The ends were dry and super thirsty. I had been growing my hair out for a while and when you're growing out old hair color this can happen no matter how well you take care of your hair. No matter what product I used my ends were just so unhappy. I saw a post on IG that Rachel had an opening the next day (follow them on IG! It's the best way to see last minute openings!!) so I messaged and grabbed a spot. PURE PANIC SET IN YALL!! Lol. I had been growing my hair out for so long and now I was thinking of cutting off a good amount. It was like watching a scary movie where you're not sure you want to keep sitting there but at the same time you're super excited to be sitting there. Lol. I went through hours of the "should I cancel?" fear. After telling myself over and over it was a good thing I went for my appointment. Once again Rachel's smiling face (it was behind a mask but with some people you can just see the smile radiating) greeted me. I told her my plan and showed her a photo. She was instantly excited and said my idea was going to be gorgeous so I felt so confident pushing forward. After she was done there was so much dead hair on the floor I questioned whether or not it needed a eulogy before being swept away. I looked in the mirror and felt beautiful and so positive about what we just did and part of that was because Rachel was really excited about how it turned out. Ladies (and gentlemen) if you can find a stylist who makes you feel absolutely beautiful even when you aren't too sure about yourself....THAT is an amazing stylist. Rachel's positivity for life in general is infectious and her confidence in doing her job well is stellar. I've also sent my husband to see her after he had a not so great first haircut experience here. His hair turned out amazing as well and he was so happy with the result. Rachel is just an overall good egg so if you are looking for a new stylist or just want to support a local newbie then she is your girl! Thanks again Rachel for making me feel like I can take on the world even if it is with a little less hair! Lol.

They wasted my time, PTO, and money (paid for 4hrs of parking) just to turn around and leave. This issue falls on the booking coordinator to properly understand and clarify a customer's needs before scheduling an appointment. During the booking process, I clearly stated that I wanted color services to help blend and conceal my gray hair, along with highlights and lowlights. I also explained that I had reference photos because I wasn't certain of the correct terminology. Having grown up around the salon industry, I understand that it is the booking coordinator's responsibility to ask clarifying questions rather than make assumptions about the services being requested. Instead of taking accountability for the miscommunication, the response I received was dismissive and unprofessional. The lack of customer service, accountability, and willingness to acknowledge the mistake has left me with little confidence in this business. As a result, I will not be returning or recommending this salon.

Miss Shawna is the absolute best hair dresser. I let her take the wheel and drive. See before and after photos. From long to short with dramatic color. I would definitely recommend her to anyone. Pretty bad experience there today…read more First, when I walk in, there is one girl working (obese redhead with blonde highlights)... and what is she working on? Her Avon business, she is meeting with some avon people. I bet you her boss doesn't know that she is conducting a side business on company time, but that is her boss's fault for allowing her to work unsupervised. So I wait for them to finish up. My haircut is pretty simple, 2 on the sides, inch long on top, I'm a guy, simple. I've never had someone not realize what it is when I say that before. She did the bottom of the sides in a two then cut the top (I should also say, she tried to get me to go with clippers on top instead of scissors which we all know is a lazy move). And she wanted to be done, and I pointed out that it needs to be the whole sides a two, something I've never had to explain before. When I mean the sides, I mean the sides, not the bottom inch and a half of the sides. So she does that, and it looks okay from the front. But just now at home looking in the mirror I see a line and I realize she forgot to go back and blend, and then I also realized (belatedly) I was not offered a hand mirror to see the sides or back for approval, who forgets that? I don't have a hand mirror here at the house (again, guy), for all I know she carved a swoosh back there.The second time she "finished" she didn't even ask if I liked it, she just started taking the gown off. One of the laziest haircuts I've had, I generally like to support Red Bank businesses, and I use three other businesses in this strip mall by the Food City, but I think I'll avoid this place from here on out.

I have only ever gotten a regular polish manicure but they always do a nice job and it usually will stay looking nice for up to a week. The staff is very accommodating to what you are looking for and searched for a matte top coat for me. The atmosphere is calming and there is nice natural lighting in the space. I always enjoy coming to The Nail Bar and hope to return more often! I would say the pricing for their services are pretty average for a nail salon and are worth it overall.

She said okay and did not mention any extra charges. After everything was done, they charge me $45 for a blow out + 47$ for hairstyle. It was a surprise charge of $92. What is the point of charging for a blowout if I am getting tongs and braids in my hair? On their website, blowout is quoted as $21 as an add-on. Which she should have charged . Why would a hairdresser do a blowout, When that makes the hair all silky, and the tong curls wont stay. The curls were gone even before I left the hair Salon and she had to do it again, and they were again gone within 10 minutes. I spoke to manager about the experience, and she was condescending saying "i dont know where you get your hair done from" When I told her, you can't charge for blowdry and updo both together. . I went to get ready for a family wedding, and everyone told me that I look like I have a $92 nest on my head. The braid was even lopsided and embarrassing. She and her husband are the owners and both were in providing exceptional service. I could tell that the other customers were regulars and they spoke highly of the salon.
