It seems most people come here for the tacos but they stopped the outdoor grill about 6pm due to the game being on I guess. Cashier/owner was a really nice, cool dude from Berkeley, appreciated his customer service. Inside is a small market/corner store and decent outdoor seating. Honestly wasn't impressed by the food, flavor, or prices, especially after all the hype from the comments, but maybe just maybe I gotta come back to try the tacos specifically

Slappys Chowder House is hittin'. That Surfs Up Burrito with sausage and gravy? Certified breakfast banger. It's hearty, flavorful, and honestly, the perfect way to start your day--like a warm hug wrapped in a tortilla. The battered chicken strips? Moist with that perfect crunch. Not greasy, just golden. And the fries? Man, they're dangerously good. Real talk -- they're my favorite fries outside of McDonald's, and that's a high bar. Now, the chowder bowls go crazy, especially when they flip the inside bread into garlic bread. I'm not a sourdough fan -- never have been -- but even I gotta say, that bread bowl still hit.
