I was not offered or recommended a warranty, which was a bad decision on my part. As soon as I drove that lemon Range Rover off the lot is when the nightmare began. Brakes were squeaking at every stop, check engine light came on less than 2 weeks of driving it. A huge hole was in the engine and oil went all over my driveway and the car. It wasn't drivable. On and on the problems, until it finally broke down completely after repeated failed attempts to fix it as this dealership. The dealer told me he had the best mechanic in town. The car was towed to another repair shop and the bad news just got worse. The timing chain broke and when it did, it did a number on the rest of the car. I was told it was going to cost $7k to fix it. The dealer basically told me it wasn't his problem. But the car clearly was not inspected when he took it in because when I researched that issue, it was clear what was going on. Immediately after I bought it, it was right back in his mechanics hands and clearly he didn't look at it or is not experienced. I bought the car at the end of July 2022 and it took over 3 months to get fixed and ended up costing over $8k. The repair shop informed me that my car was not the first car that dealer has brought into them with the same issues. The owner of this business is the most unprofessional person I have ever encountered, was screaming at me on his lot and followed it up by a nasty text message. Stay away from this place!!

As I was driving my 2008 Chevy Silverado into Kayenta, Arizona, I had 3 service lights come on at once, Service 4-wheel drive, Service Traction Control, Service Stabilizer. I called the service department at my local Chevy Dealer, and they advised me not to drive my pickup any farther and have the truck towed for service. I started arranging for towing through AAA, who provided me with exactly 0.0 options. Then I called the closest Chevy dealer's service department, Morehart Murphy Chevrolet in Durango, Colorado, for advice. That's where Keaton came in. He asked if my pickup was "hopping" when I made a sharp turn. I told him it was, just like when it was in 4 wheel drive. (The dashboard control did not indicate that it was in 4 wheel drive.) He checked with a mechanic, came back with the advice to take the Silverado out of 4 wheel drive. The "hopping" stopped. He then advised me that I could continue to drive my pickup home and to my local dealer for service. Thank you, Keaton! Your advice saved me hundreds of dollars and got me home for the weekend. When I arrived in Durango on the way home, I offered Keaton a generous tip which he could not accept, but I'm happy to thank him by writing this review. Customer focus is sadly lacking across many service industries, e.g., AAA. Happily that is not the case from my experience at Morehart Murphy Chevrolet.

On 6/24/22, I had the occasion to trade-in a Nissan on a purchase. I thought everything was fine until I started getting calls from Nissan Acceptance asking for payment on the traded-in vehicle. I told them Durango Nissan owns that vehicle as of 6/24/22. Well, not according to THEIR records. They say I own the vehicle and I'm responsible for the payments. There's no way I can make 2 monthly car payments. I called Durango Nissan and was directed to speak to Warren (Finance). Warren said everything was fine and Nissan Acceptance would be paid soon. When I later call Nissan Acceptance, they've not heard anything from the dealership and I still owe the money. Over the next 2 months, I make 8 visits to Durango Nissan and 18 phone calls to Nissan Acceptance, trying to resolve this issue. On Friday, 9/9/22, Nissan Acceptance gives me an ultimatum. Either they receive the money in 4 days or I'm going to collections. I call Durango Nissan and I'm told if I really want this resolved, I should talk to the owner (at the dealership for the day), so I come in and speak to Chad Morris (owner). He gives me a tongue lashing the likes of which I haven't had in 25 years. He states the issue has been dealt with. No, I cannot have a receipt as no such thing exists. I should just trust him when he says I won't be sent to collections (*really???*). Turns out Warren's log-in was incorrect, so my trade-in was never "grounded." Has EVERY trade-in since 6/24/22 not been "grounded?" How many other people are going to go through this NIGHTMARE due to dealership error?
