    Bulgogi Lunch Plate
    Rachael W.

Food: 3/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Non-chain Korean restaurant that looks and feels very homey, and the lady who took our order was super sweet. No complaints about the service or restaurant itself. The food? Not so great. Everything was over peppered and the bulgogi was on the tougher side. One of my daughters had the beef bibimbap bowl and the top of it had a small slick of grease on top. The veggie tempura fritters were the highlight, they were one of the banchan dishes that came on our plates. I understand that this is a mom and pop shop and hopefully (like most of my reviews) it's an off day and other folks have a better experience.

I was surprised at all the high ratings on yelp and google and I can see why! The owners are so incredibly friendly and the food tastes homemade. I thoroughly enjoyed the mackerel lunch combo, it includes Kimchi, salad, 1 pot sticker, some deep fried veggies and a little baggie of kim (seaweed)! Out of all the sides, I enjoyed the japchae the most, they added the perfect amount of black pepper. My husband's galbi was phenomenal, charred a bit and Soo delicious!

Good food, good service. I sure wish Beef Bulgogi was on the menu, seems like a standard for Korean. I've been there for lunch and dinner a couple of times, everything I've tried has been very good. They could use some soy sauce for dine in customers, little tiny place with good food. What more could you ask?

Korea Picnic is like walking into a casual eatery in Seoul or other Korean town. The countryside mural and hand-painted walls feel like home. And the best indicator of authentic food is native Koreans filling the tables. Don't let the simplicity of the outdoor sign and entrance deter you. They have absolutely traditional menu items from the bulkogi options to bibimpap to the array of the best kimchi and they even black rice (which is a rarity in restaurants in America, but we LOVE it). You can also get traditional Korean drinks, snacks, and ice cream. Was happy to see the fish shaped waffles that are traditional street food. It was fun to talk to the owners and employees in Korean , who were kind and also made an off-menu request!

This is not a place for a quick bite. This is slow food. And that is more than all right. This is a family run eatery that has authentic Korean food. Eat in or take out, plan on your food preparation taking some time. It will be worth it. The bulgolgi and the tteokbokki (spicy rice cake) were both delicious. The lunch box came with sweet potato noodle, kimchi and what looked like radish pickle, egg, mandu, rice and salad. The spicy rice cake is indeed spicy, and surprisingly was still hot temperature wise when I got it back to the hotel. Next time, I'll order in advance to minimize the wait. I hope local and tourists alike keep this place in business. Worth the visit. I will be back. The small dining area was full. Clearly, this place is popular.

Still my favorite place! The owners are so kind and helpful. They definitely put love into all the dishes and they are such hard workers!

Another St George gem. Run by a Korean family, they treat you right when you dine here. Cute paintings on the wall. The food is authentic and delicious. You can get all the Korean classics here. They have lunch tray options that's very nostalgic of school lunches, but with legit Korean cuisine. I got the beef bulgogi and that did not disappoint. You get soup, rice, noodles, crispy seaweed, and a variety of kimchi, and a potsticker on top. The bulgogi was generous, quality cuts of beef, and oh so flavorful. I also ordered a side of kimchi cucumbers and the Korean fried chicken as an appetizer. The kimchi's are so good, you can tell these are home made

I got the spicy pork + jap chae plate, it was very tasty and authentic! The owner was super sweet and reminded me of home. I will definitely return to try more of their menu

Authentic korean food that tastes like my Mom's cooking! Glad to have found this little gem. Being an American born Korean it is nice to be able to satisfy my Korean food cravings when we visit St. George. The staff were very nice and friendly, I had the spicy pork and it was delicious and the spiciness was just right!

This is our second time visiting Korea picnic so we decided to have a Korean Picnic! Service was very friendly and my family and I felt very welcomed. My family loved being able to draw a picture and pin in up on the wall. Quality of the food was perfect whether it was dine in or take out. Would highly recommend because the quality, service and flavor will be amazing no matter what!

This place is delicious! 10/10 authentic flavors, hidden gem and so happy we found this place. I loved the Kalbi bento box. I loved all the different items you got in there. We also got the bulgogi Kim bap and it was so yummy! My hubby doesn't like sushi but enjoyed the kimbap. So happy we stopped by in time! Highly recommended

Unfortunately, the lamb had an odd taste and after-taste, the other meats tasted freezer burned, and the broth was kinda meh. The only meat we really enjoyed was the pork belly. My wife tried some of the imitation crab and found it too chewy, while I tasted the spicy tuna salad and found that it tasted as bad as it looked. We ordered one side of fried rice, but they gave us two of them. At least, the fried rice was ok, though! We will admit that we both felt a little woozy after eating here. The service was fast and very friendly at Sumo. We did not dine at a busy time, though, so how quickly you get your orders might be different during a high-occupancy time. I would also assume that the quality of food might be better during a busy time, as it may have to be freshly made. The dining room is vast with plenty of seats for patrons, and Sumo is located in a plaza with a big parking lot. The best part of this visit was the fun anime posters on the walls! We cannot recommend Sumo based on our experience this day, especially as people who have extensive experience with shabu shabu and kbbq. This place was not it.

There were 4 people behind the reception table and that's good because there were piles of people inside! We were afraid we won't get a table fast because there were probably 30 people waiting both in and out. The receptionist asked if we're ok with sushi bar. We said yes and we were seated in 3 minutes, way ahead of everybody! There are 2 sections: habachi and sushi. We were of course seated at the sushi area. Our server's name was Star and she was lovely, highly attentive and efficient. We ordered sushi and yakisoba and everything was fresh and tasty! The reason for the one star review is the quality of the food. The food was bland and lacking seasoning except for the soup which tasted like you were putting salt directly on your tongue. We tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but the next morning I woke up with severe food poisoning, and spent the whole day stuck in my hotel room sick. We've called the restaurant, left a voicemail, and wrote in. We have not heard back. While we were initially excited to try this restaurant after driving by it for years, we will not be returning, and won't recommend this venue to anyone. They seem to have more focus on branding and being flashy, rather than proper food handling.

We drove in…read morefrom Vegas that morning for the day and we worked up quite the appetite after 9 miles of hiking. We were looking forward to some yummy hot food. My husband ordered the Chicken Pad Thai and I ordered the Garlic Chicken & broccoli. We shared an order of Rangoons. If I'm being perfectly honest the food was just ok IMO. I purposely ordered my dish with no sauce bc I don't care for my food to be swim in a sodium, sugar & oil mixture masking whatever flavor the protein & veggies present on their own. I actually WANT to taste them. I didn't expect my mind to be blown by my dish for that reason. I knew what I was getting & honestly my food was very good. The chicken breast was good quality, cooked nicely and cut into small bite sized pieces as was the broccoli. Just what I wanted. Now I DID want to splurge a bit which is why we got the fried stuff too. Now for the not so impressive part. The stuff that was supposed to blow my mind bc it was fried, came with sauce and lots of spice just fell flat. The Rangoons had very little flavor. They were even slightly under cooked it seemed. The corners were the only part that were crispy and the part closest to the middle was barely cooked. Not my fav. I like a very crispy rangoon. Maybe that's just my preference. I sampled my husband's pad Thai, also a bust. Hardly an spice or flavor. He ordered a 3 out of 5 and there was hardly any heat. Maybe my Vegas taste buds have been spoiled or maybe this is a different style of the Thai we're not used to. At any rate I'm only giving it 3 out of 5 stars based on the food itself. The restaurant was in an interesting looking built stone building & plaza and the interior was decorated with a pretty traditional Asian-Thai theme. This place was packed on a Sat night too! The locals must love it. There was a line of people waiting to be seated when we arrived. There are no complaints about the service. We called our order in for pick up. The man who took out order was polite and I believe he was the same host who was greeting people at the door. He was very busy but still gave great service with a smile. Again, this review is not a reflection of him. He was great. The food....just wasn't.
