We tried University Pizza Company for the first time while visiting Riverside for the weekend and overall it was a good find for late night pizza. We ordered a cheese pizza, Pepperoni Lovers pizza, Tikka Masala pizza, and Pesto chicken pizza. My favorite was the pesto chicken pizza. The goat cheese and crunchy bell peppers worked so well together. For me however, the chicken lacked salt. My husband's favorite was the pepperoni lovers. They use the little pepperonis and cook it until just perfectly crispy on the edges, yum! The tikka masala pizza was not our favorite. The sauce was extremely spicy and the pizza was very dry. Overall, good pick for fresh toppings and great tasting pizza! read more

Stopped in to take our UCR student to lunch with our 3 yo granddaughter. The staff were incredibly friendly and the pizza was delicious. Our granddaughter hardly eats anything but she did eat the crust and cheese on my vegan veggie pizza. As far as vegan pizza goes this was probably the best I've had in 10+ years of being vegan. My husband and son shared the Margarita Pizza. Lastly, the bathrooms were spotless and smelled great. We will definitely return!! read more

Got here at 10:45pm today Friday September 29 and there is three employees. Our pizza wasn't worked on until 11:00pm I could see one of the girls working on it and we didn't get it until 11:30. There was only three other customers in the location. Not very busy and on top of that one of the girls was cleaning up and putting the chairs up on the table at 11:25 when the doors state business hours open until 12:00. read more

This review is based solely on their vegan items and of course service. It's a small joint but always clean. I have no complaints about the service. The pizza however is really delicious. I really love the vegan pepperoni and vegan sausage. I didn't really like the vegan soyrizo though. I also tried their vegan knots but wasn't a fan. It would be creat if they can add some vegan wings to their menu and maybe some fries as well. That would definitely put he cherry on top! The price is very reasonable considering vegan ingredients are more expensive. This is my go to spot for vegan pizza. If Iived closer I would be coming here more often. read more

One of my pizzas was missing one of the toppings and my garlic knots had no garlic butter in them. I di have to say, the pizza was really good though. First time here, and have to say it was pretty good. Great topping options and a full vegan menu as well. Only problem was the price ($20- $25 dollars per pizza). We got two build your own pizzas and loaded up on the toppings, unaware they were charging us for each (unlike all other fast pizza places). My first time was here on this past Saturday, my husband brought me for a date night. Walking in, immediately hooked on the decorations of the place. I'm a big horror lover and it's decorated as so. They had Frankenstein, nosferatu, Dracula all playing on tvs. We shared the Freddy's firey pepperoni. 10/10 DELICIOUS. I came again today ( I was dreaming of that pizza since lol ) we got another Freddy's, garlic knots, and wings. The only thing I would suggest with the garlic knots is just a little more sauce because they were a little on the dryer side nevertheless they were still really good. Wings were big and full of meat. Also did the buy 2 beers get the 3rd for 25 cents. We're hooked on the watermelon ipa. Service was great Saturday, even better today. Okay, first time using DoorDash and I chose UPC to do it. First time ordering from UPC too. The DoorDash/Dashpass process with the restaurant was seamless . I allowed notifications so I knew when UPC received my order and when they handed it over to the "Dasher". The order arrived looking and smelling delicious . My order? One large 14 inch with vegan marinara sauce , mixed mozzarella , and thick cut pepperoni .I also ordered a personal 8 inch Thai specialty pizza . This is a lovely pizza place located in riverside which I go to whenever I get the chance. It's open late and I've met a lot of great people here, including the manager who is super friendly. I'll probably come back here on a regular basis in the future as they make good pizza and is up there as one of the better ones. read more

I've been coming here for weeks now. It only took one time to walk in and see that they sold beer and pizza so I definitely wanted to try it out. But then I saw Luis cooking some bacon and he was doing it with such a passion that I was jealous and happy to see him so passionate about food. I started eating and chatting with George about their processes and it turns out, a lot of this stuff is made from scratch! These two gentlemen display an addicting level of synergy that matches the flavor. I am so glad there are food spots with people who care this much about the food they produce and the service they provide. Now I try to make it in to UPC every Wednesday or Thursday. The Chicken Tikka Masala pizza is delicious. The Chicken Pesto with goat cheese and peppers is tantalizing. The Nashville Hot Chicken was fire! I even tried the cauliflower pizza by George's request. I've had hard crazy days where I'm picking up my baby from Lake Elsinore after being in school all day and not wanting to cook for my husband, and UPC has my back. They have reasonable prices and the pizza is perfectly charred out of the oven. Even after long, late nights, they always serve with a smile and offer a treat sometimes- just when you need it. Look, the guy who runs this place clearly loves what he does. He uses quality ingredients and understands how to balance flavors and textures. I don't assume he is vegan, but his vegan pies are very well thought out. Crafting solid vegan pizza is not as easy as it sounds. I want to hire him to landscape by backyard because his creative dedicated can-do attitude is hard to find in this world and my backyard needs help. I will settle for eating his pizza though.
