The manager was friendly and greeted us right as we walked in and we had no wait for ordering. We did a 5x5 with an Oreo shake. This is 5 chicken strips, 5 wings, fries, and we upgraded our soda to a shake. The food came out quickly, and the chicken was good. I ordered the wings garlic Parmesan in a panic and there was straight up cheese on my wings! The strips were unsauced, which was a little weird. The fries were cold and we didn't end up eating them. We were staying in a hotel close by and decided to get some quick food. We are from the Midwest and don't have a slim chicken in our area. Honestly? I'm ok with that. Raising canes, Dave's hot chicken, heck even DQ chicken basket is better than this place. The food here is not bad by any means, but it's not worth the money for the little chicken you get! The sauces were pretty decent and the strawberry cheesecake jar was pretty good. We originally order the banana cream jar but the guy at the front seemed pretty bent on getting us to order the strawberry one, so we did. There is free parking, and the inside was clean. You order your food, sit down and they will bring it to you. I was watching and it seemed like they were forgetting parts of peoples orders quite frequently... we did not have this problem but our baskets did come out and different times, even though we ordered the same thing. Well I brought my two friends into Slim Chickens thinking we would have a great lunch. Boy was I wrong. The staff got myself and my one friends order completely mixed up. I ordered the six piece chicken tenders meal and I asked for it to be extra crispy. What did they give me was chicken nuggets!! I'm like what the heck. Plus they made the same mistake for one of my friends meal. Then the guy apologized and said he will fix it. Wrong he brought us the same chicken tenders meal meal. The employee at the window was friendly & pleasant. She asked us to pull ahead to wait for our food, which arrived promptly. I had the Chicken & Waffles. I was really craving some comfort food, so I was a little disappointed that it missed the mark. This included three chicken tenders, a waffle cut into quarters, served with butter & syrup & it came with a drink too (which I didn't really want). The chicken was quite tasty & juicy. However, I felt that the tenders were a little on the small size. Even tho the waffle was light & fluffy on the inside it was not crispy on the outside. The restaurant was clean and it was nice to see when grub hub or Uber eats drivers pick up the food they verify they work for them and have them sign for the food. I think that's a great touch. Slim Chickens was very good! We went for lunch and the service was quick and easy, the menu is big enough to read, and it's very spacious in there. You can either coat your wings or tenders in sauce or get them on the side. We did both and both ways are delicious. Your meal also comes with fries and a piece of toast so it's all very filling. They also have a dessert in a jar options too that we didn't get but looked delicious. Definitely reminds me of canes but with way more options! We'd for sure eat here again. read more

People with disabilities requiring Service Dogs are told they have to sit in the patio area as quoted by management. Management stated, "I'm pretty sure that's the rules bro." This manager went on and stated that it is a corporate policy. So it appears corporate policy supersedes the American Disability Act of 1990 and is invalid with this business. After being humiliated and embarrassed in front of about 20 people 8 walked out. While standing outside deciding where to eat, this same manager came out and shouted from approximately 80 feet away, "I said you could F-ing eat inside bro!" You can fill in that f word on your own. It's unfortunate that I only had 9 witnesses for the outside interaction but a few people took video of what happened inside. Think I'm the only one, not even close. Other site reviews have nearly identical situations to mine. Was my Service Dog easily identified, yes she was. A Service Dog Vest, Service Dog Collar and on a Service Dog leash. Out of control Service Dog behavior, absolutely not. It shows on the video that she was completing her trained function. Listen, this restaurant has been receiving 1 star reviews since it's opening 3 years ago. Just go to Cane's chicken down the road, you won't be disappointed with them. Here's my experience: I dined in instead of using the drive through; the interior is still sparkling new with appetizing displays and sales strewn all over the front of house. Ordering is easy, the cashier was friendly. The dining room had ample seating with the option of these spacious long booths, or regular chairs/ tables. The food was okay, the Buffalo Mac & Cheese bowl needed more Buffalo sauce (which we requested) and received a free sauce. The strawberry and Oreo milkshake we ordered was to par. To be frank, I wasn't overly impressed with Slim Chickens. The food wasn't appetizing; there wasn't much that really stood out. I didn't finish my Buffalo mac & cheese bowl and opted to take the leftovers home. I walked right up to the register where four people were in my immediate view, with a fifth swinging around from the back of house. It was if everyone intentionally avoided eye contact with me because acknowledging a paying customer is too much of an inconvenience. So instead I just asked if I could have a lid for my order. No response from anyone, so I made my request again. Staff eventually made eye contact and I received a range of terrible customer service. Two people awkwardly smiled, one person asked," Who is she talking to?", the manager stood away from me but asked if I needed something, and the other went back into hiding. She sat there for what seemed like 15 minutes while she chatted with the drive-thru attendant who was glancing at the line quickly forming behind her. And with that, I decided to drive around, park, and go in. That's when it got worse. Huge queue standing in the front of the lobby waiting to either place orders, or pick up orders. Only one lady was working the register, and she was either new, or just having a really really bad day. She couldn't hear half the orders, and couldn't figure out the register the other time. Another register was wide open, and some employee was shouting over it instead of acknowledging the line, or opening the register to take orders. This place was very confusing, very disorganized, and very panick-stricken. In the end, I decided to go to Raising Cane's instead. They had a longer line, but I got my order quickly, and returned home. I might give them a try with delivery, but judging from the recent reviews, I probably won't try them for a while.
