Edit: Phil called in response to my review. See the attached invoice. I had already replaced the camshaft position sensor (a ten minute job), which was new. This did not resolve the code, which indicated the connection was intermittent. I had tested the connector with a multimeter, which indicated there was a bad connection at the connector. This was communicated to the service manager when I dropped off the vehicle. The technician stated that there was a broken tab on the camshaft position sensor, and they replaced the brand new part I had just installed. See the attached photo. That the tab could be broken without being filed off is highly suspect. It's a durable part. That the relatively fragile connector was damaged is more credible. In my opinion, as stated to the service manager, it was obviously the part that needed to be replaced. They replaced the connector, which again, I had communicated was the likely issue. They claim to have paid $110 for this part that I can purchase at Napa for $26. So in summary, I paid $685 to have them swap out a $26 connector. I can only conclude they're either dishonest or incompetent. Edit 2: Well Phil, now you're just outright lying. You did not show me the new camshaft position sensor you removed and replaced. Your technician did not perform any diagnostics, and ignored the diagnostic information I provided to you in advance. He just started swapping parts, AND overcharging for the time spent. Even if the sensor needed to be replaced, a $40 part that takes ten minutes to install, to charge me $685 is absurd.

The replacements seem to have moved here to work for the dealership. The laid-back community feeling of the dealership and the desire to be helpful are long gone. Instead it feels chaotic and high-pressure. I had over ten years experience with this dealership and always felt as if I was among friends. Very sad.

This is FAIR WARNING to anyone looking to do business with Stephanie Morris Nissan of Durango…read more I've purchased 3 Nissans from this dealership. On 6/24/22, I had the occasion to trade-in a Nissan on a purchase. I thought everything was fine until I started getting calls from Nissan Acceptance asking for payment on the traded-in vehicle. I told them Durango Nissan owns that vehicle as of 6/24/22. Well, not according to THEIR records. They say I own the vehicle and I'm responsible for the payments. There's no way I can make 2 monthly car payments. I called Durango Nissan and was directed to speak to Warren (Finance). Warren said everything was fine and Nissan Acceptance would be paid soon. When I later call Nissan Acceptance, they've not heard anything from the dealership and I still owe the money. Over the next 2 months, I make 8 visits to Durango Nissan and 18 phone calls to Nissan Acceptance, trying to resolve this issue. On Friday, 9/9/22, Nissan Acceptance gives me an ultimatum. Either they receive the money in 4 days or I'm going to collections. I call Durango Nissan and I'm told if I really want this resolved, I should talk to the owner (at the dealership for the day), so I come in and speak to Chad Morris (owner). He gives me a tongue lashing the likes of which I haven't had in 25 years. He states the issue has been dealt with. No, I cannot have a receipt as no such thing exists. I should just trust him when he says I won't be sent to collections (*really???*). Turns out Warren's log-in was incorrect, so my trade-in was never "grounded." Has EVERY trade-in since 6/24/22 not been "grounded?" How many other people are going to go through this NIGHTMARE due to dealership error? I'm now waiting for Monday, to see if I've been sent to collections. BUYER BEWARE. You want a Nissan? Drive to Farmington. Leah H Nissan owner
