If you're looking for great wings in San Antonio, Fried Hard is a must try. The wings were…read moreincredibly fresh and fried to perfection. Crispy on the outside while still juicy inside. What really stood out were the flavors. Even the hotter sauces had amazing taste. Too many wing spots seem to think "hot" means sacrificing flavor, but Fried Hard nailed both heat and taste. Our favorite flavors were the Hot Lemon Pepper and Memphis Bold. Both were packed with flavor and easily some of the best wings we've had in a long time. The food was so good that during our 4th of July weekend trip, we ended up coming back two days in a row. That's probably the best compliment I can give. If you're a wing fan, do yourself a favor and check this place out.

The Gucci Buffalo wings were so juicy and packed full of seasoned flavor. The service slow but that's because everything is made to order and it was definitely worth the wait. They played some of my favorite songs over head. Nice to hear hear old Daft Punk. The lighting at nice is pretty cool with all the pink and purple. I'm definitely going to come back. Street parking only though but worth it.

I'm tired of going to places and being disappointed. I'm tired of paying too much for too little food. I may just stay away from joints having "James Beard" or "Michelin Star" anywhere in the bio. I should say, I loved the vibe. Seems mostly al fresco...and this definitely took me back to my Santa Barbara days. Not sure how well it works in the heat of a San Antonio summer, but we had pleasant outdoor weather yesterday. Plus, my friend and I were catching up after some rough months, and chose to sit outside so we could have a somewhat private conversation. Problem: the music was so damn loud we could barely talk. When we asked staff to turn it town, they did, at least for a few. Seems within ten minutes it was back at its previous decibel level. Even on a packed-house day, there's just no reason for it to be that loud. Call me an old man if ya want. Friend and I both had the burger, which was good. Unfortunately it was expensive and small. My friend paid; I felt almost bad. Don't get me wrong; I'm not writing this place off. I aim to go back and try other things on the menu.

When I came up to the place it wasn't a sit down place to eat, but that you have to order which was confusing as there were a lot of other restaurants within the small space. There was a guy there that was picking up wing and he stated that they were the best and big pieces. So he showed me how to order. And I place my order as it was Wednesday dollar day for wings so I order wings. I had the parmesan garlic, lemon pepper. Let me tell you they were so good, the wait was too long but worth the wait. It best to order online then go pick up. The restroom were locked so that is why I gave 4 and we weren't able to speak with no one. If you need any special thing or extras please write it I. The space provided because they don't give you anything but what you order no napkin just nothing else. Enjoy and hope the you didn't forget to order anything special or extra as you won't get it.

A true gem! This is…read moremy fourth time eating here and each time they knock it out of the park! Whenever I'm in San Antonio, I have to eat here. The texture of fish is crunchy on the outside with a flaky, meaty texture on the inside . The wings are fried in a way that's just right. They are crunchy and the sauce adheres so well without making them soggy. The green beans, red beans, and wedges are great options for sides to accompany the fish and wings. It was my first time ordering from a place with this type of setup. It was so cool! I scanned my order on an iPad and open pops a locker door with my food. If you're in the mood for fried fish and wings...this place does not miss.

The owner and his family are amazing people in the community and I've always appreciated the way they run their business. Guess forward and employee focus focused. Highly recommend all of their flavors, especially the garlic Parmesan and funnel cake. Anything hot is always delicious but it's nice to do something different from time to time. Also their wings are significantly larger than most places.

The service was very nice and helpful, the lady who we ordered from even told us the most popular wings as well as her favorites. The wings were cooked perfectly and the flavors were fantastic. The decor on the walls are cool pictures of the owner and also showcased a lot of the awards the place has won. Overall I enjoyed the Wings!

Got the salad and pizza combo but so apparently did everyone else and with one person making the pizzas it was at least 35 minutes until we received ours and a good 20 minutes after we finished our salad - thankfully we had some time to spare! Salad was good - pizza good but for being prepared on the spot was okay - dough was a let down and it does not collapsed with Wild Barely or Pinthouse - good but not great!

The atmosphere is homey. Nothing fancy, but comfortable. Someone had spilled some sugar on the table, and we sat down before they could get someone to clean it up. It was obvious the worker were challenged, as we saw them constantly on the move between cooking, the cashier station and the drive up window. I found the music just a little too loud, but I think I may be fixated on this aspect of dining out. All in all, just what to expect from a small restaurant near a military installation: good food at a decent price without pretensions. Definitely will return.

First off $27.79 for 4 pc tenders and 3 pc seemed a little steep, and they didn't have biscuits. We weren't offered an extra side or discount considering the meal was missing the biscuit. The chicken my husband had was ok , we were expecting a lot more flavor based on the color it came out, but the breast was juicy . My tenders were sad, no real flavor. The batter tasted like flour and that's it. I don't understand if the owners have their flavorful tenders at smoke shack why aren't they to the same standard here . The sauce options are ok , loved the hot honey. The max n cheese reminded us of frozen meal standards. As my husband said "There's good restaurants, there's fast food & then there's Honeys..." We did not expect it to be within the old neighborhood of San Antonio, nor on the corner of a gas station. But as we got out, I started to understand why this place was truly loved. They have discounts for veterans, students, and a couple more groups of people I can't remember off the top of my head. They aim to serve their community within the area, offering multiple specials, and opportunities to make their food affordable. It's cheap, sure, but is it worth the wait? I'd say so. We may not have gotten our food under 30 minutes, but by god was it fresh. The lemonade was sweet and representative of a family reunion cook out. If the quality of what they served wasn't indicative of the amount of people that parked and walked up to order some food, it would be my order of catfish nuggets with their sauce, fries, and their large lemonade. They serve catfish, tilapia, and chicken as you'd expect. You can get poppers (also great) and multiple sides, but I say all of this with praise that with your chicken, your fish - it comes with fries. Best part about waiting was observing the community and watching FIFA. Just be sure you pay attention to the area. Highly recommend, though be decent unless provoked, and watch out for the unsavory types looking at your cars. We had one rando walk out and then walk back to their car after doing so to ours... overall, very interesting, and worth their prices. Staff was friendly, and the food was delicious.
