The chicken was hot, fresh, and flavorful -- clearly made to order and definitely the star of the meal. You could tell it was cooked with care, and it delivered on that Southern-style crunch I was hoping for. Now let's talk sides... the fries were honestly underwhelming. They weren't terrible, just plain and a little soft. I found myself wishing they had gone with crinkle fries or something with an extra crispy coating to better complement that bold chicken flavor. BUT -- the fried okra came through and saved the day! Crispy, well-seasoned, and just the kind of side you want with a chicken meal. The real MVP of this visit? The Garlic Parmesan sauce. OMG. I could literally lather that on everything -- it was that good! It even gave the fries some purpose, turning them into a decent vehicle just to scoop up that sauce. Drinks were your typical soda fountain options -- nothing fancy, but they did the job. Final verdict: I'd come back for the chicken and fried okra without hesitation -- but I'll definitely be subbing out the fries next time. I went through the drive through for lunch on a Friday. I ordered a crispy chicken sandwich meal with the fries. I ordered the sandwich with no pickles. I will say they did good with getting the order correct. My sandwich did indeed not have any pickles. The chicken though was very dry and overcooked. It wasn't burnt or anything but it was extermely dry in the mouth. The fries were not fresh either which from what Ive read in other reviews seems to be an issue at least at this particular Slim's. My tea though was extremely tasty and I would highly recommend the unsweetened tea. Other than that I would say maybe give other menu items a try and maybe they would be better. However, when I ordered from this location, on 11/24/25, I not only received the wrong order with shaken spicy dust, but I obtained the worst stomach bug I have ever had. The only reason I write this review four days later is because that is how long it took me to overcome this stomach virus. I live in Moore and frequent Slim Chicken often, the chicken is good most of the time time but the fries and toast are never fresh, it never fails that after ordering my food I always have to bring it home and reheat 1/2 of my food. Yeah....my mushrooms were soaked in oil along with everything else in my box. It was actually pretty disgustin. Plus they left my ranch in the box to get really hot. Hot ranch isn't a good compliment to chicken wings and tenders. Wife's food was the same. read more

Pulled up for an easy order even a monkey could take it. One item with water. Pulled up to the window, paid for the food and was told to pull up and park for my one item. There was a whole line behind me of cars. About 5 cars and all of those cars got their order and left before I started getting irritated and pull back around to the window. When I pulled up, the little teenager girl diddnt even remember she parked me or my order. Horrible exp! Waited a total of 30 min parked and was so irritated I Didn't even want the cold food anymore. The other girl who was the manager on shift wasn't even able to do the refund without calling her boss, which took another 10 mins. Service was fast and friendly, fried okra was pretty good and I thought the Mac and cheese was good but a bit salty. My husband said the lemon pepper wings were too salty and sour. The garlic toast wasn't good at all. The grilled chicken is awful, salty, texture of those frozen chicken breasts that have too much water injected in them. I will say out the gate, the management here is phenomenal! Lexi and Caleb were only 2 of a house of management that hold this place together. I went on a Saturday night and ordered a wrap and a Mac and cheese bowl where, let's just say... were not up the quality that I assumed kept this place packed every time I drove by. I was stuck in between not returning at all or calling and making the dreaded "complaint." So I did. I was answered by Caleb who told me to return so they can have the opportunity to show me that indeed they are a prime spot for a tasty meal. Went through their drive-through the other day. Had great customer service and received fresh food, but felt like the batter on the chicken was falling off rather easily. It wasn't as crispy as I would have liked, and I wonder if they were in a rush to get chicken out as soon as possible? From the moment I walked in I knew I was going to love it. The chicken tenders are delicious. The coleslaw was perfect. It was not drowned in sauce. The potato salad was in my mind amazing. Their sauces for the chicken tenders are delicious as well. My husband loved the honey mustard sauce. He did say the wings (garlic Sriracha) were just blah. They are not horrible. He said he will stick with the chicken tenders. The raspberry tea was perfect. Not to sweet. The dessert in the jar was amazing! Now I know why they are popular. I placed an order. Twenty minutes after it was supposed to be here, I get a message that says the order is on my porch, since I was standing there, I told them no it was not. No reply. I called the restaurant and was told they use door dash and it was not their responsibility. We eat there often but stopped by today and a real game changer, Zach, waited on us! Outstanding customer service doesn't even, explain what we received! Their food is always great but he actually made us feel welcomed and served us like we were really special! He paid great attention to detail, we always split a meal. Normally they bring the meal to us, then we ask for an extra plate which they go back to get. Not Zach, he showed up with the meal and automatically had in his hand an extra plate for us! He offered to refill our drinks, never happened before, then we were talking and he came by to see if we needed anything else, cleaned up our trash and told us how glad he was we stopped to eat there, on the way out the door he said have a great day and come back soon! We stopped at Exit 116 to get gas and food on our trek to the max line of the August, 2017 solar eclipse. And by "we", I mean our family of 7. It was an efficient and good stop as this is located right across from a Shell. We were greeted when we entered and had an informative, but "no-pressure" conversation about the menu. We opted for their tenders and chicken and waffles. There were many sauces to choose from; it would have been overwhelming to take them all in, but we were told several times to take our time. In fact, they opened up a neighboring register to help the group behind us. (My husband and I really enjoyed the Mango habanero sauce. It was a mild burn, but a nice mix of flavor when eaten with the chicken). My 5 year old thought it was "Super spicy". The food was filling, and well flavored. In particular, the chicken was moist. For the chicken and waffle, the waffle was firm enough to be crunchy; this is good since we are not a fan of soggy waffles. My 10 year old said "the food was amazing." Probably the most pleasant was the fried okra and mushrooms. There were a variety of sides to select from, and they were all yummy. We would highly recommend them. The restaurant was clean, engaging for the kids as they were given coloring to bide the wait time, and they had changing tables in the restrooms. The workers were attentive and came to check in as needed. We were grateful for the extra plates, fork and ranch sauce that they brought. It was a great stop, and one we would do again. read more

Let's get this out of the way first. I'm from out of town. Not too far mind you as Fort Worth is only three hours away. I've had Raising Cane's and Chicken Express among other Fort Worth offerings to compare to. I am not sure what is available in Oklahoma City, so I cannot really compare to that. All I had that morning when I was looking for something new to try was an open mind. With that, Slim Chickens looked like an attractive choice. The building looks clean and very well designed. The menu offerings where simple enough to follow and they had a certain combo recommended although I do not remember the exact name of said combo which is fine since the names are just fun labels to different variations of chicken strips, fries, sauces and a drink. Because I was the first one in the drive through, the speed in which I got my food was fine. Service seemed to be a sore spot for another Yelper. I also didn't really notice anything significant about the portion sizes or price since that was another point brought up. The food though, the most important thing, was mediocre at best. The person that I was with mentioned that the chicken strips were soggy which is a bummer since I immediately opened up the box after I drove off to try some while it was still hot. While I wouldn't describe it as soggy myself, I would say that it wasn't crispy all the way. You know how fried food gets if you seal it up without ventilation? Were there holes for ventilation though? Honestly, I didn't take note and don't remember. But "soggy" chicken can be worked around. Perhaps you can dine in or open up the to go box right away in the drive through before you drive off. Inconvenient, but workable. On the flip side though, the sauces are stuck in their current state. Slim Chickens has a variety of sauces to choose from and none of them stand out. I had high hopes for their special sauce but did not like it. The other flavors are just generic and while interesting for a first time go around, are not repeatable. Fries and drinks are not anything to write home about either. So from an out of towner perspective, I'm glad to try Slim Chickens; however, I wouldn't recommend it to my other friends should they visit Oklahoma City. Well we love slim chickens eat here almost every Sunday after church but we came on a Thursday at 9:30pm with 8 people and we were told that they had done there pre closing cleaning and that we couldn't eat in there lobby the only thing we could Do is order for take out. Came in for the first time to redeem a free meal and the workers were very helpful. Got the slims plate and fries with spicy bbq and ranch sauce. I got it Togo and by the time I got home which was within 10 minutes the chicken wasn't crispy anymore. It'll probably be better if I ate there. It came with Texas toast and it was flat. New location opened May 2016 and has a drive-thru. Ordered the large fried mushrooms and it comes with one free dipping sauce we ordered the cayenne ranch. It was yummy and the mushrooms fresh and tasty. They didn't give me any napkins which was inconvenient. read more

They have amazing chicken here! It's always juicy and delicious. My go to for here is the chicken tenders which might be the best chicken tenders I've had! The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the person that took our order always seems to be in a rush. After every single item I ordered they would say "is that all?" and one time didn't even let me finish my order before totaling it up and telling me to drive up to the window. The drink bar and booths were all filthy and sticky ( looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a while & it wasnt busy when we went in). The taste of the overall food was bad. I would say Mcds chicken nuggets are gourmet compared to the taste and smell of the food last night. The honey mustard looked like it had clumps of mayo in it. My husband and i wanted to give this place a try on Sunday evening (February 12 2017), we got a 10 piece chicken, fried mushrooms, and fried okra with several sauces. At first we thought it was delicious but sometime after midnight my husband had to use the restroom several times yet didn't think anything of it at first since he wasn't vomiting. When i got up the next morning (Monday Febuary 13) i felt deathly ill and it's clear we both got food poisoning. I ate more than my hubby did, he did not eat any of the okra or mushrooms and has not been as ill as i have so i assume everything was contaminated, maybe even the sauces? I am writing this review on Tuesday and I am still suffering from the poisoning which i have to say is the WORST case i have ever had in my life. I am writing this review from inside one of our bathrooms mind you, the "symptoms" wont let me get too far away from a toilet. Ive even had pneumonia yet this ordeal has been far more painful. I'm curious if anyone else will be posting similar experiences to mine or if we were just "lucky" customers. Either way, we will never ever be eating there or at any of their other locations again. The Moore location is brand new and they have already poisoned 2 people so be warned that they are already being unsanitary which is pathetic, management should be ashamed of themselves. GET YOUR SH*T TOGETHER OR YOU WILL KILL PEOPLE! *EDIT* My husband informed me that he actually ordered and was charged for the 20 piece chicken but there was only 10 pieces inside, i guess he forgot to mention it. Ate here in the last week. It is a new location in Moore and they are obviously still trying to work out the kinks with a lot of high school aged kids working there. The girl in the drive through was too concerned about her phone and friends she was working with to pay much attention to the customers. The managers really need to get a handle on that. The food was average and I hope the service improves. The workers need to tell you about the one sauce included and extra sauce charge. I will return to see if it improves. read more
