We love Slackwater. It's honestly an entire experience. From the fire pits outside when you t there, to the unique atmosphere and indoor/outdoor feel. We love the appetizers here. I always get Check your Garlic breath. It's an offensively overpowering deliciousness of Gorgonzola and straight roasted garlic on bread. So. Freaking. Good. Their cheese bread with ricotta is Also delicious and I like to look at their specials when we go in as they are always making something new. The pizza. The pizza is also on another level. It's a crusty, sweet, chewy dough that I wish I could replicate. Seriously I don't know what they are doing to make it taste that good but I crave it. It keeps me going back for more. They also have really unique flavors (grape Gorgonzola anyone?) Take your friends. Take your family. Take your coworkers. Take your kids. Take your significant other. I've done it all and the atmosphere is perfect for it. P.S. THANK YOU for using the waitlist feature, it makes life so much easier. read more

Best pizza I've had in Utah (not much competition) and great drinks and service! Very fun environment!

Great food, wonderful service staff. Only downside is getting in for dinner. This happens due to them being such a great restaurant with awesome food and service. read more

It was not stated anywhere that there we had to be there in 10 minutes or we would be taken off the waitlist. The Yelp app told us to be there by 8:22 pm. We got a text telling us our table was ready way earlier than we expected. We were at scheels and still had to check out. We ended up getting there "2 mins late" and the system takes you off after 10 minutes. I was not told any of this beforehand. The hosts were pretty rude about this situation, and didn't seem to care. Our server was amazing though! Butternut squash pizza was the best yet and you can never go wrong with the cheese ricotta bread. read more

There's something about their crust! Its delicious, thin, a little sweet, but compliments all the savory & salty toppings they have to offer. Their Tika Massala is unique, a lil spicy & incredibly addictive. Love their beer selection! They always have the newest releases that aren't available at the liquor store. Their staff is the best! I've never had a server that wasn't on their A game! They are attentive, personable & funny! 100% must go & check this place out. read more

I enjoyed one of the best salads I have ever eaten at lunch yesterday. The service was wonderful and the ambiance is amazing.

Am I in heaven? Thats the question you'll ask after trying their pizza. It was that tasty! I had the Tikka Masala and California Sunrise, both were excellent. Order was takeout, and it was ready pretty quickly. Their pizzas have a lot of flavor - exactly what my Indian taste bugs were craving. Even came with sauce - and not your regular marinara sauce, but custom pizza sauce, different flavor for each pie. I will definitely try some more items from their pizza menu. read more

Great atmosphere and food. Went with a medium sized group at dinner time and the food came out pretty quick.

Food and service was perfect, pizza is next level! Crust and all!! Drinks, 318 beers, check!!! Ambiance was awesome and it's packed so get reservations read more

We love this place every single time!!! Always great food and service! It is always busy because it is just so good - get on the waitlist online and it's perfect! read more

We decided to try the highly recommended pizza here and yes its 5 star worthy. We called in for 3 pizzas and they were brought to our car 20 mins later hot and smelling so good. Each pizza came with a dipping sauce. First the crust is just the right amount of crispy and a really nice taste on it's own. Second the toppings are fresh, distributed well and we loved the sauces. We tried tiki masala which was so unique and fun but our faves were the classic from the earth which came with a thick balsamic dip and arugula and also the gyro pizza with lamb and tzatziki. A fun date night and there's lots to do in the area so we will be back! read more

I could drink their Alfredo sauce! The calzones are immaculate, I have nothing but love for this place!

Food was OUTSTANDING! The manager and waitress were super attentive and kind. Nothing bad to say about this place or the experience!

Excellent food, great atmosphere, and the all-around best place in Ogden to have a good beer, wings, and pizza. Did I mention, the service? They really know how to treat their customers. read more

The food is outstanding and priced incredibly well. Honestly--and I hate to say this in fear of the consequences--the food could be priced double what it is now and still be worth it. The nachos are an excellent appetizer and could easily satisfy 4-6 people. The tikka masala pizza is a heaven-send. Utterly decadent! This one of the coziest places in Utah. Warm lighting and candles at the table! Also the branding is on point. It's a small thing, but the typeface they've chosen for the menu and logo is really quite nice. Our server was prompt and attentive. He was very chill too. read more

Great food, not a quiet place though, so as long as you know that going in, Amazing drink selection. Fantastic fresh pizza

We have needed a place like this for a long time! The old Black Angus (and whatever it was afterward) has found its destiny! PIZZA and BEER awesome location- great design- and of course great food! We have tried the Tikka Masala, Tastes Like Burning Iron Horse and California Sunrise in different visits. Also the hummus dip was really great and I'm not a huge fan of hummus. Our go-to one that we keep getting is the Tikka Masala. Just great flavors and unique! The dough the use is really great- and makes any pizza of your liking tasty! I'd say the pizza sizes are "personal" sizes, but we always share with each other. TONS of beer options- a lot of LOCAL ones too. Who knew Utah had so many local beer options?! Live music, great vibe- THANK YOU Slackwater for coming to Sandy! read more

Food and service is always great. It can get a little loud during busy hours. The patio dining is my favorite. Love to try the new local beers they offer. read more

I have gone to Slackwater different times three times while visiting in SLC. It is a favorite of friends. Each time the food was good, but not anything you would crave or have your mind blown over. Now the service. The hostesses are seriously the worst. They are on their phones, don't acknowledge people coming in the door and don't understand how to manage the open seats. The servers were mediocre. I asked for something four times, yet never received it, yet they came to the table often. All in all, plan on a long visit with okay food. If it were my choice I would not go back. read more

Get the Italian Job and the wings and you will be the happiest person in town! We used the waitlist option here on Yelp and were seated within 5 minutes. The food was delicious and I love the modern twist on pizza. The tikka Masala pizza was yummy but I would have liked it a bit more spicy. Skip the nachos, they can't compare to the wings and hummus. Overall, we were so impressed and will definitely be back. read more

Great location and seating, great selection of beers, especially stouts, and delicious pizza.

I love their Margarita pizza but it needs more fresh mozzarella and basil. Highly recommend it.

Well worth the wait. Cozy and clean. Our pizzas were amazingly delicious. Our waitress was on point and met all of our needs. Looking forward to going back again soon. read more

Every single time I come here I'm in awe of how delicious everything is. I never feel gross or groggy after eating the food here which is also a huge win. read more

Their gluten free pizza is so good!! I have celiac and I haven't had an issue with cross contamination. Always a good vibe at Slackwater.

I have eaten hear about 10 times since they opened. The food is always consistent and the atmosphere is nice for groups. The reason for the four stars and not five is because of the two times my girlfriends and I went this past fall. She is legit celiac disease. And always warns the staff. Both times she ordered the gluten free pizza and both times later that night she was violently sick. We did make them aware the first time it happened. But I'm not sure she called to let them know the second time. We don't know if it was cross contamination, or lack of being careful. I just wanted to give people a heads up to really be careful. Edit: thank you for your reply Joey from Slackwater. Pizza and pasta is her favorite, and in the 10 plus years since being diagnosed with celiac she has been able to enjoy pizza and pasta at pizza joints and Italian restaurants without a problem. I know it's hard to cater to the gluten free and it is such a trend right now. But when someone states they are actual celiac, it's of even upmost importance. If you don't have separate gluten free areas like separate oil to fry in and separate ovens it can be very hard to not cross contaminate. read more

So stingy on the cheese and sauce, I know that cheese is usually the most expensive ingredient on a pizza, but the sauce too?? I'm just sitting here with a dry, flavorless, cracker of a pizza. The gf crust is alright, I've had better and I've had worse, it could be saved by good toppings, but they don't have that here. Also if you ask if they have fresh lemonade, don't believe them if they say yes, they'll give you minute maid. read more

Food is great, probably in the top 2 for pizza in Utah. Been coming here for years and always have a great experience

I'm surprised I haven't reviewed Slackwater yet! This place is AMAZING. It's definitely one of our go-to's for pizza. Whenever we have visitors from out of town, we take them here. The pizza is amazing. They make all the pizzas personal sized but the portion is more than enough. Their stuffed sticks is our fave appetizer. It is definitely on the pricier side but well worth the splurge. Their service is great as well. Even at their busiest times (weekends), the servers are attentive. We've also done pick-up as well. If you go on a weekend, check Yelp for the wait time and put your name on the waitlist. Wait times get crazy here! Up to 1+ hours of waiting. But I guess that just goes to show how awesome the food is. I definitely recommend this place! read more

Slackwater - Tikka masala and buffalo chicken! - Pizza Near Me - Sandy, Utah

I have visited other slackwater locations and was very happy with the service and food, however this particular location was lacking. We were seated quickly which was great, but we did not have a server approach us for 15 minutes and ended up requesting help to get water from a server passing by. After we received out drinks it was another 10 minutes before our server came by for the first time. I generally try to be accommodating and patient, but the restaurant was not overly busy (as evidenced by our quick seating) and all other tables seemed to be receiving quick service. The food was good, though not helped by seeing the health violations yelp lists, but the service was terrible. Won't be returning. read more

I absolutely love going here! The waiters are usually outstanding! The food is always so so good! My husband loves their Iron Horse paired with his Marionberry and I always get the Ogden River Club. We always leave happy and full! read more

The food is amazing here. The crusts are my favorite! The service is perfect. Somehow I find myself craving slack water pizza pretty often!

Love this place ! Best pizza in town ! Nates wings are the best ! Waitresses are always friendly and keeps are glasses full !

Tried for the 1st time today at about 12:30. I didn't have time to dine in, so I did a take out. I asked the hostess (super cute woman wearing way awesome outfit, no cap) for a recommendation. She gave a couple suggestions and was very friendly. I asked for a Italian Job pizza. I didn't realize it would come with a 1/2 jar of banana peppers on it. It quite honestly was a way too much BP's for anyone - but they were easy to shake off. Pizza was good. Thin crust and a hint of sweetness as well. It was crisp but not crunchy and the crust was chewy and not too thick. I'm gonna reserve a few stars because I want to go back and have a couple beers and see how the service is. The atmosphere looked pretty cool and like it would be fun on a Fri-Sat night. To be continued... read more

Food is fantastic consistently. Friendly staff. Loud atmosphere and always packed with customers. Waiting times can be long. Pizza is fantastic! I specifically love "The Hulk Pizza" We eat here at least once a month. Bathrooms are very clean. The fire pits outside create a fun atmosphere.
