Came here with a friend on Easter around 2:30PM, completely empty. Sat outside in the patio, food and drink menus were in the holder on the table. Not too many pizzas to choose from (this is usually a good sign, and it's also easier to choose), was surprised to see green chili on pizza (apparently this is normal though). Ordered the supreme and added green chili, extra-large (18"). Food came out pretty quickly, crust was thin and crunchy (until it got a bit colder and was not as crunchy). Pizza had a lot of toppings, it was huge, 8 slices, good flavor. Had parmesan, red pepper flakes, basil, and garlic powder on the table. Tasty! I love this place. I love the salads. I love the hard cider. My kids love the local sodas. And I LOVE their gluten free pizza. LOOOVVEEE! But here's the thing. The waitstaff, while friendly and helpful and just seeming to be quality humans in general, are short handed. There aren't enough of them. They're never standing around- they're WORKING. And I know the restaurant business is tough- hard to know how many staff to keep on any given day because you don't want for them not to be busy. But in general, weekends at the lunch hour is probably a reasonable time to have several on hand. Instead, I'm waiting for a refill while my pizza gets cold, waiting for more pesto ranch because it's part of the reason I go there, waiting for sweeteners, etc. This is consistently their only downfall. I'll still frequent the place, because it's that delicious, but I'm only going to go when I'm feeling extra patient and like eating cool pizza. read more

I ordered an 18" pizza it came in a 18" box but it measured less than 16" and had 2" of crust on either side. So basically I got a 12" pizza for and 18" price. Not to boast but I am from NY and don't have much tolerance for mediocre pizza especially when corners are cut when making it. read more

I would rate them a 3.5. Fast service. Staff was friendly as well. All I ordered was 2 slices. I love the fact that the slices are crispy like that pizza back home in NYC but as most of the reviews have on here. I can agree with everyone when I say that the pizza is dry. Pizza lovers are usually looking for that cheesy greasy slice of pizza. These slices didn't even have a drip of grease. Service was very fast and friendly! Bathroom was clean and it's was toward the end of the day so way to go and appreciated. I got a single slice of the veg. Pesto and added olives. It came quickly and it had great flavor the pesto was good and the added olives were yummy. Only comment would be that the pizza is rather greasy but other then that the crust was good and flavors went well together it is just pesto with onions. Look, I grew up in New Jersey where pizza and Italian food are king. So I was eager and excited to try out "Albuquerque's most authentic New York style pizza." I stopped by Slice Parlor and ordered an 18-inch cheese pizza with half pepperoni. I'm not going to lie... The pizza is pretty tasty and they have most of process and equipment right: home-made and hand-thrown crust, the stacked ovens, the thin crust, etc. But one thing that was not right and will cost them that extra star...when New York style pizza is made right, the pizza is oozing with cheese and dripping with grease. Came on a cold October, Thursday evening; a fair amount of guests[ probably like 20-30 ppl], but only 2 waitresses... I was surprised how good it was here! I had a calzone ( veggie) the crust was flaky not at all heavy or doughy. The rest of the family had pizza and were happy with it too! I came with a friend a few days ago and all of the beer looked tasty so I asked if they had a Beer Flight and they do! You can order four beers on the flight for $7.00 and it was completely worth it. I ordered a Left Hand Milk Stout, Oatmeal Stout, Elephants on Parade, and Santa Fe Nut Brown. My favorite was the Oatmeal Stout. We also ordered some Garlic Cheese Knots but let's face it... we were there for the beer. The Garlic Cheese Knots were yummy scrummy and the atmosphere was chill. Our server was kind and helpful but not overbearing. We decided to make this our new hang out when we get together every so often. There were some kiddos there too which was nice to see because I'll definitely bring my kid to try out their pizza the next time. My suggestion is to go early to get tables if you have a big party. The place was packed on a Saturday evening when I left at 5pm. The parking lot was a bit tricky also so you might want to avoid popular times and go early or late. Cheers! read more

The heights location has staff that seem not to care about greeting you in a timely manor. They always seem to be congregating by the food window just chatting and ignoring bar customers. Since I'd never been before I wasn't familiar with their beer selection. I don't like hoppy and I like something similar to a Scottish Ale. Jewel brought me a taste of the Bosque Scotia and it was perfect! I will definitely be back. I probably won't get their side salad anymore.
