    4 pack - $15, pricey!

I reallllllllyyyyyy wanted to like this place. But I don't. The cupcakes are gorgeous, but that's about it. I wasn't wowed in any way and I suppose this place is great if you're craving a $4 cupcake. The shop is really cute and the service is so friendly, but I won't be back for these.

The best cupcakes in the area - actually, personally, for me, the best cupcakes in the Chicagoland area! But matched with the absolute best service in the whole wide world - the couple here are SO nice, sometimes I go for the conversations far more than the cupcakes, all the people working here are sweethearts! Now on to the cupcakes, I love Molly's Cupcakes in Chicago, and Kara's cupcakes in SanFran - before Smallcakes, those two were my favorite, and I still love those joints, but for all their innovative flavors, I'll take a "Wedding Cake Cupcake" from Smallcakes over all their flavors combined. Their cup cakes are so moist, with the perfect amount of icing/ganache! Here are some of my favorites: Wedding Cake Cupcake - a simple almond cake, with just a hint of almond coming through, and a lovely almond silky-smooth buttercream and candy pearls. Simplicity at it's best! If I ever get married (and that's a big if) I'd want a cake made of just this - its DIVINE!!! An absolute must-try! Coconut Cupcake - this is vanilla cake, and the icing is cream cheese, coconut flavored ofcourse, topped with coconut flakes. So super yum, with the most wonderful flavor of coconut coming through. Caramel Crunch - One of my most absolute favorites, especially in regards to texture. A chocolate cake, topped with Caramel icing (it's different than icing, almost gel-like texture), topped with a pretzel and sea salt. That sea salt crunch as you bite into the chocolate cake topped with caramel, is just a punch of yummy deliciousness! Boston Cream - this is a vanilla cake filled with delicious and luscious Bavarian cream, and topped with a chocolate icing. I also love the Lemon Drop, and the Red Velvet is divine as well (however, for me, it's too rich and thus after two bites I'm done!). And they also offer amazing specials that change from week to week, and can always be checked out on their website and through their Facebook page. If you're a fan of cupcakes, this place is a definite MUST TRY! Wish I'd taken more pics before I devoured them!

I had ordered a custom cake from them and they did a great job bringing my ideas to life! The cake also tasted delicious many guest stated it was rich and moist and took seconds!

All the cupcakes we ordered were delicious! Red velvet, king (mardi gras special cupcake), almond, fruit, lemon, and sundae were my faves. The icing was delicious, the cake was moist and not too sweet. Minus one star for the macarons...they tasted stale. I tried one of each flavor. I was disappointed in all them. Not one tasted good and the textures were off. Idk if I just had a bad batch or I came on an off day for macarons...they just didn't taste good tbh. Aside from that, GREAT CUPCAKES!!

Smallcakes is our usual spot to secure tasty treats for birthdays. On our most recent visit I discovered the creamery! Although not a plethora of flavors each option was yummy. I sampled three flavors before committing to peanut butter cup! The ice cream is pure velvet on the tongue - rich & sultry. I will admit I am a peanut butter fan anyway but Smallcakes just elevated the creamery game! As an added bonus...there was a special treat to top-off my new discovery -magic spoons. As I was enjoying my creamy cup on the ride home I noticed the spoon changing colors. No one told me that the spoons were heat/temperature responsive. It was such a cool treat to enjoy my cold treat with just another little twist. If you spot a Smallcakes Cupcakery in your area take the time to stop for a magically delicious visit!

    The vision for the cake

What an awful disappointment . I ordered a gender neutral cake for a gender reveal for my niece first pregnancy. I walked in - yes walked in to ensure there was no miscommunication. I explained gender neutral cake with a Teddy Bear on top. Mommy and Dad to be do not want too much fondant but want the ombré colors for the cake with the circles and teddy bear on top. The employee took a picture and repeatedly said yes, yes yes. Picked up the cake and no teddy bear asked for the teddy bear to be added or to be decorated a bit more, the Employee goes to the back and says the decorator didn't see the Teddy bear in the pic and for any fondant orders you need to order it 2 days in advance, but we added sprinkles. I was so disappointed! I paid for the cake and left.

Amazing amazing...AH Mazing! Yummy eats and stellar service...especially now during the "stay home" quarantine. New to IL...I messaged through Instagram twice during this time and my order was filled without fail! Loved the cake, cupcakes and cookies!...all done custom for our birthday boy! Oh yeah...they looked incredible (presentation) and tasted even more incredible too (if that's even possible!!!)

Love the new South Naperville location. Happy to see they opened this 3rd location. I've been a fan of the original North Naperville store for a long time. I have even visited their Chicago store too. The inside here is the largest of them and is soo cute. I had my first cupcake smash today. Twist the top off the cupcake. Drop the stump in a cup atop a scoop of ice cream along with a scoop of ice cream atop the stump, then place the top of the cupcake atop the ice cream. Wednesday special Coconut Rum Cupcake with Peanut Butter ice cream for the win. They're right next to Discount Tire at 111th. Stop by and congratulate Jill, tell her Hungry Haus sent ya!

Not only are the cupcakes heavenly their customer services is great. I ordered cupcakes from them for my bridal shower back in March and they messed up the color (honest mistake). Well they made it right and gave me a free dozen cupcakes to make up for the inconvenience. Unless it's an emergency, I refuse to go to any other cupcake place.

Super moist cake! I ordered a cake and mini cupcakes for a birthday. It was super easy to order over the phone. I wanted a basketball theme. I emailed photos of what I wanted as were on the phone and received exactly that! Great customer service, beautiful cake decorating and delicious tasting cakes. Highly recommend for any party orders or just because you want delicious cake. We received a courtesy free cupcake. We chose the wedding cake cupcake and YES it tasted like we were at a wedding reception. Keep it up Smallcakes!

Absolutely amazing. Every cupcake I tried had a delicious filling inside. The cake is extremely moist. Also, they have a cupcake shake. You get to pick any homemade ice cream flavor and pair it with a cupcake and they blend it into a shake. Absolutely amazing. I can't wait to go back.

Vanilla and wedding cake flavors for my mom's 75th birthday yesterday- the best!!

Each and every location features plentiful parking, a social media worthy interior, comfortable elegant seating, and quality desserts that consistently delight everyone who has the opportunity to try them. On my visit here, I tried a different set of items from my Schaumburg visit to test the consistency of quality across different flavor profiles and dessert types, and it delivered perfectly. The mango gelato here is incredible -- with probably the strongest mango flavor I've ever had in a gelato. The Lotus was an elevated version of one of my favorite biscuits. The gelato is incredible, creamy and flavorful -- and something I'd happily serve with most any dessert. The waffle was flavorful as usual which paired perfectly with the chocolate mix. I also wanted to try My Passion to get a mix of different fruits -- as I was pleasantly surprised by how fresh the fruit was at the other location. This was equally as great, with fruit presented at the perfect ripeness. Extra kudos to the kiwi which wasn't sour at all, and in fact was one of the first items to be finished completely. The pineapple was also super juicy, sweet, and flavorful. I wish we'd gotten more eclairs, as the filling was super delicious. Maybe the weakest item in this dish was the brownie, which was only good -- while everything else we'd tried was great to amazing. Overall, worth a special trip for any dessert lover. This business consistently delivers top notch dishes at very reasonable prices.

As with other gourmet cookie places, there are no tables and chairs inside; it's takeout only. Service was friendly. They have a selection of always-available cookies, and a weekly selection of two specialty cookies. We ordered a cupcake cookie, a creme brulee, a celebration cookie, and a keto chocolate chip cookie. Oh my goodness! These are some of the best cookies I've had. The cupcake, creme brulee, and celebration were all delicious, especially the first two. The keto cookie being sugar-free was not super tasty, but it has far less sugar than the regular cookies, so it's a worthy trade-off. All gourmet cookie places are expensive, but these are way better than grocery store cookies. If you've got a craving, this is the place to go.

But, I am reviewing the Lombard location. The selection was good and fresh, although some of their items are a bit pricey. I ordered cake pops, brownies, and a chocolate chip cookie. The sales person was pleasant and quick. This store is their biggest store, and they feed the Winfield and Schaumburg stores. They make their pastries at this location, so you'll probably get the freshest selection at the Lombard location. I had bought a gift card from Costco for Sweet Reserve. I admit if I hadn't bought it, and received a discount at Costco for it, I probably would not have noticed the store. It's in a small strip mall on Roosevelt road which has hundreds of strip malls off the road. The store itself is clean and well kept. It does have a limited selection of products but they were all pretty good. The brownies are very frudgey, just the way I like them. The cake pops are sweet, but a little dry. The cookie has a lot of chips in them. Overall, I liked the place.

Close at 10pm but if you need longer later hours a 1am tea shop is about a quarter mile down the road with good options also. Parking lot with plenty of parking. My highlight is that they have booths. Plenty of tables and seating. Good menu options for lattes, iced, hot, espresso, etc. Reasonable priced and they have 20oz coffee. The service was nice as the girl was kind but she didn't seem to understand me well and she didn't know if the coffee was Turkish or not. Therefore, I ordered an Americano with their homemade pistachio sauce. It was a nice beverage. I also ordered a Turkish bread with ground beef. It too was delicious, hot and fresh. The ambiance is inviting. The pastries and mini to small cake options were quite beautiful. The nose level was very quiet until little ones came in. Still tolerable but if you are studying and it's busy don't forget your headphones. Lol. I studied for about 3 hours and I would definitely return again.
