They served up a fantastic matcha latte, and Liz got a cappuccino. I thought this place was a fine place to eat breakfast, or if we wanted to get a coffee or tea to go. Liz and 'Em had pancakes... although it looked like smaller portions they were filled quickly. I had a morning brekkie with meat, which came with toast, bacon, a small tub of beans, roasted tomato and spinach, and toasted eggs. It was all pretty delicious. The server offered sauces (hot sauce or ketchup). I was pretty content with the food. All types of folks come in and all are treated the same. If you're up around the area - or on the way to the World Museum, stop by.

My friends and I were greeted very warmly as we arrived and got to choose where to sit. Then we ordered at the counter. You can see everything being made there. All items used are local, which I love. There are vegan and vegetarian options as well. Cute little menu with the right amount of stuff on their for breakfast or lunch. They also have cakes! Variety of toasts, bagels, French toast, coffees, teas, other drinks. Everything at great prices! I always leave that place satisfied and with happy tummy!

The Brink is a non-alcoholic establishment this does not stop them from delivering fresh and flavoursome cocktails which I must recommend too all who visit. The wide selection of cakes and sandwiches available made is really enjoyable and never done to the pallet the presentation of all the Platters was superb and seem to follow a set theme the overall experience of the afternoon tea was really enjoy your love and great value for money. This is another superb one, and not simply superb because we haven't much choice. It's superb in its own right. Have I said superb enough now? I'll move on. One of the city centre's best kept secrets, the ambience, the music, the shabby chic and mismatched decor will make you feel like you've been whisked away to some exotic island. And that's supreme value when you're coming in from a rainy or windy Bold Street. It's easily as good as some of the authentic Caribbean restaurants I've sampled down in London, and its tucked away nature makes it all the more special. You wouldn't know it existed from the outside, but wander into the basement and be swept into exotica. Lovely. It's actually rather popular with some of the Everton and Liverpool footballers who've come to play from sunnier climes. And it's a Bring Your Own Booze establishment, where the staff will not only get you glasses for your booze, they'll chill it for you. It's cheap enough to be popular with students but gorgeous enough to be a win with the foodies, so you'll get an eclectic mix of customers in here. There are many traditional dishes on offer, served with yams, plantains, rice, all the authentic usuals. The food is truly excellent and the service is top notch too, speedy with just the right amount of friendliness and smiles all round. Some of the staff look so happy, they even walk around and bop to the music. And pots of tea are only 90p! Brilliant. It opens at 9 in the morning for breakfast and everything's really rather yummilicious. Definitely worth a visit!

One Saturday afternoon me and some friends crawled into the city centre in search of a hangover cure and one of my friends suggested Quynny's Quisine. As I ventured down the steep stairs I wondered where the heck I was being taken and what on earth the breakfast here would be like. We sat down in the colourfully decorated restaurant and shortly afterwards a lovely friendly lady came over, presented us with menus and took our orders for drinks. There were several different breakfasts available, some more Caribbean themed than others, all of which sounded delicious. I chose one and placed my order when the lady came back with our drinks. It is difficult to find words to describe the breakfasts served here, Every item on my plate was prepared expertly and was so delicious I couldn't help but groan with pleasure. The portions are generously huge and the staff are on hand to check everything is OK and get more drinks as required. The atmosphere, food and service at Quynny's Quisine is awesome. This is a definite favourite of mine now and I have been back many times.

Our server was kind of moody and did not engage with us in conversation... I get that people have bad days, but your job is service... you can't not do your job. Second, they cook your food to order, which is a nice concept, but in reality doesn't work because then you have people waiting for over an HOUR for their food. Also, people who arrived after us were served before us... what's with that? Third, after waiting for over an hour (we were starving at this point), we finally get our food and... there's not much. For the price and time waiting for the food, it was extremely disappointing. I definitely was not full after one dish and we ended up going to the grocery store across the street to grab a snack. The service was bad, the food wasn't exceptional in any way - it wasn't filling or tasty, I definitely recommend NOT going here. P.S. I double check that this was the right restaurant by looking across multiple platforms (google, their website, etc.)

There's old record sleeves, photos and soul memorabilia plastered all over the walls and you can expect to hear everyone from Aretha Franklin, Al Green and Bettye LaVette to Dusty Springfield flowing from the stereo. The sweet soul vibes extends to the staff - who couldn't be friendlier and more accommodating if they tried. I knocked a glass of fresh orange juice over on my last visit and they simply laughed, mopped it up and replaced it - for free. To top it off, the food and drink at Soul Cafe is cheap and cheerful and includes everything from great all day breakfasts to burgers, sandwiches, salads and fish and chips. Of course, I'd prefer the menu to include southern fried chicken, collard greens and cornbread - but this is Liverpool not Memphis!
