We had a terrible experience with Smart Fix. My girlfriend broke her Samsung Megan screen so we took it here to be replaced. After 2 weeks, the screen would turn off... or only half of the screen would randomly go black. We brought the phone back and we were told that we dropped it and it was our fault. He claimed that he could see a crack on the screen... I asked him to show me and he then admitted it was not a crack, but a smudge which wiped off. Then he opened it and said there was no problem with the screen itself, and it was obviously a Samsung software issue. Which made no sense at all. He said there was nothing he could do, since the screen was fine and he connected everything right. He was all too quick to brush us off as he had another customer waiting and wasn't interested in resolving this problem. So basically the took $130 from us and did not honor their warranty. My 11 year old son has had his first phone for about a year now and was doing great with it until he decided he didn't need his case anymore. I told him to wait and he could save up for a new one but he refused and with in 3 days he dropped it and the screen was cracked. He was devastated and I was mad. He has been doing odd jobs around the house now for a month and finally has saved 100.00 and begged me to take him to the mall where we heard there is a kiosk (right as you enter the Nordstrom/Pennies wing). If I could give no stars I would .... got my screen fixed here ..then 6 months after it started to freeze so I took it back to get it replaced since it has a warranty .... but since it has a tiny lil crack on the bottom corner they wanted to charge $80 ...when I originally paid $120 ....the manager/ owner was there also and didn't even offer a better deal .... I should of got it fixed at the Apple store Which they charge the same and it's legit parts .... will never go back here or recommend this spot .... oh and the same kiosk/ company downstairs offered $70 still not a good deal .... most I would pay to replace would be $30 read more

Disclaimer: I came here about 4 months ago, but my review is accurate- I promise. I'll get to the reason why I posted this late. I came here to get my iPhone 6 Plus's screen repaired. I thought everything was great: the wait time (45 mins and immediate), price ($130), and polite repairer (lady). I also had a broken rear camera that wouldn't focus (it broke before my screen cracked), but only because my phone was faulty and did qualify for a free repair at the apple store. After telling her this, the lady also offered to clean my camera and replace it for a discounted price, $25, instead of $60 (rear camera replacements online for $12). Because I was in a time crunch, and Apple needed reservations for repair, I said, "why not?" and got my camera replaced there as well (total cost with screen fix was around $150). Fast forward to today, the camera works fine and is great! As for the glass, I notice that it gets scratches and buffs very easily. I'm thinking this is a different type of glass that doesn't come from the original iPhone. I don't mind that, but the quality of the glass was definitely different. Most disappointing of all, the grey antenna line's left side was cracked off (around 2mm). I noticed this the night of the repair and couldn't afford to go back anytime soon because I was in a time crunch and live 20 minutes from Brea Mall (I don't drive!). Sigh... it's kind of ironic how a repair shop breaks something that was originally fine. TLDR: Good price and time, bad quality iPhone screen, the repair broke my iPhone's antenna line and didn't report it to me. Would I come back here again? No. Although the camera was working well, I don't count the affordable price to cover for the broken antenna. read more

My friend cracked the screen on their iPhone 6 so we stopped by this place to get a quote to replace it. That was a mistake. This business is simply a large counter/desk on the upper level of the Brea Mall by the elevator and where several walkways converge. It's a high traffic area and must be like working in a fishbowl, but that's no excuse for a bad attitude. There were two men working the counter today, and one was talking with a customer. The other was sitting down with his arms crossed and staring straight ahead, but we only had a simple question so we approached him and asked the price to repair a screen. That was when we saw why he was staring...he was watching a video on his phone that was on a bracket behind the counter and reached forward to pause it when we asked our question. He looked very annoyed. "Whatchya got?" "An iPhone 6." "110," then immediately returned to watching his video. Totally rude! While I wouldn't condone an employee watching a video on company time, I can understand needing to find something to help pass the time if there aren't any customers. But if a customer approached you, it's time to work. This guy just had a horrible attitude and seemed to have absolutely no interest in being there and clearly couldn't care less about customer service or making a sale. We were more than willing to pay that to fix the screen, but no way was this place going to get the business. read more

BUYER BEWARE!! I had a cracked screen and came here to fix it. They quoted me $100 for an "authentic" apple screen and added tax when I paid. They told me it was guaranteed. A guarantee or warranty means you will cover it within a certain time frame if the screen cracks again. They also put the glass screen protector on. A week later my screen cracked and it was under the screen protector. My friend told me this means it was not an apple screen and it was a generic brand which breaks easily so you can keep going back to the repair place. She knew because this had happened to her. I went back and said I was here a week ago and I have your warranty on the screen. The guy told me "The warranty is for a new screen for $80". WTF?? Of course I refused to fix it with them and instead went to Flatline Repair in Huntington Beach who I actually trust and have real warranties on their products. Do not fall for their "warranty"scam they will up sell you lifetime warranty but what they don't explain that the warranty only covers glitches with the screen it does not cover any cracks or scratches that happen. I just came back a few months later to get a crack repaired and they don't do that. I was under the impression the lifetime warranty to fix any damages. If I could I would give this place not even 1 star! Its smart to stay away from Smart fix. They talk you into getting your phone fixed with them very nice. I should of trusted my gut instinct. For $60 he said he would change the glass and gave me "warranty" as long as the glass he installed wasn't broken. I let him fix my broken glass and went home with a glitching phone. I took it back the next day and he claimed he "fixed" it. But later in the day it started glitching again. So when I took my phone back again for the 3rd time he said he couldn't fix it! What happened to my "warranty"? He said my battery had a bubbly and wanted to charge me $80 to fix my phone again. And If I didn't buy a new battery with him he could not fix my glitching phone. Many of the other reviewers already rave about how short it took for Andy to repair a phone with a cracked screen display or the cost being so humble and modest compared to other repair shops. So I'd rather talk about after service which They provided me after the 1st repair service due to unusual glitches on my phone screen display. I was so worried that I didn't have a receipt nor their business card to prove that I paid for their repairing service a few days ago. Also, because the earliest time I could go back to the store and ask Andy for another help was a few days later when I found out about the errors on my phone screen display. To make a long story short, I was very impressed by their reliable service, because he was trying to remember me and even showed some great respect. Had them look at my phone when it was cracked after they fixed it a couple of weeks ago. Their screens are fake and janky. I went today. They opened it up and gave it back to me it being even more broken!!! Then the guy, Andy, told me that it's common sense that my phone would be more broken after he opened to look at it. Do not I repeat DO NOT take your phone here to get the screen replaced. My wife cracked her IPhone 6s screen a few months back and we brought it here because we saw how cheap their prices were. After the screen replacement my wife's phone wouldn't charge properly to multiple cables and then as of yesterday it stopped charging all together. We take the phone to apple today and they told us that screws on the inside are missing... and that the charger has completely crashed... so now we have to buy a new phone... Internally the phone was never touched by anyone else other then the person working the day we brought it in. And the negligence of the person who touched the phone to lose screws or for them to be loose even is unacceptable at any price you pay to have a screen to be fixed. So buyer beware even though the price is nice you definitely loose some quality of work because of it. It may not show right away but overtime you will see the real problems arise. read more

Got my screened fixed here about a month ago. The guy who fixed it said to come back if there was any issues with the touch screen. My phone started acting up a couple of days later. The touch screen sometimes works and then it doesn't. I brought it back so it can get fixed I was essentially dismissed by the guy who fixed it and said it was the software of the phone, when I proceeded to tell him I have never had this issue until now. The screen is also popping up and I can almost take it off. He told me my battery was swollen. I told him that didn't make sense because Apple had just replaced my battery.
