We ate at a 'new' place today and it was amazing. I say 'new' because I didn't know it was there. There was something going on at the railroad depot so we went to check it out. When we were parking I noticed the 'new' place and told hubby we were going to try that place before we left. Am I glad we did. Amazing. When you walk it it's a relaxing atmosphere. It's nice and clean. The BBQ aroma had my tummy growling. Grab a menu and order at register. When that's done you seat yourself and they bring your food to you. But let me back up. I forgot to tell y'all the name. It's BEANE BROTHERS BBQ & CATERING, Texas style. 114 Front Street. I ordered the porker sandwich & cowboy beans. Hubby ordered Brisket Mac Sandwich. My porker sandwich was big. Stacked high with pulled pork & topped with coleslaw. Normally I wouldn't eat with coleslaw on top but today I did and Im glad I did. So much flavor in both the coleslaw and pulled pork. I never finish a sandwich but today I did. Hubby was so proud of me. The beans were also flavorful but if you don't like spicy don't order these. I usually don't eat spicy but these were great. When my hubby's Brisket Mac sandwich arrived it was also piled high with Brisket & Mac & cheese. He didn't want the Mac & cheese on it and ask that they put it on the side. Gets his order and the server noticed where he asked for it on the side. Told my hubby she was going to get them to fix it in the kitchen. He assured her it was ok. He would try it that way. Lo and behold he loved it. He downed that huge sandwich and cowboy beans in record time. Said he could eat more but I told him I was getting cobbler to take home. We just ate some of the peach cobbler and cherry. We added vanilla ice cream and that was also delicious. I can't say one bad thing about the food. So if you want BBQ please try this place. You won't regret it. This was some of the best BBQ I've ever had! I had the Texas Two Step with pulled pork and chicken breast, baked beans, and onion strings. I've never had a chicken breast that was so juicy and flavorful. You could really taste the smoke. Paired with their Beane sauce... it was incredible! The onion strings were perfectly seasoned, crispy, and irresistible. The staff was so sweet and inviting! I couldn't recommend Beane Brothers more! read more

Texas BBQ has come to Smyrna and is located in The Depot District. Rooster and Lori Beane recently opened Beane Brothers Texas Style BBQ & Catering (not their first rodeo in the BBQ world) offering all of the standards and some special items. I met Kailey at the counter who explained the process waited patiently while I tried to make selections. While deciding, I also had the pleasure to meet Rooster and Lori and we started talking about their menu, Texas, and food. I decided on the 3-meat plate selecting ribs, brisket, and the jalapeño cheese sausage with a side of potato salad + Mac & Cheese along with a cold bottle of Lone Star!!! The food here is SOLID TX BBQ...the ribs slid off the bone, and the meat is tender and smoky. Brisket was very moist, nice smoke, with a melt-in-your-mouth fat cap and flavorful dry rub. The sausage isn't made in-house but is good with a nice kick. Impressive sides...loved the potato salad with "secret ingredients" and the Mac & Cheese is delicious. Lori had me try their jalapeño coleslaw...nice kick to a slaw and this would be killer on a pulled pork sandwich! Lori told me about their homemade grande Tamales, so I ordered three brisket ones to go but couldn't help sampling one. The thick corn masa and the tender brisket was incredible, and adding some of the homemade salsas (green and red) puts them over the top! One will be my breakfast tomorrow morning with some eggs! Some of the most friendly and welcoming people work here and it's exactly what Front Street needed. The BBQ is great too. They have a great selection of smoked meats, ranging from chicken, to pulled pork and brisket. I got the trio platter so I could try a few different things and I loved everything I had. The pulled pork was moist and delicious. The ribs pretty much fell off the bone. The brisket was very flavorful, but slightly dry... nothing a little sauce couldn't fix though. We started with an on order of onion straws and smoked wings, both were really tasty. They had great beer selection and prices. I loved the decor inside with the natural wood finishes. read more

We absolutely LOVE this place!! The food is amazing!! Especially their brisket and mac and cheese. The owners happened to be there the day we stopped by and they were so lovely. This is definitely a place we will revisit when we are back in middle Tennessee. read more

First off I wish these folks the best as they were decent but goodnight that brisket may have been boiled before it was "smoked". If you can't do brisket then don't put Texas style on your building. I'm aware everyone has their own taste but zero ring and pulled like a rubber band. The Mac and cheese was noodles is cheese soup if anything, not for me. read more

Had lunch there this weekend. Very good food and very nice people working there. My daughter suggested the place and she was right on the money. I had the Cajun wings and my wife got the Brisket with Mac and Cheese sandwhich. My daughter got her regular the pulled pork. I did take a sample of all the food except the dessert and it was all good. read more

This is a great bbq place in downtown Smyrna. Order at the counter and check out the wall hangings while you wait. Which, won't be long. I had the brisket and beef sausage with spicy cowboy beans and Jalapeño slaw. Great flavor with the sausage and the brisket was tender and juicy with a decent smoke ring. Not only was this the best burger I've had in a year, but as we were leaving the staff ran outside to help us with items we accidentally left behind. Friendly, fast, well priced, and delicious. If you like Texas you'll fit right in with the atmosphere. read more

The brisket is incredibly tough. I was there on opening week and the food was delicious. 6 months later, the quality has gone straight to the crapper. Check out the video, and turn up the volume. Look how tough it is and listen to the sound it makes when trying to pull it apart. read more
