Bonchon is an OK place to have a quick Korean fried chicken lunch or dinner. I thought the pricing was OK. There was nothing too amazing about the sauces on the wings. The spicy sauce wasn't spicy at all to me and the soy garlic was tasty. The coleslaw was mid. I got a side of rice and you can't mess rice in a rice cooker. The restaurant was semi clean. There was a lot of restaurant stuff in the hallway towards the restrooms that had to be dodged. There were a lot of teenagers eating at this location or very young adults no older than 25. My friend and I were the oldest people in there. We are well over 35. My friend likes this restaurant and frequents a lot. I don't see myself going back unless I have absolutely nowhere else to go.

I had the shrimp Lo Mein which was also fantastic. Each and every shrimp was cooked perfectly and it had really great flavor, and the shrimp were not those teeny tiny little shrimps either- they were pretty sizable! My husband had the chicken and broccoli and although he said the dish had great flavor and the vegetables were really good, he didn't care much for the texture of the chicken. Said it was a bit rubbery. We also got an order of crab cheese wontons. The flavor was there, but I was a little disappointed because they were slightly overcooked and dried out. We are East coasters, born & raised, from the PA, MD, NJ, DE areas and we have been searching for really good Chinese takeout since we moved here 10+ years ago. This is probably the closest we have come to finding it. This was overall really good food! We will definitely be trying more items from here again in the near future.

Rating 4.5\5 If…read moreyou've been looking for a spot in the DTC that actually puts some soul into the seasoning, Colorado Creole Cafe is a must-visit. It's rare to find that authentic flavor profile in this area, but they are definitely bringing the heat. The Food Catfish:The seasoning was pretty damn good. It was flavored down to the bone. My only note is that I personally prefer my fish fried "hard." I took it home and gave it a quick minute in the air fryer to get that extra crunch, and then it was perfect. Next time, I'll just ask them to leave it in the grease a little longer! The Fries: These stole the entire show. They are proper hand-cut fries and were cooked to perfection. I've already decided that the Gumbo Fries are my mission for the next visit. Gumbo (Chicken, Sausage, & Shrimp): The roux here is unique, thicker and more textured than a traditional thin base--but the flavor is solid. It's a hearty, filling bowl. Corn & Garlic Bread: I'm honestly not even a corn person, but I polished it off. It was seasoned well, and the garlic bread was the perfect sidekick. The Service (Real Talk) The food is 5-star quality, but the speed of service needs to catch up to the DTC lunch rush. This area is full of people on a 30-to-60-minute clock. I unfortunately saw about six people walk out because the wait was too long. If they can tighten up the ticket times to get people in and out, this place will be unstoppable. The Verdict: The kitchen has the heart and the seasoning down pat. I'm definitely going back--I need those Gumbo Fries in my life! Tip: If you're headed there for a quick lunch, maybe give yourself a little extra time until they find their rhythm. It's worth the wait!

The orange chicken pieces were little too small so it was a lot of crunch not as much meat. The crab Rangoons were a little too cream-cheesy. The eggplant was a little too sweet.
