Slate Restoration is only restoration company I will ever use here in Arizona. The entire staff is fantastic! They were professional from beginning to end of the process. What I felt was one of the most stressful times, due to water damage in my home, Alex (the best water technician) made seem not so bad due to his calmness, professionalism and great communication. I would defiantly recommend his company because of him and use them in the future. read more

I couldn't be happier with Slate Restoration. When my place needed a new shower and plumbing work done Slate had it done quickly. The workmanship was done in a professional manner. The drywall and paint repairs looked great and the shower install was executed perfectly. 5 star company, would give them 6 stars if I could. read more

In May a pipe in our wall burst and created damage. Slate restoration was contacted to repair damage in both my neighbors and my home. I'm writing this review in August and my home is still not done. The damage was isolated to One wall in the bedroom and master bath. Today, I sent four text messages to Slate to state that the conclusion of our work must occur by Friday. The texts have remained unanswered. Job desertion.!!! Paint spatter, plaster texture overspray was on everything, Light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, even on the underside of the countertop. No prepping of space prior to demo or reconstruction. When the air conditioner comes on dust is visible coming from the vents. Switch plates and sockets were covered with plaster. Paint at the top of the wall does not match the repainting because they didn't cover it. I have a new renter coming on Saturday. I am forced to pay someone else to come in and clean up and finish detailing the home. I've taken photos of white can be easily seen by a camera. However, texturing of the repaired wall is poor. Plaster debris was scattered throughout our gravel courtyard. Garage has been left with tile used for repairs out along with some laminate that was used for the cabinetry. Just very sloppy and inconsiderate. Dust is on everything in the house. Do not use this company. Had Slate bothered to return my communication I would have shared all of these details in privacy to them. Since they have chosen not to follow up, I am sharing these issues with you-potential consumers. Beware, research who you choose for your home repairs. This business is not professional. If I could have given them zero stars I would have. Furniture and pictures of all been left in the bedroom with a tarp covering them floor is filthy. I've used many remodelers and have never had anyone walk away and leave such a mess read more

Slate Restoration is hands down the best restoration company in Arizona! I had a water pipe break and they were at my office cleaning the mess and getting fans on the carpet within 20 minutes! The owner and his employees are efficient, honest, and above all care about their customers. That is hard to find in that industry. I would recommend Slate to ANYONE needing restoration services. Thank you Slate for being the best in Arizona! read more

Totally would recommend. Was able to come out same day of the leak. Kept us notified on when they'd be able to come out. Anthony took his time explaining the whole process on how everything works. I had tons of questions and he had all the answers. I appreciate him taking his time with us as first time homeowners not knowing what to expect. He did a great job with excellent customer service. Thank you Anthony!! read more

The company was super helpful in the beginning in getting everything cleaned up from a large shower leak. However when it came time to repair the shower they became completely unresponsive and ghosted us for weeks. We finally had to give up and reach out to another company. I would not recommend this company as they are very unprofessional and non responsive. read more

They were quick and efficient. It's sometimes hard to trust your home to strangers, especially when something is wrong. These guys did a great job and I would use them again if I needed their services. read more

Slate does a professional job and has very fair pricing. They get back to us right away!

Outstanding service! Very punctual, knowledgeable & great people to work with!! Highly recommend their service!

After several weeks and my negative post on Yelp, the owner contacted me, gave me an accurate account of the billing and gave a generous discount for my trouble. This was very much appreciated. I would of rather had professional, caring and timely response to my concerns instead of the a discount for my frustrations. I hope this was a learning experience for the associates who would not help me so no one else has to endure this type of treatment. read more

We were very pleased with our experience with Slate Restoration. We had a leak that caused damage to drywall in our master bedroom. We were not sure if it involved mold or not, but Slate Restoration removed the damaged drywall and insulation and then tapped and secured it to prepare for mold test. A gentleman named Patrick called to set up the appointment and was very respectful as were the two men that actually did this part of the job. Alex and Jorge were very respectful, professional as well as very precise in the way they secured this area. We were very impressed and surprised at how precise they were. We want to thank them again for taking care of this problem in a timely and professional manner. If I could figure out how to post pictures of the project I would. read more

I can't compliment this company enough! They truly are good guys and stand behind their company values, which is rare and hard to find these days. I love supporting local and I'm so glad this is the company I chose for our dishwasher flooding snafu. From the first call the level of care and amazing customer service impressed me. They were quick to respond and had things drying out quickly. They were able to answer all our questions and knowledgeable how to deal with the insurance issues and was even present when the inspector came. Derek was our technician and was extremely professional and has amazing customer service skills -took time to answer any questions, returning calls/emails keeping us in the loop and updated, calling the insurance and fighting for us. Even though things didn't go as we planned with the insurance claim-this company stood up for us and went above and beyond our expectations, they have stepped up to make this experience a positive one and they genuinely care. They have given us several options and working with us! I can't thank you enough. Thank you Derek, Jason and everyone at Slate! read more

The storms in early August made it rain (not in a good way) in my house, thus leading me to Slate Restoration. They were at my door within 90 min from the time I called and shortly thereafter had the interior damage halted & my home on its way back to dry. Many companies can get the job done but the reason I recommend THIS company is their level of service. I had the pleasure of working with Derek Martindale and his crew. It was great to have a friendly contractor that communicated effectively, worked efficiently, and understood my needs as a homeowner. Derek was conscious of my time and budget and knew the ins & outs of working with HOA's and homeowner's insurance. The crew made sure not to leave a mess in their wake. Slate Restoration will be the go-to company for my needs and those of my real estate clients. I highly recommend that they be yours too. read more

After water damage in our home from a toilet tank, our insurance company recommended Slate for a free consultation. At that time I thought damage may be minimal. Justin came out walked through, took measurements, and stated they were very familiar with State Farm and worked with them (this turned out to be true- State Farm is very confident in the expertise and professionalism of this company). It took a few days for our claim and adjuster, but Justin made us feel confident in moving forward with necessary dry- out process and took into account our concerns on holding off in certain areas until we had approval. I left keys with Justin and my house was tended to every day until completion of mitigation. I can't speak highly enough of Justin overseeing the care of our home. At a time when I felt like I had no control over the situation, I didn't need to. I am sad that Justin can't oversee the repairs and see us through to the end. Thank you for taking such good care of us, greatly appreciated. Karin M. read more

I am at a disadvantage when it comes to dealing with repair or service companies - most of the time, I don't know what I need or how much it should cost. When my brand new AC handler leaked and caused water damage for the second time in less than a year I was extremely stressed and frustrated. Previously, Radar Restoration came to repair the damages from the first leak and though they were professional and got the job done, they were not interested in calming me or talking me through what was being done and just came in and ripped out my walls. Slate was a completely different experience. Alex came in, assessed the damages, and gave me a quote with insurance and without and a plan of action for both options. He was quick to do the work and run the numbers, and extremely flexible with my schedule (coming week nights after 6). He broke everything down so I fully understand what was and could happen. After giving me time to think about which route I wanted to go, another tech Octavio came in and removed the walls to assist with the drying and cleaned everything up perfectly. Overall, very pleased with their work, flexibility, and collected personalities that helped me cope under the stress of having this work done. read more
