Smart & Final is like a mini Costco with more selection. I always head here for their candy, Torani syrups, and other restaurant type supplies. This is a great place to find inexpensive items if you're hosting a large gathering. Need serving trays, bowls, utensils? They got em. The location has also recently been renovated. It's aesthetically more pleasing, and more organized. The produce even looks decent-although I confess I haven't tried. Recent visit to a local Vons has all proven why this S&F store is great. Pricing is VERY competitive if not better than other local grocers. It is important to check dates on the products and only use meat department bonus 50% -75% off deals the day of purchase. Mostly, all of the staff is very helpful. Produce department can be kept excessively cold which causes lack of quality control over the products. read more

This is not my favorite Smart & Final store, though I do shop here periodically when I'm travelling across town. They have the same products and prices as the other Smart and Final stores but the location is kind of skeezie. Twice I went there after dark and there were transients loitering in the parking lot. This is where I pick up bottles of Torani syrup. They have the big bottles (25 ounces/750 ml) for only $4.59 each - $4.04 each if you buy them 12 at a time, and I do! (http://Torani.com sells the same size for $7.95) I've also purchased their candies and paper and plastic cups, plates, and cutlery. I haven't purchased any of their refrigerated or frozen items because a lot of them are packaged in larger quantities than I need. I don't want them to go bad before I get to them and I have limited freezer space. read more

This store is a little off the grid but always worth the trip. Bonus buys in the meat section fresh produce & friendly helpful staff.

The location itself is clean and the staff is friendly. However, I was in the bathroom and someone tried to come in and obviously it was locked. I said "occupied" but before I could finish, the worker at the door had used his key to open the door to the bathroom. I was 19 sitting on the toilet with a grown man opening the door. This is the closest grocery store to me unfortunately. If I need something real quick I will go there but other than that I stay away. The produce ALWAYS goes bad quickly. Another thing is the homeless people and drug addicts standing right by the entrance to harass you for money EVERY time you go in. If it is at night or there are too many crazy looking people outside I don't bother going there. You cannot feel safe bringing kids. I have literally seen a homeless person going through a couple of purses in front of this store exclaiming " there's no money in here". read more

Im sorry. I couldn't even give this a total review because this store has a funk to it. When I say funk, I mean it stinks like a$$ and dirty socks. Ive tried to enter store to grab a few things I know are on sale via their mail advertisement. But I just can't bring myself to shop in a grocery store, especially for food when the store smells bad. Whether it's the actual store or it's cliental. This location is in a local warzone. This Smart & Final is awesome. Not only did I find everything I needed but I was also helped by some of the friendliest staff. In the checkout line I was greeted by the most interesting cashier, Tanner I think it was. Make sure to go through his line if you're looking for a meaningful conversation. The boy has wisdom beyond his years. He even helped me pick out the perfect Cabernet for my daughters wedding next month. I invited him to that wedding! This Company has went from bad to worse! The management team SUCKS other than Victor. The incompetent clerks are not listening to what you say and just do their own thing. I went there for the last time tonight and I don't care if it only three minutes from my apt driving. I would rather drive to Costco and get great customer service . I specifically told the clerk to debit only 40 dollars off my debt card and she debited the entire amont of my purchase which took my account into ovetdraft and cost me 30 extra dollars. They returned all my items and instead of refunding a debit transaction they refunded a credit transaction which means my funds were not immediately available. To make a long story short I'm out of 140 dollars for a 40 dollar transaction and all they can say is sorry! read more

Can't find it at Costco...need something more than you can find at a grocery store? Smart and Final is always my answer! For both personal and work, I find S&F easy to navigate and the employees are always willing to help and are knowledgeable. They advertised tilapia for 2.99/lb, but didn't have it in the store. After checking with the assistant manager regarding the price and product in the ad, she said they just don't carry it...... um.. then why advertise it? At least at other grocers, they honor their advertised price. read more
