Loved eating at the restaurant , the bar needs some work. Bartender "Schuyler" needs a attitude adjustment . Reservations can be made up till 8:45 but yet he gets mad when people walk in. The food came quickly, the service staff was lovely, and the restaurant's vibe is excellent. So why the 2-star review? We got the Sliders Burger w/fries ($29) and the "Tableside" Carbonara Signature Experience ($41) The fries came barely room temperature, unsalted, and underdone. The burger unfortunately tasted faintly like fish, as if it was cooked in the same pan or surface as the Baked Haddock on the menu. For this reason, I would avoid eating here if you have an important allergy because cross contamination is likely occurring in this kitchen. Finally the major issue with the meal, the "Tableside" Carbonara Signature Experience that is featured prominently on their website. This is where you are supposed to get the pasta tossed in an aged wheel of Parmigiana Reggiano at the table. We were seated in the loft area, were not informed that the "tableside" experience could not occur up in the loft. When we inquired about how our bill would be adjusted since we didn't get the whole experience, the manager said they would give us $4 off, which is insulting. There should be an automatic discount for getting the carbonara up in the loft. So how was this $37 Carbonara Experience, hold the "Experience"? Let's forget everything else about all the miscommunications, this was dollar-for-dollar the worst carbonara I have ever had. The sauce was almost purely butter (which is never ever used in a carbonara sauce) and had broken, the bucatini was prepared in unsalted water, there were 6 little pea sized pieces of pancetta, and the flavor of parmesan was non-existent to the point that I would have guessed it was a vegan meal. Sliders should be your last resort at the resort. Eat here only if there is no other option, pack a sandwich instead. read more

Ski in, ski out and get a really decent lunch! We shared an order of chicken wings and the burger. Burger was good, fairly standard with fries and a pickle. Wings were very good! A better option then tHe food at the main lodge, not that much more expensive honestly. Can get pretty busy so plan your stop either on the early side of noon or later after the lunch rush! Our server was fantastic and gave us the best experience possible. Drinks and location were great, but the food was really, really bad...like we all got a bit sick from it. Super greasy chicken wings (yes, I know they are deep fried, but these were swimming in grease on the plate). The whipped ricotta was decent. So was the free bread for the table. Everything else was beyond bad. My boyfriend and I shared the pasta with meatballs and a chicken marsala. The pasta on both plates was super overcooked, bland and not even mixed with the sauce. It just sat in a sad uneaten clump. The chicken managed to be both bland and overly salty while also being overcooked. There were also some scary looking vegetables on the plate, but I have no idea what they were. I took one bite and just couldn't do it. The meatballs on my boyfriend's plate were massive but underwhelming, and by the the time I took a bite I felt sick. Not good. Get a better cook! read more

Stopped in for a mountain side beer. Great ski up location, far right of the mountain, as viewed from the trail map. Didn't get food this time but had a nice selection of appetizers, plates, and entrees. We chose from the location beer selection. Meh. It's okay. Very basic, limited menu - but everything was okay. Nice atmosphere- and you can't beat the location. Ski in/out from the most remote region of the biggest ski resort - pretty cool! ...and ski boots are allowed. Very nice view of nothing but mountains, ski slopes and woods. I wouldn't say "it's worth the drive" - but if your skiing there for a week - it's a fun trek over for a lunch at what feels like is in the middle of the wilderness! read more

It tasted like shit, I almost threw up. The Shrimp is disgusting and they ruined the noodles by putting crappy butter and garlic on it. And Jesus Christ this place must have a crush on pickled vegetables because that's all they served with everything. They put disgusting pickled tomatoes on my shrimp scampi, and they served pickled vegetables with everything else we ordered. The shrimp they had was obviously frozen, if that was fresh shrimp then I'm a women because I think I'm going to get tested for food poisoning tomorrow just because of how bad that dish was. Sliders Bar & Grill is the place to go. It seems like there are more skiers there, then on the slopes. And you'll quickly realize why. They serve HUGE sandwiches with lots of French fries. After you have a meal at Sliders, you will be looking to take a nap instead of going skiing. Slider's menu specializes in Pub food, but either adds something to it & super sizes it to give it that "WOW" factor. The Dagwood is the Best Dagwood sandwich that I ever had. It was so stuff was Black Forest ham, turkey, Swiss cheese that I only could eat one half of the Dagwood. My wife could not finish her burger & sweet potato fries. We imbibed on the house Bloody Mary, which was bitey. Loved it. read more

In 3 trips to Sunday River for skiing I've visited Sliders 5 times. It's great...I love it. Good beer. Fast friendly service and pretty cute too :-) They aren't as pricey as other Sunday River (on mountain) places to eat. You can drive directly to it from Sunday River Road (head to "Jordan") or ski over from the Lollapalooza trail. The architecture of the main dinning area is made of huge mountain timbers with a cavernous yet, warm feel. ON the nice days you can eat on the deck outside and enjoy the views of the "Jordan Bowl" & "Oz," ski areas. Burgers are tasty. Soups come out hot and fast. But the stand out surprisingly are their variety of SALADS...yes Salads. read more

The food is overly expensive for the food that's given. We ordered a shrimp scampi and it was watery like soup. My friends brother in the 2nd grade literally asked him whether or not it's RAMEN. The garlic Parmesan wings were overly salty and the sauce was too aggressive with the amounts of cheese and garlic. Their only decent meals were the burger and the steak which were really really... average. We also ordered the brownie Sundae. Went here for dinner and the service was great. They had a girl walking around asking us if everything was satisfying, separate from the waitress who was also extremely accommodating. We were there around 6 and the only ppl in the place, maybe why the service was so great. Bye the time we left it started to fill up pretty quickly i guess we had just came before the dinner rush. I ordered the Lobster BLT and wow was it amazing. Huge succulent chunks of lobster. It blew my expectations out of the water, but then again its main and main is lobster right? I came here the next day while out boarding since it is directly off one of the trails. Came here with a huge group and the staff did a really great job of accommodating us. We were seated in the upstairs loft area and the food was pretty good. Their nachos were absolutely bomb as was their Ratatouille panini. It's located perfectly amidst the hotels. I stayed at the Grand Summit but came here for lunch so I skied my way down after eating. read more

Sliders was terrible!! We waited an hour and twenty minutes for our food. Not sure if the kitchen or the waiter messed up but the table neat to us got their food before we did and we sat down about 1/2 hour before they did....chicken on my salad was definitely a frozen chicken breast that they must have just defrosted and they messed up my daughter's cheeseburger she couldn't even eat it. Friendly staff and a nice place, but the food is weird. When you look at the menu, you are lost. The dishes are incoherent. The wings are of frozen meet. That's not cool. My wife and I ordered beer, and they charged us $12 per beer. Twelve dollars for 1 beer. We couldn't believe it. That's nuts. How does this place have the nerve to charge $12 for a beer? This restaurant is in the Jordan Grand hotel. It does a fantastic job. The food is wonderful - it isnt your typical "pub food". I ate here 3 nights in a row - had different dinners and loved each one. I had pot roast, beef wellington and a filet. (Yeah i am a carnivore). The service was excellent in each case. It is always nice to be able to ski right into a restaurant. We were ready to warm up and grab a drink and a bite to eat and this was perfect. It was a very busy lunch time, but it did not take us long to get seated. The menu was casual dinning with some original choices. I had a braised pork wrap which was very good. Our waitress was very friendly, yet she seemed to have a few more tables than she could handle making service a bit slow. I will definitely go again, but will strategically hit that side of the mountain ab bit later in the day when the restaurant is not as busy so I do not miss any more time than necessary on the slopes! read more

Still sitting here amazed at the poor quality and service. Only 1 of 7 orders prepared properly. 2 had to be returned and re-cooked. Asked for dressing not the side and received salad soaked in dressing. Which salads were served with the entrees not before. Requested bread 4 times! Not one of the 3 burgers was cooked as requested. Why exactly did you ask how we wanted them? To that point, why pretend to listen to our requests for no onion, tomato, etc. Please either not waste our time or learn what rare, medium, week-done is. Hint: Rare is not brown. Only saw the waitress twice...once to take the order, once to drop the poor excuse they call food and once to deliver the check. Awful from end-to-end. UPDATE: after over five minutes the manager finally did show up at our table to hear our issues with the meal. They did the right thing and paid for our meal. Uhhhh, no thank you, I have 3 kids waiting to be fed! Wouldn't have been so bad but I knew they did the same thing to another family when we were first giving our name, they had been waiting an hour!!!! First impressions were good. Nice atmosphere and good menu but the coffee seared top sirloin was overcooked. We did send the steak back and they cooked another but meanwhile my husband was left to watch me eat my meal while waiting 15 mins for his second steak to arrive. The second steak was cooked closer to medium rare, as requested, but tasted like liver. The waitress apologised on behalf of the chef for the steak being over cooked but offered us no compensation. I would have left much more satisfied had she offered us a complemetary drink or dessert. read more

Don't always stop to eat when I ski, but this is the place when I do, especially if you like a good burger. Salads are a good choice as well. Have not had a bad meal here at the Jordan Grand.
