    Black garlic tonkatsu ramen
    Niccole W.

Passing through we came across this Ramen shop on Yelp and had to make the stop. I feel that it's necessary to start with the fact that I lived in Japan for three years and I set the bar very high when it comes to Ramen. Walking in we noticed that the restaurant has an odd vibe. Very high ceilings that are painted black with several lights burnt out and one even missing from the tracks. There was one hostess who also happen to be the only server and had five tables with walk-ins placing to-go orders. We knew from the start that the service was going to be a little slow with only one employee working the front of the restaurant. No matter though. Overall she did incredible and was very sweet. Looking over the menu it is definitely 'lean' in options but definitely not in portions. My husband and I ordered the the black garlic Tonkatsu Ramen, an order of Gyoza and a side of noodles for our daughter. We ordered our Ramen hot and it came with a rich color of broth, bamboo shoots, bean sprouts, green onion, and egg and two very thick slices of pork. There was a tremendous amount of noodles covered underneath all of that deliciousness. My only qualm is that the pork did not have any flavor beyond your typical unseasoned pork tenderloin and the egg was simply a hard boiled egg cut in half that had been overcooked. Typically the eggs a highlight for me but at this location. The Gyoza appears to have been fried which made it very crispy and they were absolutely fantastic.

Kids ramen bowl was huge! And delicious!

My family had such a lovely lunch at Slurpin! My 7 year old daughter is currently in a ramen obsession and everything was delicious. The staff were so kind and gave both my kids little chopstick helpers that they just loved!

My husband and I consider ourselves well versed in ramen, as we have our favorite spots in Las Vegas and California. We went here during Covid as other restaurants seemed to be quite crowded and reached capacity. When we came in, there were a lot of other guests but we were seated quickly. We ordered the Shoyu Ramen and the Basil Ramen. The Basil Ramen broth was practically green due to the pesto and tasted like 80% pesto/20% broth. It was flavorful, but I had to switch with my husband as I then realized that pesto had dairy and I am lactose-intolerant. The Shoyu Ramen broth was flavorful and there were a lot of noodles. The chicken mean itself was moist and thick, which I have a hard time finding at other ramen places. I would definitely say my favorite part was the chicken. The bathroom was confusing because I could not figure out how to lock the door for the life of me. It took me a great minute to realize that were was a tiny metal latch hiding right below the handle. They need to put a sign behind the door to let people know where the lock was, as the girl who used the bathroom after me was confused as well.

We loved it so much that we visited this place twice on a weekend trip to St. George's. Both times, we got the vegan ramen and it was easily one of the best ramens I have had. You can always add meat to it, so highly recommend trying this one. The first time, I got the spice level hot and it was definitely hot! They are not joking around with their spice level, which i was very happy about as I love spicy. On the other hand, their service can be slightly better and faster. If you're in the area, definitely check them out. Pro-tip: Get the spice level Original or Mild and the hot sauce on the side, so you can adjust the spice level according to your taste!

Fast food with good service. I was able to order quick and food came out fast. The loaded fries were good with some great flavor. Ramen has excellent broth and everything was cooked great. It hit the spot for a fast ramen fix on a warm day.

Spicy Black Garlic!!! Almost ordered a second bowl! No joke, it was that good!

Amazing! Must try the Black Garlic - Spicy! Service was quick and fast, friendly and very yummy!

The service was okay, there was only one person in the front of the house so things were a bit slow. The Charshu Pork was bland, the only thing really giving it flavor was the sauce. Same goes for the Charshu in the ramen noodles, it was a bit dry & overcooked. The veggies, noodles & broth were pretty good though. The ambiance was very chill and quiet.

    Vegan Ramen with Ramen Egg

I got a vegan broth ramen and it was so creamy and good - probably the best vegan broth I've ever tried! I took some to go and it tasted just as good the next day.

    Black garlic tonkotsu (fire spicy)

Very impressed with the Ramen here. Broth was not too salty or oily. Not too heavy either. Chasu was very juicy and flavorful. (Usually Chasu is too dry at many places). The egg was perfectly soft and perfectly creamy. I got the fire level heat and died, which is good because usually spicy levels aren't spicy enough. I took off one star because the kimchi was very disappointing. Don't order this if you're expecting traditional kimchi. I was expecting pickled spicy cabbage. It was tiny salty (unspicy) chopped radish...

Overpriced instant noodles with decent broth and good (but sparce) toppings. Just get the broth to go and make it at home

There were 4 people behind the reception table and that's good because there were piles of people inside! We were afraid we won't get a table fast because there were probably 30 people waiting both in and out. The receptionist asked if we're ok with sushi bar. We said yes and we were seated in 3 minutes, way ahead of everybody! There are 2 sections: habachi and sushi. We were of course seated at the sushi area. Our server's name was Star and she was lovely, highly attentive and efficient. We ordered sushi and yakisoba and everything was fresh and tasty! I highly recommend this place and will definitely come back next time we're in St George!

The reason for the one star review is the quality of the food. The food was bland and lacking seasoning except for the soup which tasted like you were putting salt directly on your tongue. We tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but the next morning I woke up with severe food poisoning, and spent the whole day stuck in my hotel room sick. We've called the restaurant, left a voicemail, and wrote in. We have not heard back. While we were initially excited to try this restaurant after driving by it for years, we will not be returning, and won't recommend this venue to anyone. They seem to have more focus on branding and being flashy, rather than proper food handling.

Unfortunately, the lamb had an odd taste and after-taste, the other meats tasted freezer burned, and the broth was kinda meh. The only meat we really enjoyed was the pork belly. My wife tried some of the imitation crab and found it too chewy, while I tasted the spicy tuna salad and found that it tasted as bad as it looked. We ordered one side of fried rice, but they gave us two of them. At least, the fried rice was ok, though! We will admit that we both felt a little woozy after eating here. The service was fast and very friendly at Sumo. We did not dine at a busy time, though, so how quickly you get your orders might be different during a high-occupancy time. I would also assume that the quality of food might be better during a busy time, as it may have to be freshly made. The dining room is vast with plenty of seats for patrons, and Sumo is located in a plaza with a big parking lot. The best part of this visit was the fun anime posters on the walls! We cannot recommend Sumo based on our experience this day, especially as people who have extensive experience with shabu shabu and kbbq. This place was not it.

We drove in…read morefrom Vegas that morning for the day and we worked up quite the appetite after 9 miles of hiking. We were looking forward to some yummy hot food. My husband ordered the Chicken Pad Thai and I ordered the Garlic Chicken & broccoli. We shared an order of Rangoons. If I'm being perfectly honest the food was just ok IMO. I purposely ordered my dish with no sauce bc I don't care for my food to be swim in a sodium, sugar & oil mixture masking whatever flavor the protein & veggies present on their own. I actually WANT to taste them. I didn't expect my mind to be blown by my dish for that reason. I knew what I was getting & honestly my food was very good. The chicken breast was good quality, cooked nicely and cut into small bite sized pieces as was the broccoli. Just what I wanted. Now I DID want to splurge a bit which is why we got the fried stuff too. Now for the not so impressive part. The stuff that was supposed to blow my mind bc it was fried, came with sauce and lots of spice just fell flat. The Rangoons had very little flavor. They were even slightly under cooked it seemed. The corners were the only part that were crispy and the part closest to the middle was barely cooked. Not my fav. I like a very crispy rangoon. Maybe that's just my preference. I sampled my husband's pad Thai, also a bust. Hardly an spice or flavor. He ordered a 3 out of 5 and there was hardly any heat. Maybe my Vegas taste buds have been spoiled or maybe this is a different style of the Thai we're not used to. At any rate I'm only giving it 3 out of 5 stars based on the food itself. The restaurant was in an interesting looking built stone building & plaza and the interior was decorated with a pretty traditional Asian-Thai theme. This place was packed on a Sat night too! The locals must love it. There was a line of people waiting to be seated when we arrived. There are no complaints about the service. We called our order in for pick up. The man who took out order was polite and I believe he was the same host who was greeting people at the door. He was very busy but still gave great service with a smile. Again, this review is not a reflection of him. He was great. The food....just wasn't.

This is definitely a no-frills, order at the counter and get your own utensils type of place. The food here tastes how I would imagine a Korean auntie would make at home. The dinner boxes are loaded with a little bit of everything, and they are incredibly priced at about $15-$20 depending on the protein for a huge amount of food! I tried the spicy pork bulgogi and the spicy chicken dinner boxes. The spicy pork definitely has a kick if you can't do spice. After the spicy pork bulgogi, the spicy chicken tasted pretty mild if you're looking for something less spicy. I truly enjoyed everything in the dinner box and would definitely get it again. The spicy pork bulgogi kimbap ($10) is also delicious if you're looking for something a little lighter, and the portion will have you pretty stuffed. I got both types of tteokbokki (rice cake) that they have. Both were delicious, but my favorite dish is the creamy tteokbokki. Think Korean carbonara--creamy, chewy, and indulgent. Both are $10 each and you can't go wrong with either one if you're in the mood for tteokbokki.
