheeseburger. It was really good. The fries were kind of tasteless and could have used some salt. Other than that. This place is legit. The food is fresh and delicious. The service there is amazing as well. I look forward to going back again. read more

I was fortunate to see a spot open up in the lot when I arrived as there were any others available. Loads of folks driving in circles hoping to get as lucky as me. The line inside was long, but the staff handled everyone quickly. When I ordered they were calling #5. I was order #54. Gulp. Finding a spot to sit was the next challenge and I happened to spy an open stool seat and grabbed it. Others waited long enough that they decided to eat in the car. My food out just under 10 minutes. The burger was excellent, as were the fresh fries. Perfectly salted and a quick dip in catsup to seal the deal. Yum. I had pondered a second burger but didn't want to take up table space while waiting for another 10 minutes. This was a long awaited three hour road trip for The Homie from Shoreline to Ridgefield, WA (6/11/26). We missed out while in San Diego six years ago. After a brief detour in Fife, we continued on the uneventful southbound drive. The exit to Ridgefield definitely had new development. The In-N-Out Burger had large signage by its building & drive-through. Note that this site is not noted on the Food sign on I-5. Found a parking slot and ventured in. Crowded outdoor & indoor dining areas. Crowded with folks awaiting their respective orders. Crowded with folks queueing up for beverages. The counter folks were well staffed to take orders. Best to buy branded merch online. Ordered a double double combo with fries & 7up soda. The Homie had a double double minus lettuce & tomato, animal style fries, and a milkshake shake. I thought the burger was fine. I didn't like the fries though, but The Homie was happy to inhale them with rest of his meal. Would I make this long drive again for In-N-Out (closest WA site vs Grants Pass or Keizur OR sites)? I've been to other In-N-Out Burgers in California in the past. But I must say, this is truly the first time I enjoyed it. We went this Sunday and the place was packed! The drive in had a long line of cars. The inside was filled with people sitting on small tables, people standing waiting for their orders. The line to order was pretty fast, with maybe 6 cashiers. We found a table and maybe we got our number called after 25 minutes. We each had a double cheeseburger and Animal Fries. The fries were better with melted cheese and caramelized onions. The burgers were compact, but still moist. Now I remember why it's so good. For a chaotic scene, we enjoyed our little meal. There were lots of seatings outside, as well. read more

First visit to an In-n-out Burger in WA state. We had this burger in CA and Nevada years ago. We ordered a double double , animal fries, regular fries and pink lemonade. We enjoyed every bite of this burger and every fries we ate. We really enjoyed them so much. We can't even recall how good it was until today. Ordering the burger was quick. The place was filled with people - whether drive thru or not. We waited 30 minutes before we got our order. It wasn't really chaotic, it's organized. A single line to order but several people to serve you. Then the real waiting game starts. It's not difficult to get a seat while you wait for your number to be called. Even the bathroom has a wait. However, if you are in a rush and don't want to wait then it's not worth it because during the time we were there we had 2 cars back to back waiting with 5 kids all together. The best thing about In-N-Out is that it tastes the same everywhere. I'm so excited to have a location in WA finally! This one is conveniently located right off Highway 5, next to a Costco. There was a long line for drive-thru on a Friday evening, so I opted to park and walk-in. There was no line for ordering. My order number was 72, and they were calling 32 after I ordered. It took about 35 minutes to get the food. The inside felt crowded because so many people waiting for their food. My go-to order: animal-style double double with animal-style fries. Tip: you can ask them to cut the burger in half or even in quarter to make it easier to eat for kids (and while driving). You can also ask for animal sauce on the size. "The In-and-Out Capital of Washington." Of course, it's also currently the only In-and-Out Burger in Washington State. But that's a significant milestone since the founders of the famous California-based burger chain first met at Fort Lawton, Wash. While I'm not typically a fast-food frequent-flyer, I admit I was excited to try this location. We arrived at noon and a lot attendant informed us the drive-thru would be an hour or we could cut our wait in half by going inside. We opted to park and walk in. Despite a line out the door, we placed our order in just seven minutes. We were order number 98 and quickly the order calls restarted at 1. After 20 minutes of waiting, I approached the counter to inquire since the orders being called were now no longer in the 90s. A kind worker determined our order had somehow been overlooked. At first we thought order 99 took order 98 by mistake but later order 99 came for their meal so we were told the staff had no idea where our meal wound up. They quickly remade our order but missed a second boat of fries and fry sauce so I needed to return to the counter for a correction. Even with the mishaps, our total wait time was 37 minutes. That's pretty darn good for a lunch hour rush on a Saturday. It was an unfortunate experience and a bit of a head scratcher how a simple order in a well oiled machine like In-and-Out could get lost. I didn't know what to expect when I stopped by but I had heard a lot of hype about this place. I was forewarned about long queues and lineups from their grand opening but fast forward to a few weeks later and while it's calmed down with the excitement, it still looks like it's a fan favourite. First, I want to acknowledge something that I rarely see at any food service location which is that the staff looked genuinely happy to be there. The communication was amazing from cooks, to cleanup, to cashiers. Everyone was laughing, smiling and looked like they were just having a great time while making fast, affordable, and delicious meals for all their gusts. The menu is exceptionally simple (but I've heard they offer lots of customizations upon requests) which makes ordering quick and efficient... did I mention the prices? WOW, talk about value. Everything looks like it's made fresh on site including the fries which are very different than most quick service locations as they're made with Kennebec Potatoes. I also want to commend this location on their cleanliness. Despite the crazy amount of guests and turnover, as soon as someone left, the tables were wiped down and floors around there cleaned. All that said I was happy to see Washington's first In-N-Out Burger in Ridgefield with a second being built on east Mill Plain in Vancouver. The last time I had in N out was in LA and it was sadly disappointing. I drove 2 hours from Seattle with some friends and this location met my expectations!
