This is the second time that I have tried slows, I am just not a fan. I'm not really sure what the hype is? The only saving grace is our waiter was very nice and very efficient. I had to have slab of ribs they were dry and tough. Mom's green beans were not what I expected. I figured it would be something along the lines of Southern green beans made with bacon and onions instead it was in this very odd mustard vinaigrette. I think if the beans were cooked ? That might have helped them. We were there at 4:00 in the afternoon and like corn bread was dry. The space itself is your generic barbecue, however, there is a very nice bar area, that's it.

Slow's BBQ in Berkley absolutely lived up to the hype. I used to go to Slow's in Detroit all the time before the pandemic, so when I heard they were opening a location here, I was genuinely excited--especially since it's literally on my way home from work. The vibe inside is really cool and laid‑back, making it a perfect spot to meet up with friends. We came in on a Tuesday and decided to mix things up from Taco Tuesday with some serious BBQ. I ordered the Big Three with baked beans and sweet potato mashed potatoes, and everything was outstanding. The brisket was tender and packed with flavor, the pulled pork was just as delicious, and the sides were spot on. Honestly, everything about the meal was great. I even had leftovers--which never happens--and that midnight snack later on sealed the deal. If the food is still amazing hours later, you know it's legit. I can already tell this place is going to be a regular stop for me. Welcome to the neighborhood, Slow's--Berkley is lucky to have you.

Great addition to the Berkley restaurant scene. Got a half rack of BBQ ribs and side of beans and both were very tasty. My friend got a pulled pork sandwich. Wouldn't mind if they expanded their beer selection though.

Came here on a Thursday night at about 6pm. It wasn't really busy, but we still had to wait a little bit. Still, we had no trouble finding parking and were seated in just a couple minutes. Although seated right by the door and hostess stand, we were right under the ceiling vent and were thus reasonably warm. Drinks came out quickly and also the food. I order the same thing at every BBQ place--pulled pork sandwich--and this one was in my top 10. Fantastic sauces for all different flavor profiles and preferences, and the large pickles and coleslaw were not too dry or sour. Great food for a reasonable price.

Big 3 platter: pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket, sweet potato mash, coleslaw, and cornbread.

Started with an appetizer of wings, enjoyable Smokey flavor and good seasoning. Main entree was the big three platter with coleslaw and sweet potato sides (and corn bread). Platter and sides were OK. Great service, drink was never empty and waitress was attentive. Restaurant was clean, and so were the restrooms.

Very small, but very loud. Service good, food only adequate. Doesn't compare very well to the original in Detroit.

Airport atmosphere. Dishes arrived cold. To-go portions are comically small for the price. Expected better from Slow's.

Little difficulty with folks who aren't as tech savvy as there are not servers or menus but if you don't want a typical restaurant experience where you have to wait for everyone to arrive (you know you have those friends that are always late for everything!) to order this is your jam. Food has always been good and their drink selection is as diverse as you're going to find in the craft beer scene today. A hostess who takes your money and gives you a bracelet, automated beer, and you use your phone to order from the kitchen, they text you and you go get your food. I wondered many times how they could serve alcohol and not monitor how much people were drinking? So I asked. The host is in the front said at the end of 32 oz is your bracelet will not work and you need to come up and see me to reset it. I guess that's how they would monitor whether or not someone could get another 32 oz? I'm surprised not more places have copied their business layout. With the new generation, this would be the place to go, you barely have to speak to anyone except for the people you're with.

If it's something big come early cause it definitely gets packed pretty quick. I had the boneless wings with the Korean sauce and it was shockingly good. Boneless wings are a low expectation food for me, so when a sauce or the crisp really comes out excellent, I'm always genuinely surprised. The sauce was really the highlight, cause it balances flavor and heat perfectly, while also having some sweetness without being too sticky. What I really like about this spot is that they have around 110 draft beers on tap so it's really a craft beer lovers paradise. They also have some basic beers for those who don't have the love for crafts along with a full bar and curated cocktail list. So if you like the idea of an elevated sports bar, with solid food choices, and amazing beer list this is the spot for you.

We started off with a drink at the bar before a table opened up. My margarita was perfectly balanced, refreshing and strong. For my entree I had the Whiskey glazed salmon and it was delicious. My only complaint was that the broccoli was slightly undercooked. I love the lively atmosphere at Yard House and it's always a great place to watch a game because of the many tvs. Next time, i'd like to come back during happy hour from 3-6pm to try different appetizers that are priced half off.

I opted for the garlic fries upcharge, bringing my total to $19.00. Somehow I justified it because I like these toppings and these toppings weirdly weren't available on a pizza. Or at least I didn't see it via the phone based ordering system. Yes, that's right, this is all of the future check with wrist bands and pour your own beer situation. Don't look for a paper menu, they ain't here. My sandwich wasn't a grilled cheese. It was basically pesto toast with large sun-dried tomatoes and scraps of mozzarella. Baby spinach was just missing. I did inquire to the host (perchance the only actual employee?) and he did talk to the kitchen and I guess they were out. With that information I turned to my friend Robert and said, "You know why we have servers? So they can let you know they're 86 spinach." I suppose I would have adjusted my order had I known this too. What's nuts is, they have ingredients to make a better grilled cheese. I mean, step one: add cheese. Why not mix the ricotta and pesto together and then add like havarti or something that may actually melt and have flavor. The sun-dried tomatoes should be sliced smaller. The garlic fries were fine, but also could have had more flavor. Robert's and neighboring table's pizza looked fine. Is it better than any other place offering Detroit style pizza? Hard to say. I guess I'm not in a hurry to go back. The kind host did make an adjustment to my bill for lack of spinach--but having a server would have prevented that being necessary.
