We are from Texas & in town visiting family. We stayed at the RV park across the street (great place BTW). My husband & teenage boys saw the sign for fried pies after our lunch time arrival and stopped immediately. They were cooked fresh with caramel drizzle & nuts......AMAZING! Peach was the family fave . Then after spending the afternoon with family we came back for supper and it did NOT Disappoint!! Food was hot & fresh and well flavored. The fried catfish platter was so much food! Fish, hush puppies, crispy French fries, two sides and a salad too! I had the pork tenderloin dinner with two sides, the most deliciously tender potatoes and a salad too.....so so tasty! Teenage boys got the chicken fried steak and fried frog leg platters.....both said they were outstanding. Our party of 7 was VERY full & happy! The owner helped serve our table and was super friendly! Just overall good people with a genuine down home atmosphere. We even added a dollar bill to the ceiling as part of the growing collection. If in doubt, you need to eat here! TL; DR: Eat here! Get the chicken fried steak, catfish dinner, pork tenderloin or fried frog legs....and most of all a FRIED PIE or TWO! read more

I was visiting Muskogee and decided to stop here in a whim. I'm so glad that I did. The people there were friendly and kind. This might be the cleanest place I've ever eaten. I had the steak fingers with gravy. It was super good but that fried cherry pie was phenomenal. I don't know when I will be in the area again but I will definitely go there again when I am. read more

I am only in town for business.I was driving around looking for a place to eat.I was at the stoplight and look to the left and I saw a place called smack that restaurant.I was wondering what is smack that period. What are they smacking? I? Pulled up in the drive-through and I ordered an impossible Burger and curly fries. It was the best decision I ever made. Dropped in tonight for a take out order. The place is really cute! The waitress was super nice and made sure we did have everything that we asked for. The cons: the burgers weren't that great. More like Walmart premade burgers. My husbands burger actually was two bottom buns, lol. The zucchini fries are great and the curly fries are good. I'd go for chicken next time, not the burgers. First of all the address on here is wrong it's located at 1222 South 32nd Street, and an absolute MUST TRY is the Chicken and Waffle Sandwich plus as an added bonus they make fried pies and to make you really smile they fry them when you order them this is a must try my son who is a picky eater had to be rolled out the door he was so full!!! read more

Your first impression of this remodeled strip mall shack is the smell of grease in the air, much like the 3am drunk diner you used to visit in the middle of the night. The scent will linger on your clothes for hours. Ordering is at the counter, and the drinks and tables are self serve, which establishes that this is not a full service event. First time visiting Muskogee and was looking for a place to have lunch with the family. Based on reviews, we decided to give this place a try, and every single one of us was impressed. Not only was the staff extremely welcoming and friendly, but the service was fast, and our food was hot and fresh. I got the double smack burger. It was huge and cooked to perfection. Coming from Colorado, I had no idea what the hype in Oklahoma was with "fried pies", however, this place blew me away. We got a half apple, half peach fried pie and it was amazing! On top of that we got to meet the owners who were awesome and friendly people. 10/10, would highly recommend! Very tasty, satisfying burgers! We tried the cheeseburger and bacon cheeseburger today. Both burgers had all the fixings and the fries. I also tried the zucchini fries with ranch and loved it! The burgers were not dry or bland. I appreciated that the meat was seasoned but didn't taste overly seasoned and I could still taste the beef. The vegetables in the burger tasted fresh and clean. The bacon in my burger was crisp and didn't overpower the beef flavor but complimented it well. The prices are very reasonable so we splurged on the extra side--which was totally worth it! The establishment was impeccably clean, as well as the restroom. It's a one restroom that is unisex. No odor whatsoever--and I truly appreciate that because that's a smell you don't want associated with your lunch break! The staff was very friendly and greeted everyone who entered. I don't have a single complaint about the food, the staff, the cleanliness, the appearance, nor the cost! They also have daily specials I'd love to try next time! We're very pleased we decided to visit and will frequent this restaurant whenever we're in Muskogee. read more

A very generous portion as well...so large that I didn;t have room for their fried pies. The service was also excellent. You have to try the bacon cheeseburger WITH chili. OMGoodness! We also had the chicken fried steak meal and an order of zucchini sticks. The steak was not smothered with gravy, which is my personal favorite. The chicken fried steak was crispy and not overly battered, it was more meat than coating. It did not have the dreaded soggy grease bottom, which is an absolute plus! The mashed potatoes were not instant (yay! ). The zucchini was also good, coating was not greasy and the not mushy on the inside. I wish I saved room for the carrot cake. read more
