I am so happy I stumbled upon Smart Paws. We've been using Smart Paws since our now 6 month old Golden Retriever puppy, Gerty, was 9 weeks old. My husband and I both work full time jobs, so we needed a walker that we could trust to enter our home each day and help potty train the pup. We started with two 15 minute potty breaks when Gerty was little, but she has now graduated to one walk per day. Smart Paws provides a detailed report with GPS map for each walk, and I love their photo updates. They have recently implemented a new scheduling software that makes it so easy to setup appointments online up to 11pm the night before. My work hours are often changing, so I love the flexibility of not having to have a definitive walking schedule set in stone for each week and that Smart Paws has no minimum for walks per week. Aside from their standard services, today I received a notification from our walker, Sara. Gerty has been sick and had had diarrhea when she arrived and rolled all around in it in her kennel! Sara was kind enough to go above and beyond her 25-minute walking duties. She still took Gerty for her walk, gave her a bath, cleaned out the kennel, and opened some windows to air out the apartment. She continuously kept me updated and was able to give me enough information I needed for the vet that night. Sara truly rocks, and I know Gerty loves getting to hang out with her each day. I truly can't say enough good things about Smart Paws. I'm always very willing to recommend Sam and his team to anyone I run across in need of a dog walker. Thanks for everything you do, Smart Paws! read more

I can't say enough good things about Smart Paws! The owner Sam and his dog walkers are fabulous!! I was new to the Chicago area and needed a dog walker to tend to my dogs while I was away. I was nervous at first because my dogs a Golden and a Maltishipoo have never had a dog walker before. The Golden is a big baby and sometimes grabs the leash to control the walk. I needed a dog walker I could trust and could handle wacky behaviors Sam came over for our consultation and took a lot of notes and asked questions. He also walked with us to the park so I could show him their favorite spots. I was nervous up until my first couple of texts/emails. This is the best part, the GPS tracker shows you where the walk took place what happened on the walk and he even includes pictures!! I was so excited I couldn't wait for the next one. I was showing everyone I was with the pics and updates. Of course they thought I was crazy that I had a tracker on my dogs but that's the best part!! Smart Paws is affordable, patient and the system is super easy and convenient to use! I recommend Smart Paws to anyone needing a dog walker! read more

I am so happy with my experience with Smart Paws! I have a cat who I love and who I knew wouldn't do well being boarded somewhere while I went out of town for the holidays, so I wanted to have him stay at home. I signed up to have Smart Paws visit with him for fifteen minutes a day to play and feed him and clean his litter box. I was very pleased with how I was treated when I called to set up the meet greet, and all my questions were answered. Then, when we went on the trip, I got an email the first and last day to update me on how my cat did and they were very friendly and showed they payed attention to him! When I got back, the litter box was very well taken care of and trash was thrown away correctly so I came home to a clean, not-smelly house and a happy cat. I could tell he was well taken care of and played with which is what I wanted. I was also very happy with the price, even for a holiday visit. Overall I would recommend Smart Paws to anyone with a cat and will use them again in the future! read more

Smart Paws has been our trusted dog walker for Beckham for over 3 years, and after years of working with other walking companies, the customer service and availability at Smart Paws is top notch. They always keep clear lines of communication whether through the app, by email or phone. Their booking service is easy to understand and easy to modify/adjust/refer back to past walks. Smart Paws is also very accomodating. My flight was delayed home on a Sunday night and I was able to speak to Smart Paws and they sent someone over to walk Beckham immediately-- such peace of mind. Beckham had an evasive knee surgery two years ago and the Smart Paws office team and the walkers were incredibly understanding and listened to our every need as Beckham recooperated- such a tender time for an animal owner! Thank you Smart Paws for always understanding the quirky animal lovers!! :) read more

We have been using Smart Paws for about 2 years now. We did a lot of research and they seemed the most flexible and lease expensive. In the 2 years we've been using them I'd say the biggest issue we had was some dirt on the floor from shoes. Smart Paws is extremely flexible in their scheduling and cancellation policies. They really take them time to get to know you and your pet. From the first meet and greet they went the extra mile to get to know our dog's schedule and even where we kept the cleaning supplies in case he had an accident (which they've definitely had to clean up on more than one occasion). They even go the extra mile and bring in our packages for us as well as texting/calling us if our dog seems a little off. Their notes are hilarious and the photos are computer background worthy. read more

I started using Smart Paws about six months ago when I started traveling a lot for work - I hated relying on friends/neighbors to come check on my two kitties and they never wanted to scoop the litter box (who does?). Smart Paws is awesome! They feed and play with my cats and take care of the litter box during their visits. Its so easy and intuitive to schedule an appointment and the whole system is awesome. I get updated as soon as the walker shows up to my apartment and another notification when they leave with a summary of what they did and pictures of my fur babies! The customer service is all around great - if theres ever an issue with a visit, they are totally responsive and work extremely hard to correct the issue. I would absolutely recommend this service to anyone. read more

I have been using Smart Paws for almost a year now and have only good things to say about them! Scheduling a walk for my dog or visit for my cat is so easy and fast. Smart Paws really came to the rescue for me when I was on vacation and my cat sitter suddenly became unable to care for my cat as planned. Within minutes I was able to schedule visits for my cat. Smart Paws usually only visits my home for my dog, so they have very little information on my cat, but that proved to be no problem at all! The "walkers" figured everything out to ensure my cat was fed and his area was cleaned up. Some of the walkers even got my cat to come out from hiding (they sent pictures to prove it) which means there are some truly sweet, genuine animal lovers there! read more

I have been using Smart Paws for over a year and the service is a great fit for my unpredictable schedule. No minimum number of walks required, availability from early morning until late evening, different levels of service (15 minute potty breaks and longer walks available) extras like feeding my dog, giving treats, etc are no additional charge. I love knowing exactly when they arrive and when they left as well as the update on what happened during the walk. Since my schedule is all over the place, I don't usually have the same walker. Except for 2 issues (which were quickly resolved) there have been no problems. My timid 14 year old dog is in great hands with them- can't ask for more than that! read more

This review is long overdue. I absolutely love Smart Paws! Smart Paws and Rebecca have been extremely accomodating and have saved me on several ocassions when I was stuck in traffic and not able to get home at my regular time to let my pup out. Usually have the same 2-3 walkers and I love how personalized they make their messages after the walks. Also worth noting that their QR code system is great because I never have to questions whether they showed up or not. I also feel very safe having them in my apartment when I am not there. Prices are very reasonable and they do not charge extra when my parents dog comes to stay with me for a week or 2 when they are out of town. read more

We have been using SmartPaws for walks while we are at work for about 4 months now. Last month, I unexpectedly had to go out of town last minute (I only found out the night before) and I did not want to board our puppy because he would not have got the attention he needed at night (he had an upset stomach at the time). I contacted SmartPaws and within an hour they were able to give me recommendations of dog walkers who I could contact to watch my puppy while I was gone. They were a lifesaver! Gina watched my puppy and she made me feel so comfortable and I knew my puppy was having a good time while I was gone. So grateful for this experience! read more

We have been using Smart Paws since our now nine month old puppy was only eight weeks old and they are the best! I am a bit over protective of our dog and truly think of him as one of the family, so I wanted to be sure to have a dog walker that we could completely trust with our pet. Smart Paws has been amazing. Our dog LOVES Anthony and is always happy to see him which shows how well he gets treated on his walks. We get the cutest updates with pictures that are a highlight of the day for us. They are reliable and flexible if you need to make changes, but most importantly they are trustworthy and we know our pup is in great hands with them. read more

We just got our very first puppy, 8 weeks old and was nervous to hire a dog walker. We had recieved a family friend recommendation, for Smart Paws Chicago and could not be more happy with our services! Their online system allows for ease of appointment scheduling (they are VERY flexible), the doggy logs- seriously... are the HIGHLIGHT of our day (puts us at ease) and their staff are compassionate and careful with our pet. They are very affordable and worth every penny! We would highly recommend this pet service, as they will make you feel 100% comfortable in your home and caring for your pet. Thank you Smart Paws Chicago! - Love Oscar read more

Smart Paws is absolutely AMAZING! I have been using their dog walking services for almost a year, and they have exceeded all my expectations. I sometimes have an unpredictable schedule, but they have always been accommodating. While my pup loves any walker who Smart Paws assigns to him, he adores Jorie, who takes wonderful care of him each visit. I always look forward to reading the walk summaries and seeing the photos of my dog...they make my day! Walks are easily scheduled online or via an app on my iPhone. With Smart Paws I know my dog will go out and also spend snuggle or playtime with one of their amazing walkers! read more

I rarely write reviews, but Smart Paws Chicago is so good. They always read the notes I leave (shoes for snow with the dog, treats for the cat) - but the best part is how flexible they are. No minimum number of walks (my schedule changes a lot) and scheduling is super easy with their app. I love the detailed report I get when they are done and of course the pictures. (If you have an Apple Watch and you download the app, you'll get a notification when they check in and out). Just a really great, easy experience so far - I've been using them since August (lots of walks for my dog and they cat sit over the holidays). read more

Smart Paws is a great walker. We started using them because of their reputation for flexible scheduling (including last minute cancellations), but they provided an awesome all-around experience. I loved getting the walker reports in my email and I would frequently share the included photos with my coworkers. Watching their snapchats was always fun, and they even nominated our dog as "Most Athletic" in their 2016 "Best Of" awards! (he got runner-up, which really tempted me to knock off a star....almost). Prices are reasonable and customer service is always responsive and friendly. A fabulously run company! read more

We started using Smart Paws when Rebel was 8 weeks old. We initially chose them because they were so flexible with scheduling while I was finishing up graduate school. Other companies weren't willing to work around my class schedule. Rebel is 3 years old now and Smart Paws is still our #1 choice for walker/snuggler/playtime friend. My husband and I love getting emails from Smart Paws walkers during the day with pictures and funny anecdotes about our little Rebel. It really brightens our day. I recommend them to anyone who asks for reliable, flexible, friendly service. read more

I reached out to Smart Paws Chicago on a recommendation from a friends a little over a year ago when I adopted a rescue dog. They were amazing right from the start! Had a home visit to meet my dog and walk through everything. My dog is on daily medication so this was also a concern of mine. Not only are the ALWAYS on-time, they never forget his medication and send me notes on my dog, which all but make my day! They give me peace of mind that my dog will always be taken care of and the ease of adding walks when needed is also great. I can not recommend them enough! read more

Smart Paws has treated me and my dog Dagny so well over the years. I get the sense that management and the employees genuinely care about my dog and enjoy what they are doing. They walk dogs from 7AM-11PM 365 days a year and provide awesome updates through an app. I could not be happier with this service and I get the sense that the owner Sam cares about the well being of Dagny. The walkers reports brighten my day as they are clever and fun filled. Couldn't be happier with the people that walk my dog when I'm an unable to! read more

Smart Paws makes my life so much easier. Scheduling online couldn't be easier and they are just as happy to schedule my appointments on the phone. The walkers are friendly, reliable and trustworthy and best of all flexible. My dog had two friends stay over and Smart Paws bent over backwards to make sure all three dogs were well taken care of. Best of all I get an email complete with a GPS report of where they walked and I can rest easy that my dog is fine until i get home. Thank you Smart Paws! Diane K. read more
