The market always hosts fun live music, and more than once I have spotted an inter-generational dance party by the band. Both handicap and stroller accessible, there is surely something for everyone at the Rhinebeck Farmers Market. In terms of parking, I recommend checking if there are open spaces at the lot where the market takes place. People are always coming and going, so you might just get a spot!

Just another example of the fine things one can get themselves into through reading Lydia L's reviews! Because this was a fine market to visit on a fine October day. Although we've consumed lots (LOTS) of wine, we've never tried mead and with Lydia's review to back us up, we tried some and bought some too. (Which would be enjoyed later on in the day with cheese from Dancing Ewe and seckel pears from Migliorelli's, both of the Rhinebeck Market.) Don't pass up the chewy, delightful pretzel rolls! We bought several to give to our friends in NJ and they were a BIG hit. (Seasonal cranberry / apple and also sea salt. Also found at the New Paltz market.) There were fewer farmers at this market on this October Sunday but the produce vendors there had top quality items. And the friendly woman at the info booth at the end of the market was offering samples of home baked apple crisp as well as tastings of local applies. More to love about the Rosendale Market...ample parking. Yahoo! Were we HRV residents it would be a regular stop for us.

We've been getting amazing apples and stone fruit from the Maynard farms at the Williamsburg…read morefarmers market for years. But last fall, we had an experience at the orchard itself that we will never forget. We had the best day walking for hours around the beautiful orchard and picking apples. On the way back to the car with our big bag of fruit we realized that neither of us had the key to the car! It must have dropped at some point in the orchard. We were doomed! There was no way we were going to find a small car key within the fields. We walked around for a while looking and gave up we were about to call for a tow. Then we came upon one of the farmers driving the tractor, and showed him the only picture we had taken that entire day. He looked at it for a few seconds and went off in search of the key. 10 or 15 minutes later, we saw him calling for us in the distance. As we got closer, we saw him laughing and shaking his head - amazingly, he had found the needle in the haystack, and we were saved! That day we also got to meet his daughter and grandson, who were taking a ride on his tractor through the orchard and picking apples of their own. Maynard's apples and stone fruit worlds above any of the others we can find in the area, and we stock up every Saturday. But in addition to the quality of the fruit, the farmers are all so nice and always let you taste what's in season before you purchase. And after this experience, it was clear to us that Maynard farms is truly family and community-oriented organization, and made us even happier to buy our fruit from them every week. We were absolutely thrilled to come upon a farm or orchard that does not function as a money grab…read more Their policy of pick what you pay for is a rarity we see these days, and we find this policy to be the most welcoming and the practice generates the highest likelihood of repeat business. When we arrived, on June 17, 2026, prime season for strawberries and snap peas, we were greated by a friendly young woman named Erin, who operated the admission booth. She provided us with two small containers for the snap peas and two larger for the strawberries and explained that we can pick whatever we want, and only pay for what we harvest. We acquired some beautifully fresh snap peas and freshly sweet strawberries. We visited the store, which offered typical farm store goods. There was nothing overly impressive about the store, but it is worth a look. We loved this place and even though it is more than an hour away, this will be our go to place to pick your own fruits and vegetables. We are looking forward to bluberries season in early July!

Huge place and great to bring the kids…read more We went for strawberry picking for Father's Day. I like that you only pay for what you pick. No entrance fee per person and no parking fee (Unlike many other farms). The downside was that there were not many strawberries. The ones we did pick were already wilting within 24hours. I think we caught the end of picking season. The farm is about 1/4 mile down from the market /cafe/brewery. The market is cute and has a lot of pantry items as well as fresh produce. They also serve lunch (chicken sandwich, etc). I was surprised at how expensive everything was. It was $18 for the chicken sandwich. It was well fried and came with a good portion of salad. However, the chicken itself was very small. It also took 20 min to be served. Another option is the airstream in the back. They were selling hot dogs. They had some local dogs that were pretty tasty. The brewery on premise was great. They had a play area to keep the kids occupied, tables/chairs and the World Cup was on. Can't really get better than that. There is also a goat pen in the back of the market. You can pay for some food and the kids can feed the goats. A lot of places charge you just to see the goats. This place doesn't haggle you like that. Great place. I wish they were closer to the city!

They have live music too. Attracting more vendors, especially with local products like bread, maple syrup, coffee, baked goods, cheeses and goat milk, homemade soap, microgreens as well as several fresh produe vendors - even organic - and someone who sells farm fresh eggs and chicken! Prices are very reasonable as well. This year there are a few food vendors and trucks - jerk chicken and Mole Mole with mexican food - though they are here sometimes and missing other Mondays. There are picnic tables in the market to hang out or eat too. Parking is tight and sparse - the Children's Museum allows free use of their lot, but parking at Waryas Park is also an option if you don't mind a short walk. And the train station is also within walking distance. There is a walkway along the river that connects both Waryas and Upper Landing Park, so it's a great place for a walk or spending time sitting on a bench near the river on a nice day. You can even take the elevator up to the Walkway over the Hudson. Please come here and support your local vendors and farmers!
