Ok re writing my review I really became to adore this place the manger is so friendly and kind all the young worker work so hard to run this place nice, clean and organized. I love the fact that this place having so many parties and so many kids running around is kept pretty CLEAN and sanitized it is fun for everyone young, parent and grand parents I love it because I get to relax for 2 hours on a busy weekend The food is great the chair massagers are good to relax

Stopped in during spring break. We live about 45 mins away so we left pretty early. Our goal was to beat the rush, but by the time we got there the parking lot was already pretty full. We were there before noon and the snack cafe was out of pretzels, nachos, and funnel cake. I did get 2 icees for roughly $13. Opted for 90 of mins play it was the perfect amount of time. There are 8 slides, 2 basketball courts and 1 dodgeball area. They have a high swing, trapeze swing, and zip line (v popular). They also had a kiddie climbing area. It was $32 with the cost of the socks included. My kiddo had a fun. Was v hot and sweaty, but I was comfortable just hanging out so the temperature is comfortable for standing/walking around but not going hard. They have lockers and small arcade area which we didn't use. My 7 yr olds review- there were more stairs than slides but I would go again.

Came here anticipating it would be busy, it was. Lockers are put in a really poor place with nothing to sit on and change socks. Went to the cafe and hot food was 60min wait. Got the nachos instead, cheese distribution was top tier. Probably won't return.

We arrive and proceed to purchase 4 mini golf, $5 worth batting cage and wanted 5 of us to ride go karts. So good amount of money. As we were saying what we wanted to purchase for the go karts the owner steps in and says oh no your son can't ride. I proceeded to ask why he couldn't because we have been on before as he exceeds the height for the ride. NOWHERE DOES IT SAY YOU HAVE TO BE 3 YEARS OLD AND HIT THE HEIGHT. I proceeded to move on and just golf. As we were finishing our rounds I glance over at the go karts as my son was so upset he wanted to go. I see a father and his son WAY SMALLER AND LOOKED WAY YOUNGER than my kid getting into the go kart. So yes momma is pissed I proceed to walk back to the counter and ask the owner how is that child allowed to ride but mine cannot. He said what child. I then tell him where the child was and he said well I trust my employees. LOAD OF BULLSHIT!!! So if your child is not 3 but hits the height might as well just lie about their age because shit you won't fridge if he's there your child can hit height but still not ride. You sign a waiver saying it's your choice and your responsibility. I agreed to that and was fine my child is in my hands and my responsibility. But nope let someone else make that decision for you. So disappointing and overall disgusting how that other child was let on. I attached proof of my child riding before. Overall, good place for a family but be prepared for rules to change. Great prices hence why we spend 4/7 nights there at the cages. And bring our family here. And the kids working are amazing.

My 8 year old nephew and brother in law smashed their faces at the bottom, both ending up with bloody noses. 2. Due to the curvature of the slide my neck whipped and I heard it crack midway down. I became numb in my face and extremities temporarily but obviously that's scary. I also smashed my face on the bottom. My nose remained leak free. Luckily no paralysis, just extreme connective tissue soreness all over. 3. My partner's son smashed his face at the bottom. You are required to go down on your tummy but I wonder if going on your back would be safer. But I didn't engineer these so it's just a conjecture. I wonder if any engineer designed these but I digress. that's against the rules and I wouldn't test it anyway. In general the place is very unmonitored. Some times you can't see when the person in front of you is off the slide. My partner's son collided with a girl. Maybe we all didn't have good slide technique, but that's pretty unlikely that we all sucked at slides. We followed all the rules. I don't think blood stained shirts and extreme soreness should happen after such an experience. At a water park there is a worker telling when it's safe to go down but nothing like that at this place. In general everyone had fun so I'm not sure how to rate it. I guess be careful lol

We bought two adult day passes, one for me and one for our daughter. At first I thought the cost was too high since it has been at least 20 years since I had been to the park, but after spending the day there - I now think it was worth every penny. The park has been cleaned, new paint, new rides and it was active with visitors which was nice to see. Plus, they have the dry park which is great. They had a very nice patting zoo with all sorts of animals including a parakeet feeding room where you can feed the parakeets as they land on a peanut butter and bird seed feeding stick. They also have a really nice water park that we didn't even get to use since the dry park had so much to do. The food and drunk items were a bit pricey like at all amusement parks, but they do let you bring in two water bottles per person and a snack so that's fair. They also let you get your hand stamped to leave the park and have a lunch at your car from a cooler or you can go to a fast food place if you want to. Parking is free, which is a huge plus. I was also VERY impressed with the friendliness of the staff beginning with the lady who sold us the tickets - very nice and patient. Many of the rides are run by students, but they were all very responsible, friendly and followed through before each ride started to make sure all the riders were secure. The young man at the antique car ride managed the entire ride by himself and still took time to ask everyone in each car "Did you have fun?" at the end of every ride. I was very impressed with his maturity and responsible actions and he looked to be about 18. Overall, we had a great time and although it carried a cost of about $50 per person, it was well worth it and we didn't even get to use the water park. Plus, I kept thinking that we live 15 minutes away so we didn't have to spend much time and gas money driving to a place like Wisconsin Dells for such a nice attraction. I highly recommend visiting even if only once a summer to get some nice picture/video memories.

ONCE UPON A TIME.......IN LOMBARD…read more This beloved indoor entertainment center is still hanging in there after 40+ years. I'll admit, I didn't have "attend a work outing at Enchanted Castle" on my 2025 bingo card, yet here we are. I found myself reminiscing about birthdays from the past, how many tokens I spent here as a preteen, and what on earth I was doing at a kids entertainment center with a group of engineers. As they've been since 1983, Enchanted Castle on Roosevelt Rd in Lombard is a one-stop shop for fun.  They have party rooms, a large arcade with ticket counter and 7-8 different attractions.  It's like a bigger version of Chuck E Cheese with a medieval theme, a Dave & Busters aimed at kiddos. You can pay for things a la carte, or get a $40 "max pack" that gets you a $15 game card and access to any 3 attractions.  Our large group hit up the arcade, mini golf, laser tag, and go karts.  One staffer helped us out during our time here, and kudos to her for being patient when we couldn't make up our minds on what to do next. I'll start with the best: the go karts ($9/pp).  Although the track itself is small and not terribly exciting, these go karts were peppy and handled well.  You get a decent number of laps, too, and it must be popular enough to warrant having its own dedicated entrance off to the right - Castle Karts. Next came laser tag ($9/pp).  The packs seemed heavy, but the guns were very accurate IMO.  It was a 'capture the flag' objective and despite a small arena, there was just enough space to move around.  They also have Route 66 mini bowling ($5/pp), bumper cars ($5/pp), a scaled down 'Scrambler' type ride ($5/pp), and a playground area with slides ($5/kid). The glow in the dark Black Knight's "Adventure" Golf ($7/pp) was the weak link of the bunch.  9 holes of poorly lit, uninspired putt putt with odd scenery choices - they couldn't decide between skeletons or squires - and lazy hole design led to several in our group bailing partway through.  One girl even twisted her ankle walking around an obstacle!  This is an area that could definitely benefit from a facelift or new attraction. Back in the 90's and early 2000's, Enchanted Castle had a 3D motion theater that played several iWerks films like Dino Island, Alpha One Cowboy, and Red Rock Run.  This wild motion simulator was always the highlight of my visit, but I can't find ANY record of it in web archives..... was this a fever dream?? Their arcade has a mix of new and old, lots of ticket redemption games with flashy shoot-em-ups sprinkled in.  They had Beat Saber VR (for a whopping 24 credits) as well as some vintage games like the one where you use an air cannon to shoot out the clown's teeth.  Many years ago, they had a dedicated area for pinball machines....now they have none.  *sigh* I expected very little from the food and was pleasantly surprised.  The italian beef ($12) was pretty good, no complaints about the fries.  The large appetizer platter ($40) had a little bit of everything: 7 mozza stix, 7 wings, 7 tenders, 12 mini tacos, and 8 pretzel sticks with dipping sauces.  They also had beer on tap @ $6.50 per pint, not too bad. * TL;DR * Enchanted Castle is supposed to be for young'ins, but if you have fun here as a grown-up I won't tell anyone. Being in business for 43 years is no small feat, especially when you consider the sweeping effect COVID had on the realm of indoor entertainment.  I'm amazed (and relieved) that Enchanted Castle's drawbridge has stayed open despite so much volatility in the world.  I don't imagine that the handful of folks we saw on a Thursday afternoon is representative of how much foot traffic EC actually gets. Here's to hoping they have many more years ahead of them, making joyful memories for scores of kids in the western Chicago suburbs.  I'd hate to see an indelible part of my childhood be gone for good. "The handsome prince raced his mighty steed around the go kart track, while the beautiful princess enjoyed several games of Skee-Ball.  And they played happily ever after!"

I am having a hard time deciding between 2 and 3 stars on this one…read more We hosted our parent's 50th anniversary celebration here. I have been to a wedding here previously as well. Let's start with the building itself. The center lobby area is nice, and includes a cozy fireplace area, a nice touch. Bathrooms seem fine to me, they were nice, and also clean the night of our event. The entrance outside could be a little nicer. The room was nice. They included table linens and chair covers which was great. The table decor is very basic so we decided to have something nicer done by Bright Designs. On a tight budget she was able to provide small but nice table florals. Food. We know food is so important. Our event included the first hour of butler passed, and I do wish I would have had trays pass by me more often. I only saw a tray two times during the hour. The crab cake isn't something I'd recommend, it sounded good but did taste like a Sam's club frozen crab cake. The rest of the evening there were several stations set, including a meet carving station, sweet table, and another table that had appetizers and a cheese platter. The meat station was nice, that was good. The sweet table looked very nice, although i didn't try much - I have never loved sweet tables with the fancy desserts, I find they are usually much prettier than they are tasty. Cake- meh. I was pretty disappointed in the cake. While it was supposed to be a smooth finish with ribbon they decided to embellish it. Also, we were planning to put some orchids on the cake to dress it up, and they took it upon themselves to decorate our cake themselves with a bunch of leftover flowers we didn't want on there. It looked rather terrible but we couldn't do anything about it - as the frosting was smooshed under the florals...so when we tried to remove them, they made a mark. Also, the flavor was very bland. It wasn't dry which is good, but just tasted like not to much of anything. Bartender was awesome, I wish I remembered her name. She was very friendly and did a great job. Overall, we had a great party. I think my hesitation between 2-3 stars comes from the only so-so food, and the cake issue. At the end of the night we still had a blast, had good music, friends and family and most important, my parents loved it!

Going into the room, there are several "dips" in the floor. There is a small sign indicating as such, but easy to miss. I did see one person actually fall & several trip because of this. The room itself was nice. The bathrooms were not particularly clean. Toilets did not flush well. Men's had only 1 stall. Staff did not empty the garbage cans in the bathrooms, so there were paper towels, etc. all over the floor. Speaking of staff - they barely understood English - except the bartender. She was an exceptionaly nice lady! Food was good & was buffet style - plenty of it! During dinner, the power went out. I would think that a place like this out in the middle of nowhere would be prepared for such things. Thank God it came on after about an hour & the evening went on. Food impressive, but not the facility.
