The desserts are the star of the show. The butterscotch crème brûlée has a light flavor with nice caramelization, the banana cobbler is very fresh, and the chocolate cake is very chocolately. They did NOT disappoint!! I am officially hooked! From the moment we walked in, I could see and feel the sheer energy coming from the crowd and the ambiance: it already felt like great food and great people. It was packed to the brim for Wine Wednesday! They had one table available for two! Our server, Sarah, was outstanding!! She was sweeter than pie and extremely attentive! She always made sure we had exactly what we wanted when we wanted it. She advised sharing a bottle of wine since we wanted the same one, and since it was half price most wines. The young manager on duty delivered and uncorked the bottle, and she was just as sweet as Sarah! Her name escapes me, but I will find out the next time I go. The Spanish Tempranillo we tried was divine! It was perfectly balanced without being too dry or too tannic or too sweet. It was so smooth and thoroughly enjoyable to drink! For food, we started with the goat cheese bruschetta. It was perfection - rich in flavor and well balanced in the distribution of each component! From there, we tried the special of Steak Tips Au Pauvre - with a peppercorn wine sauce. We chose brussels sprouts as our side, and it also came with a side salad. We weren't too hungry, so we split it. Sarah even had the kitchen split both the salad and the main dish in half for us! The salad was so fresh (with ripe grape tomatoes!!) and the ranch dressing was classic and delightful. The wine sauce was everything I wanted it to be: rich, complex, thick, and buttery. It reminded me of the beautiful sauces you find on a steak or chicken dish at a sidewalk cafe in Paris. The dessert menu looked amazing, but we didn't have any room left. All I can say is you MUST try this place!!! If you can find Sarah, even better!

As a former Chicagoan, the food is 100% accurate, even down to the radioactive green relish on the…read moredogs...which is great...but the problem here isnt the food, its the portion size. A typical Italian Beef is supposed to be about the size of a brick, about the diameter of your forearm, and weigh more than a pound, fully dunked. What you'll get here, instead, is about the diameter of a can of Red Bull, and weighs about the same as one. Literally the smallest Italian Beef i've ever had in my entire life. It tasted perfect, but it was just..disapponting.. Chalk it up to shrinkflation, but what's served here is frankly tiny compared to what you might enjoy in a typical shop. The Chicago Dog was perfect, but expensive. In most shops the dog comes wrapped with crinkle-cut fries. No luck there, its just the dog. A sandwich and a Chicago dog will set you back about ~$20..and for that price, there's no reason to be skimpy about anything. Buona is sooooooo close to perfect... If they address the shrinkflation problem, they'll be absolute gold.

To give them a fair shake at a comparison to Chicago, I ordered two iconic Chicago staples, an Italian Beef and a Chicago Dog. First the beef, I ordered it with hot giardiniera and dipped. The beef was tender, flavorful and the peppers packed a pleasant heat. The bread was sturdy had a good flavor as well. Considering we are outside of Chicago, I'd go 4.5 stars. The Chicago dog looked and tasted legit complete with the neon green relish. For the dog I'd also go 4.5 stars. Seems like Murfreesboro might be sleeping on this great spot cause I was there at 6:30 on a Sunday evening and it wasn't packed. Highly recommend this spot when you are in the Boro to get your Chicago fix, it deserves our support!

The ambiance…read moreis great but the tables and chairs could use some repair as every table we tried wobbled a lot. I did not take pictures of the inside as it is a very busy weekend here. First complaint is there is no guidance for people who are from out of town on how to order or where to go. I have been watching the out of town parents confused as well trying to figure this place out! The iPads set up to order are not sales leading or helpful. When we picked up our coffees is when we FOUND the full menus to read (AFTER we ordered). Not only did they lose sales but we did not see any meat options to add to our order! The lattes tried were a make your own and are better than Starbucks. I had the regular with sweetener (had to ask for a little more sweetener as you can not choose more than one of the same item) and prefer a light to no foam but it is not an option. The second option was the golden girl with honey and cinnamon. Good but different. The first food was the Susie Basic ($11 +$0.50 for strawberries) the crepe that is too thick for a traditional crepe, did not come filled with the strawberries or anything else it was just folded into quarters and topped with the equivalent of 4/5 whole strawberries and whipped cream on the side. The second food item was the French toasted waffle pancake ($15) this is a great concept but it was under cooked and doughy but more than enough food for a meal. It would have been better with a breakfast meat included! Over all the rating is a 3 because of service, the confusion, and the immediately asking for a tip when you order not knowing you really get no service before or after you get food! Even water is a self serve dispenser! It's a great place, different concept in food service. It wants fast food as far service but set up to be table service. After our food arrived we were directed to the silverware and napkins. No one checks on food quality or needs after you are served your food!

Unfortunately, my most recent visit completely changed my opinion. The service we received was unacceptable. Our server, a white man with numerous tattoos, was rude and disrespectful to everyone at our table throughout the evening. More concerning, I experienced comments and behavior that I perceived as racist and homophobic, and another employee appeared to encourage or support that conduct instead of addressing it. My guests and I felt humiliated and extremely uncomfortable. As someone who has been a loyal customer for a long time and has spent a significant amount of money supporting this business, I was shocked that this was our experience. I invited friends and family expecting a great evening, and instead we left feeling disrespected and unwelcome. If this type of behavior reflects what the restaurant is willing to tolerate, that is deeply disappointing. I hope management takes this complaint seriously, investigates what occurred, and ensures that no customer is made to feel this way in the future. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this establishment, particularly to people who may be concerned about being treated unfairly because of their race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation. I also intend to share my experience on social media so others are aware of what happened during our visit.
