First off the picture doesn't do much justice because I was very hungry and ate before my phone could! First off this place is amazing as it hit the spot on a cool night. The taste and flavor felt so authentic! Recommend this place and also it's very well priced!

    Salad (1/2/26)

Went in for lunch & is was not busy so we got seated quickly. The waiter wasn't friendly & barely checked on us. We felt rushed when given our tab The broth was very flavorful & delicious but The salad they gave us w/ our chicken katsu plate was old.

    Black garlic ramen medium

The black garlic ramen was incredible. I opted out of corn and fish cakes, made it medium and it was amazing. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the bamboo shoots were tender and the egg was a bit runny and delicious, perfection. Highly recommend! I give it a 4.6 overall. If you love ramen you need to try this.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this ramen shop in St George. I got the black garlic ramen and it was a perfect bowl. Super rich and flavorful broth, needs were cooked to perfection, the egg was soft boiled and marinated just right. The chashu was tender but not melty tender, charred nicely and flavored just right. You can choose your level of spice and I chose spicy but it wasn't spicy, I get it, Japanese cuisine isn't spicy, but don't offer the option. I also got the soft shell crab bun and marinated cucumber as apps. The cucumber was mid, the bun was delicious, perfectly fried and flavorful and not overly sauced which is something a lot of restaurants tend to do. They have cool ramen posters throughout the shop and have plastic Sakura as decor

Service was great. They checked in with us frequently and answered all of our questions! I love booths so it was a very comfortable place enjoying a warm soup for the cold weather!

Best local ramen I've had. Flavor was great and good portions for the price. We also had an order of Spicy Wontons that weren't really that spicy but as far as the ramen went I was very satisfied. Service and ambiance were lovely. This will be one of the go to spots because I want to try the rest of the menu.

The refreshing foyer with water all around, light colors and spacious but laughter and chatter in the background. There are two dining options: hibachi and traditional dining. We chose traditional. The reason for the one star review is the quality of the food. The food was bland and lacking seasoning except for the soup which tasted like you were putting salt directly on your tongue. We tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but the next morning I woke up with severe food poisoning, and spent the whole day stuck in my hotel room sick. We've called the restaurant, left a voicemail, and wrote in. We have not heard back. While we were initially excited to try this restaurant after driving by it for years, we will not be returning, and won't recommend this venue to anyone. They seem to have more focus on branding and being flashy, rather than proper food handling.

Unfortunately, the lamb had an odd taste and after-taste, the other meats tasted freezer burned, and the broth was kinda meh. The only meat we really enjoyed was the pork belly. My wife tried some of the imitation crab and found it too chewy, while I tasted the spicy tuna salad and found that it tasted as bad as it looked. We ordered one side of fried rice, but they gave us two of them. At least, the fried rice was ok, though! We will admit that we both felt a little woozy after eating here. The service was fast and very friendly at Sumo. We did not dine at a busy time, though, so how quickly you get your orders might be different during a high-occupancy time. I would also assume that the quality of food might be better during a busy time, as it may have to be freshly made. The dining room is vast with plenty of seats for patrons, and Sumo is located in a plaza with a big parking lot. The best part of this visit was the fun anime posters on the walls! We cannot recommend Sumo based on our experience this day, especially as people who have extensive experience with shabu shabu and kbbq. This place was not it.

We drove in…read morefrom Vegas that morning for the day and we worked up quite the appetite after 9 miles of hiking. We were looking forward to some yummy hot food. My husband ordered the Chicken Pad Thai and I ordered the Garlic Chicken & broccoli. We shared an order of Rangoons. If I'm being perfectly honest the food was just ok IMO. I purposely ordered my dish with no sauce bc I don't care for my food to be swim in a sodium, sugar & oil mixture masking whatever flavor the protein & veggies present on their own. I actually WANT to taste them. I didn't expect my mind to be blown by my dish for that reason. I knew what I was getting & honestly my food was very good. The chicken breast was good quality, cooked nicely and cut into small bite sized pieces as was the broccoli. Just what I wanted. Now I DID want to splurge a bit which is why we got the fried stuff too. Now for the not so impressive part. The stuff that was supposed to blow my mind bc it was fried, came with sauce and lots of spice just fell flat. The Rangoons had very little flavor. They were even slightly under cooked it seemed. The corners were the only part that were crispy and the part closest to the middle was barely cooked. Not my fav. I like a very crispy rangoon. Maybe that's just my preference. I sampled my husband's pad Thai, also a bust. Hardly an spice or flavor. He ordered a 3 out of 5 and there was hardly any heat. Maybe my Vegas taste buds have been spoiled or maybe this is a different style of the Thai we're not used to. At any rate I'm only giving it 3 out of 5 stars based on the food itself. The restaurant was in an interesting looking built stone building & plaza and the interior was decorated with a pretty traditional Asian-Thai theme. This place was packed on a Sat night too! The locals must love it. There was a line of people waiting to be seated when we arrived. There are no complaints about the service. We called our order in for pick up. The man who took out order was polite and I believe he was the same host who was greeting people at the door. He was very busy but still gave great service with a smile. Again, this review is not a reflection of him. He was great. The food....just wasn't.

This is definitely a no-frills, order at the counter and get your own utensils type of place. The food here tastes how I would imagine a Korean auntie would make at home. The dinner boxes are loaded with a little bit of everything, and they are incredibly priced at about $15-$20 depending on the protein for a huge amount of food! I tried the spicy pork bulgogi and the spicy chicken dinner boxes. The spicy pork definitely has a kick if you can't do spice. After the spicy pork bulgogi, the spicy chicken tasted pretty mild if you're looking for something less spicy. I truly enjoyed everything in the dinner box and would definitely get it again. The spicy pork bulgogi kimbap ($10) is also delicious if you're looking for something a little lighter, and the portion will have you pretty stuffed. I got both types of tteokbokki (rice cake) that they have. Both were delicious, but my favorite dish is the creamy tteokbokki. Think Korean carbonara--creamy, chewy, and indulgent. Both are $10 each and you can't go wrong with either one if you're in the mood for tteokbokki. During my last meal here, I told them how much I enjoyed the food and the nice auntie came out to say hello. She was so sweet and even gave me a free ice cream!
