For the past few days I have been battling with some issues with my service and have talked to countless customer service representatives who were clueless. Finally, Joe from NY answered the phone. He was a very pleasant enthusiastic, energetic person. Here assured me that he was going to take care of everything and was passionate about his job. He did not let me down. I felt like I had someone finally on my side. He was more than accommodating he got the channels that I had been missing back, and scheduled an appointment to take care of the rest of my needs tomorrow. Where do you find that these days? I work for a large corporation myself. Finding employees that take pride in what they do is very important. I am very pleased that I met Joe today because I was on my way to cancel my membership and just get DIRECTV like all of my other neighbors. Thank you Joe I will update my post tomorrow but I want to thank Joe

Dear Spectrum Customer Service,…read more I have been a Spectrum customer for many years, using mobile, internet, and now TV service. Unfortunately, I have never experienced so many problems with customer service as I have recently with my TV service. The main issues are: * Lack of transparency and continuity: Each time I call in, there's no proper documentation or review of previous notes. I have to re-explain the entire situation, and nothing is followed through. * Misleading information: I was told by a technician on Sunday that the problem was a node issue. However, since then, no one has reached out, and I've received no updates or confirmation that the problem is being addressed. When I call back, I'm simply told to open another ticket instead of seeing actual progress. * Poor accountability: The service issues remain unresolved, yet Spectrum continues to collect payment without delivering the reliability or integrity expected. This is not how customer service should work. I would strongly caution others to think twice before choosing Spectrum, as customers deserve honesty, consistency, and solutions--not empty promises and repeated runarounds. I expect a clear response on how and when my service issue will be resolved. Sincerely, Blaine Sheckler

I recently moved to a new apartment which already had Spectrum service. I contacted Spectrum on…read moreSunday February 2, 2020 to cancel my existing account since there was no reason to transfer it to my new location. During the conversation, one of your agents informed me that I would continue to be charged through the remaining billing cycle even though my billing cycle had just started three days prior on January 31, 2020. Of course, I was not happy when I was told this and questioned the agent's statement. She told me "that is our policy" as she read from a script, insisting there was no alternative. I suggested a logical solution to the matter and that was to pro-rate the bill, after all, I did use the service for three days. However, she reiterated I would be billed for the entire billing cycle as she read from the same script, word for word. I knew further conversation would fall on deaf ears, so I asked for a supervisor, to which she replied "yes, you may speak to a supervisor but he will tell you the same thing". After 10 minutes on hold, a supervisor named John answered the phone. He had been briefed by the agent as to why I asked to speak with him. To my continued disappointment, he read from the same script as the agent and didn't waver as he read, "that is our policy" again and again as I tried to interject some semblance of rationalism. Needless to say, I was more perturbed at this point and asked to speak to a manager. I was informed the manager was not on duty at the time and that "he will tell you the same thing", but I persisted and the same reply was repeated another three times before I insisted the manager call me back when he/she was on duty. Needless to say, I never received a call from any Spectrum representative. I then sent an email to their Customer Service department only to be told the exact same thing. This is no way to treat your customers. I had been happy with the service and would have eventually gone back to Spectrum, but after this experience, I will be looking elsewhere for service in the future. Ironically, at the end of the call the agent said 'we appreciate your business', and I said, 'No, I don't think you do appreciate my business'! Your unfair policy of not pro-rating your bills is appalling! I've read some of the reviews about Spectrum and there are many others that express the same views on this policy as I do. I could understand if the new policy was meant for new customers, but it was not in effect when I started my service, so I should have been grandfathered in the original TOS, and not to have new changing terms imposed on me in the middle of my service. Is this how your company treats their customers? They are extra friendly when they know you are going to sign up for service, and they are very pleasant when you have to call for technical service, too, so I expected the same customer-first service I was used to when I called to cancel my service, but instead I felt like I no longer mattered now that I would no longer be a customer. I am not asking for anything other than a fair and equitable agreement. I am more than willing to pay for the service I used and will agree to a pro-rated bill.

I have had a not so good experiences at Verizon on tunnel, and I can…read more sympathize with some of the comments... But here's the deal. I decided to go to another Verizon store thinking that I would have better service. What happened at the store on smokey park highway, which is technically not a verizon company, but who would know....the sign outside is the same as all the others. I had my phone stolen, and needed to get a new one. The reps I spoke with at this store, were all wearing suitsl It was a very different feeling from the tunnel road store. I thought this is more professional, and sat with a represenative who I thought was going to do right by me. 'After all, I have been a Verizon customer for years!!!! I was without my phone for three days, because in the jacket of the stolen phone was my drivers license!! You cannot get a new phone without a valid photo id...and my license was all I had. Without going into massive detail, ..let me say that being without a phone for three days in this world, ...makes everyday things that you count on your phone for IMPOSSIBLE So even when the rep gave me the bottom line price to get connected, and I had asked several questions why this couldn't be done etc... I finally accepted what I was told and got my phone. My friend came over the next day, and after recounting the incident to her, she insisted on bringing me back to Verizon to fix what she called total crap, and had helped several others who had been through simiiar situations. That's when I met Marshall Howard at the Verizon on tunnel. Without making this an epic novel, I wanted to write this review to call out Mr. Howard for not only correcting the lies that I was told at the other store, which resulted in a bill 2x's a much as my previous bill, but for his professional assistance and knowledge. He spent a good deal of time with me speaking with customer service to find what way my situation could be resolved with all the paperwork that had been submitted the day before with the "deal" I had been given at the other store. It wasn't a pretty picture, but he came up with several ideas that would alter my bill to get me where it should have been in the first place. Thank you Marshall Howard for caring enough about making things right, and staying with it to see the correction made. Customer service is what it's all about, and you personify the integrity that is lost on so many who sell for a living.

Tried chatting and also got left hanging after "cody" was putting someone else on the chat. Finally, I jumped in the car and went to their office in Johnson City TN. Rang the bell multiple times and no one woujld come to the door so I started knocking loudly. Finally got someones attention and was told a cable was cut in North Carolina. Then got a text at 9:51am stating there was an outage and it should be back up by 9am tomorrow. Then at 2:37pm got another text stating service was back up. It's not. I called tech support and got a guy who knew nothing of the outage. He was in Guatamala and said he had no reports of an outage in my area. So Brightspeed isn't even communicating to the company that does their tech support. I ended up doing a chat with someone who was asking questions that were barely intelligible. Probably form another country. I work from home so for 4 hours this morning I was dead in the water until I was able to get my phone hooked up to my computer as a hotspot. Who's going to compensate me for my lost wages. Probably not Brightspeed. I'll be switching internet providers ASAP. Anyone know a provider that has tech support strictly in the US?
