I'm actually reviewing for my daughter. She took two of her sons at the location on Washington Rd, Augusta. She said the food was ok nothing spectacular but pretty good. What concerned her was that they were given a free brownie and when she got home there was a shard of hard plastic in it. She called the restaurant to just make them aware in the event that there could be more in the brownie mix and was pretty much blown off and told the next time she returns they will give her another brownie! She told them it was not necessary. You would think that it would be concerning that someone could get chocked or worse. The date is June 29. Beware the free brownies! read more

On 19 September 2022 I ordered two 6 piece wing meals for my children at the drive through. I noticed my 7 year old daughters wings were not cooked properly. When I called to talk to someone at the restaurant who claimed to be a manger, she told me they cook the wings for 10 minutes. She also said they don't serve uncooked wings, and that's how their chicken wings look. Excuse me, but I have never seen pink/bloody chicken that is done. I wasn't calling her to get a meal I was calling her to inform her about food safety. If you are eating at this restaurant please be careful. Tried it the day after retuning home from a long trip and did not feel like cooking. Using the drive through, the service was slow. Pros: Chicken tasted marinated and well seasoned, was served hot, the inferno sauce was spicy without being overpowering, and they got my not-sweetened tea right. Cons: fries were cold and under-salted (must have been sitting no fewer than 10 minutes), the "Texas toast" was more like "Texas croutons" read more

Had to try it. New place in town , must be good. Sorry.... First off the name Slim Chicken implies it is healthy, but the only options are deep fried tenders or wings. No grilled chicken. Chicken tenders have no flavor and actually have a hint of fish flavor. Very strange. Fries were fries but under cooked. The toast was the best part of the meal. They were out of milkshakes , and three of the sodas at both inside and drive through. Not my cup of tea, but there were a lot of customers. read more

We had been meaning to stop by but they were always busy.(good sign). There was a sign on the drive thru we couldn't read so we went inside. We order a meal. As we ordered there was an employee eating at the front counter. The chicken fingers were hot but the wings were cold. The sauce was poured over cold wings. The best part was the garlic parmigiana dipping sauce we used for the fries. The wings and the strips were better as left overs than when we got them fresh. read more

You will wait a while to get your food because it is so popular, but it is worth every minute!! The food is delicious! I have always been a sauce lover and this is a great place to try new sauces! My favorites were the cayenne ranch and spicy bbq, but they were all great! The prices are also very reasonable. We will definitely be visiting here every chance we get. read more

First of all, I'd rate Slim Chickens with a 5 star if it wasn't for their completely unacceptable customer service. My husband and I have been twice, the first time I ordered the girl not only repeated my entire order incorrectly, she was laughing with her friends which Is why she never heard my order to begin with. She laughed through my entire order and put me on hold for several minutes. The second time, my husband went. He too had to repeat his order to which they got wrong, again. I enjoyed Slim Chicken. First time there and the staff taking my order was great about telling me about things on the menu. Food was delivered lightning fast. In less than 5 minutes. Wings were good. went through the drive thru waited 5 minutes to be greeted and when i finally was they were rude. i get to the window and the young lady who greeted us at the window looked like she could not be bothered. just read me my total and i paid and got my things. i got two jar desserts and asked for two spoons and the same lady proceeded to roll her eyes and walk away to get them. and the chicken was dreadful. it was not the way it used to be. smh i used to love coming to slims but not anymore. read more

1st of all, the name is awesome! On an extended visit from Brooklyn, NY and visited based off of reccomendations. Doesn't disappoint. Food is on point (had the fried Okra which normally I HATE Okra but it was so good that I ate alll of it) , great menu selection, reasonable prices, professional staff and clean location. My family and I have tried Slim Chickens twice. On both occasions, the chicken was tough, and lacked flavor. The soda was flat as tap water. On both occasions, we attempted to contact the restaurant, at the telephone number listed. Neither time did anyone answer the phone. I completed the survey after our second visit, which was over a month ago. I have yet to receive any response from the management. We will not return. read more

Probably the longest wait for a drive through ever. Close to 45 minutes. I wouldn't have stayed in line but my kids wanted to try it. As far as the food it was good no complaints but nothing special. I've visited their drive-through on two different occasions. The first time there were approximately seven cars in front of me before you order. It took over 30 minutes to move seven cars. Then there were three cars past the ordering station and it took another 10 minutes for a total of 40 minutes in line. Not once did management come out and take orders or try to eliminate frustration. The lady in front of me who waited just as long as I did ordered a strawberry cheesecake dessert. When she got to the front they told her they ran out after she had already placed her order and waited 40 minutes in line. When I got to the front they gave me my food but they forgot straws and sauces. The next time seven days later, I figured they might have figured out how to expedite the drive-through. I was wrong there were five cars in front of me and I waited for 30 minutes to get my food. Once they handed me my food, I realized I forgot my tea so I just stayed at the drive-through window for nearly 2 minutes before they finally open the window to asked me what I needed. I told him they forgot my tea and no apology. The food is very average and the service is the worst. Trust me...I'm not exaggerating. You'll be better off going to Chick-fil-A or Zaxby's where the food is 10 times more flavorful and the service is better. read more

I was looking forward to toward you trying a new offering in the area. I will echo what others have stated. The drive through process was VERY slow. It seems they make an effort to repeat your order multiple times to be sure they get it right which I guess is a good thing. Still it took about 25 minutes to get through around 7:00 pm during a weekday. Chicken, fries and excellent garlic bread were really fresh and hot. Fries and slaw were nothing to write home about but we come for the chicken anyway. Chicken was extremely salty. I asked my wife what she thought before I shared my feelings. One word- salty. Slim sauce had little taste and was just overpowered by the saltiness of the chicken. Still thirsty a couple of hour later! I actually like a little more salt than most but this was just too much. My first attempt the sandwich was cool not hot. The last attempt was chicken and waffle. After placing and paying for it on line. I was sent a message it would be ready at 8:02pm. I arrived at 7:50pm to be told that they were working on it. At 8:10pm I was told that they hadn't started on it. At 8:25pm it was ready only to have a cold waffle and warm chicken, they do give you cold butter which of course cannot melt on a clld waffle. Also if you place an order on line, they place it in a cubby hole for anyone to pick up. The staff tends to spend most of their time in the kitchen wondering what they should be doing with the cooked food. When you arrive you will see the parking lot full... it is not because people are lining up to eat... it is because they are inside waiting on their food. Also they believe in randomness... it does not matter if you were first, it is all random on when and if you get your cold food and if you get the right items. If you have the time, not hunger and want cold food that is not supposed to be cold, this is your place. The staff is friendly but does not have a clue. Good Luck read more
