I saw another review that stated that Sloopy's had the best burger in Kingsport. I have no other point of reference in Kingsport so I have to agree. Sloopy's makes a very good cheeseburger. They offer two sizes of burger 5oz and 8oz. I went with the smaller burger and enjoyed every bite. They also had crinkle cut french fries, my favorite, and they seasoned them with a delicious seasoning blend. The building is fun and exciting. The colors are bold and the walls are adorned with classic advertising. I will definitely be back. read more

Stopped by for Sloopy burger, tater tots and a Pepsi. Food was great and hot when it came out. It was cooked to order so there was a short await. Staff was pleasant and the prices were not much more the a fast food chain. Soft drinks are unlimited, too. Would recommend eating here often. read more

I visited today and had a half-pound burger with tater tots and it was very good. I had bacon and cheddar cheese on the burger. It was definitely a half-pound burger and cooked just about right and very well seasoned with spices. This is not a fast food place, and they aren't just cooking frozen burgers, they make quality fresh burgers cooked on the grill after you order one. They also have something I did not try, a two pound burger (made of four 8 oz. burger patties) challenge where you get it for free if you eat the quad burger and fries in 9 minutes or less time. Cute little restaurant love the atmosphere most of the staff are awesome except for one he stands at the cash register his name is Alan and we came in there to have lunch my wife and I and he was snarky making rude comments came up to our table while we were trying to eat it started having a conversations with us that we didn't want to hear I only had an hour for lunch I was just trying to spend time with my wife and now I got this guy up here tell me about how he's had cancer and all the moles that he has and what they did very unprofessional if he's there I will not eat there again did not like the guy love the food our waitress was awesome if you want a good experience when you go there make sure that Tammy is your waitress she's a very funny lady but the food is awesome it's just even better when you're not being interrupted while you're trying to eat it! Walked in, and the lady already had cups ready to go for us. Told her this was our first time, and she happily explained the menu and gave recommendations to us. The staff overall was very funny and interactive. Ordered our food, total was $20 for two large burgers, sides of fries and tots, and huge drinks. Every order is cooked to order, but the wait was only around 5 minutes. Food came out hot and perfectly seasoned. After eating, we were surprised that it was only $20 and not more. The staff was exceedingly accommodating and friendly, and I got a coupon for free fries for being a new customer. They really seem to go out of their way to make a good impression. The service and the food were both excellent and I will definitely visit here again. The 1950s/1960s decor is also a nice touch that adds to the overall pleasantry. EVERYTHING on the menu is delicious!! They have a WIDE variety of menu items and it's all made fresh! Not fast food but doesn't take long. The environment is fun and the staff are friendly. There's definitely a reason they have been there for 18 years! LOVE SLOOPYS!! Kids eat free between 2-5 on Saturday and they make all the kids feel so welcomed and special!! Very rude staff! Looked at me like I was stupid. The blonde girl is very rude. Threw my food at me, did not want to help me. I suffer from PTSD and sometimes I may need help with ordering and she kept rushing me to get me out of the way. Very judgmental with my illness. I hate to say that I wont be back. read more
