I was given 24 hour access with no questions which really helps for the odd hours I work and travel. The folks here are very friendly and always helpful. In particular Ashley was extremely courteous and helpful today in getting my lock changed on my unit. The site is very secure, clean and well kept - these guys run a tight ship. Highly recommended for all your self-storage needs.

Warning to Anyone Considering Snapbox Zephyrhills - Read Before You Rent…read moreI strongly advise anyone considering Snapbox Zephyrhills to avoid this facility. My experience has been nothing but stressful, unsafe, and costly, and I want to warn others before they go through the same situation. My storage unit was robbed, and despite filing a claim with their insurance partner, ClaimsPro, my claim was denied because "there was no visible forced entry." This makes absolutely no sense, considering the access code and lock were provided by the facility--so anyone with internal access could enter without leaving damage. Yet they refuse to acknowledge that possibility. After the theft, I discovered alarming issues that the Zephyrhills Chamber of Commerce confirmed they have received multiple complaints about, including: Customers being charged more than the agreed monthly rate The main entrance door often left unlocked, leaving the entire facility wide open No staff on site to assist customers or address safety concerns These are serious security failures for a place responsible for protecting people's belongings. I personally reported issues with accessing my unit back on August 30, 2025, and the company even issued me a credit because they acknowledged the problem. Yet when my belongings went missing, they took no responsibility. I removed all my belongings on November 15, 2025, and I will never use this facility again. I am also disputing the charges they continued to take from my account after the theft.

I rented a unit before driving across country to pick up a load and bring back. When I got there they had not replaced the broken latch, had a lock on it that the code they gave me didn't work on, and there is no human being by phone or internet to speak with. So I rented one at a better place. $$$ down the drain. Never even entered the unit. These people are thieves. Now they are saying I owe more money a month later.

Amanda set it up in less than 10 minutes. They had great introductory promo pricing. They replaced the door on one of our units which somewhat alarmed us. They sent an email, but my husband isn't great about checking his email. So, when we went in, the unit had been accessed and we hadn't known. Also, the drainage in the alleys was a little awkward to maneuver around with a 26' moving van, but everything remained secure and dry. These were clearly all decisions on the corporate level. Amanda, who runs this particular location, was always friendly and helpful. SmartStop is lucky to have her!

Yesterday, my access code did not work. My code was not necessary to get in the gate because, as I was told by the woman in the front office, the gate was always left open because it was broken but I needed the code to get into the building that housed my units. I was given another code and that one did not work either, so I was then was given a default code and finally got in the building. Then my keys did not work. The woman at the gate had told me I could ask man who was working nearby to my units for help if the default code did not work, so I asked him for help with the keys. He explained he had previously managed another storage facility and was familiar with the problems people had with those locks, He graciously offered to come help to see if he could get my locks open. He tried the locks repeatedly and told me that the keys I had did not work on the locks on my units and explained that if I didn't have working keys, I'd have to have to call a locksmith. I thanked him and continued jiggling the keys in the locks because I knew they were to correct keys and, after a few minutes, I got one lock open. I opened the door and there was someone else's stuff in my unit. So now, one unit had someone else's stuff and the other I could not get open, so I called the front desk and was told they would do absolutely nothing but lend me a can of WD40. They wouldn't come down and look the other person's stuff or even recommend a local locksmith. I asked them how I should go about handling the situation and they told me they would not tell me anything or help me in any way, besides the can of WD40 of course. I asked if I should call the police and she sarcastically told me "Yes, should call the police". So I called the police who explained the other person's stuff in my unit was a civil matter but that, once I got the other unit open, if my stuff was missing I should call him back and he'd send an officer down for a larceny. The locksmith came. He confirmed that the lock I could not open had indeed been replaced with a different one and that he was shocked I that I had gotten the other one open because that one showed clear signs of damage. Save Green Self Storage changed both of those locks and allowed another person to access my units and, when I attempted to rectify the problem, Save Green Self Storage refused to assist me with anything. Both the police officer and the locksmith were astonished and disgusted by the actions of Save Green Self Storage. I don't recommend you use them for your storage needs. I've added some additional photos. Save Green Self Storage is owned by Hawthorne Residential Partners. When I brought my problem to Hawthorne's attention on their Facebook page they laugh reacted to my message and also removed one of my posts on the page. I've included the pictures of their laugh reaction.

I referenced the two units advertised online. His reply was" That's what we would offer if we had one, but there are none available. Fence has no theft deterrent (barbed wire) in my area. Guy two spaces down from me has his unit parked in such a way that anyone can climb right over the fence, using his RV ladder. After catalytic converter is replaced ($$$$) I will be relocating. Employees have been very nice and sympathetic, but basically say park at your own risk.
