I can't wait to come back to try the Earl grey pancakes and the Brûléed French toast. I hope they also will have pear nectar next time so I could finally get that pear mimosa that I was craving! The Royal York Fairmont Library Bar This place was busy when I got here on a weeknight, but with the location right next to the entertainment district, I can see why. I couldn't even get a seat for the first bit. Standing room only. I got a seat later after a patron left. Friendly bartenders/servers. The lounge is located off to the left when you enter the hotel and is a bit separated/closed off from the rest of the hotel lobby. The hotel and the lounge is certainly grand. It looks like there was a top to bottom reno and gave the overall ambience a nice upscale vibe. I like it. There was the occasional ball cap and hoodie in here, but generally it was a more mature and casual to classy crowd. I'll be back. Likely in 2027. Anecdotally, why are the women always, and I do mean ALWAYS, dressed better than the men in general? I go to a lot of lounges, more than you've been to in two or three years combined total, and this is no exception. Bring some A-game gents!

It's a classic spot where every half hour you'll see people with sparklers, champagne, and the awkward giant neon sign that advertises Lavelle more than anything, going around to satisfy everyone's thirst for social media clout. I forgot my big golf like umbrella on the chairs and upon going back in 3 hours nobody knew where the umbrella is or where to look.
