During the grand opening period, there are free hotdogs and pop/water, catered by Gerard The Hot Dog Man. The hotdog was delicious. All their stores have the same big format, possibly bigger than a large Canadian Tire. There is a big retail store which houses their living room furniture, sleep furniture, and appliances (eg. kitchen), and electronics (eg. exercise machines, massage chairs). They also have furniture that can fit in small apartments/condos. They also have free self-serve hot drinks machine and freshly made popcorn. The popcorn starts 1 hour before the store opening to make the scent of popcorn linger throughout the entire store. There is also a children's playground area to keep them busy while the potential purchases can concentrate on buying (great strategy!). At the other end of the store, there is their outlet store. When discontinuing a product, it goes to this side of the store. All products there are new, but also discounted. The outlet store has a 0% interest 60-month payment plan. The nice thing about this chain is that everyone you deal with is their employee, not any third party, from sales, customer service, to delivery. The sales staff work on commission. You can purchase from any store and have it delivered or picked up from any of their stores. The sales staff are very courteous and pleasant. There store is wheelchair accessible. I went back into the store to test out Plush vs Medium Firm and the Medium Firm was the way to go for My 50 y/o back. I purchased the Harmony Firm with the old mattress as the discount towards the new one. Hence the name of the business. I hope to keep having good Karma with this business because commercial mattress prices are quite horrific but You won't be able to swap those out for a discount either unless you paid the warranty. They had a nice large selection there and I loved some of the beds and instead of having frames they had a really cool thing that you just put your mattress on top of where you don't need a boxspring, and then there's plenty of room to put stuff underneath your bed. I would not mind getting one of those for the future. The prices were very reasonable. The employee, taking care of us, was very nice and willing to explain every little thing, and repeat himself over again, when my mother did not hear him, or could not hear him. Next time I need a mattress I would definitely go here and I would recommend anybody else checking out the store first before going anyplace else.

Meanwhile, this mattress continues to get worse. It simply cannot handle my 122 lb. body weight when in use. The materials instantly compress so much that I experience physical discomfort and soreness (an iPad on a stand next to the bed is now exactly level with my face while I'm lying down). This points to a massive failure in the product's support capacity. I'm forced to sleep on my couch now rather than my bed because of the hip and glute pain I'm experiencing. This company's system for resolving customer complaints is clearly broken if the manager ignores a significant issue a customer is having. I cannot recommend a company that sells low-quality products and provides zero follow-up customer service. I will file a formal complaint with the BBB and the NYS Consumer Protection Agency if I don't get a response soon. *****ORIGINAL REVIEW***** I purchased the Celestial Pegasus Plush Innerspring mattress and thought I'd finally get relief from the hip pain and foot numbness I had from my four year old Saatva latex mattress that I spent a fortune on. That wasn't the case. The Pegasus "Plush" wasn't plush at all and the hip pain and foot numbness continued. I should note the pain and numbness only happen when I'm lying down in bed so this isn't a medical issue. I used their exchange policy after sleeping on that mattress for 30 days and exchanged it for the Simmons Emerald Coast, which I was told was a plush mattress. Now I have a whole new pain - my glute is constantly throbbing from lying on this mattress and now I'm stuck with a very expensive mistake. Never purchase a pillow top from Simmons. They sag very quickly. After doing some Googling, I found out this mattress is best for back sleepers and I can see why. That's the only way to sleep on it without much pain, although I'm a side sleeper and can't get used to sleeping on my back. I told the salesperson that I am a side sleeper so I figured he was pointing me in the right direction for side sleepers. I don't have the money to purchase yet another mattress so I'm forced to live in pain. I never in my life had so many issues with mattresses and I know it's possible to be comfortable because I recently slept in a hotel and at a friend's and had no issues. Prior to purchasing the Saatva and then these two mistakes from City Mattress, I never had issues. Bedtime was a pleasure for me. Now it's torture. Service was just ok. Nothing special, but not bad either. I suggest going elsewhere where there are many more brands to choose from.

It is completely okay and encouraged to lay down on the beds and test them out, even if you go back and forth a bunch of times for comparison. The staff makes you feel like it's important that each customer is happy with their choice - not pushy at all, very friendly and helpful. Although I did not end up purchasing a mattress on this trip, when I am ready to do so, this is where I'm coming back to.

One of the couches in here was oversized and had huge soft fluffy pillows, perfect for relaxing with the family and large dog i.e., Grate Dane or Rottweiler. They were also selling this sweet karaoke kit with built-in turntables which looked pretty cool. The staff were really friendly and we shared some nice conversation while we were there. If we lived in the area we would definitely return to pick out some furniture.
