First they displayed excellent communication letting me know when they expected to pick up my vehicle and were super fast and nice at pick up. During this transaction my drop off person had a family emergency and Ms. Angel showed so much empathy and understanding as to me needing to change the address and she and her husband did so without any rebuttal. Secondly....while me and my family drove 2 separate vehicles from Sacramento to AZ 1 vehicle broke down. I was scared, upset and nervous being on the I-10 literally in the hot burning sun. Long story short I had no one to call so I called Angel with Black Box Trucking and asked if there was anyway possible they could help or offer emergency resources in which she put me in touch with a Towe trick driver (Fernando) who worked out of the city my car was stuck in. During the back and forth conversations with the Towe truck driver, CHP, family members etc. Ms. Angel reached out to me several times to make sure we were ok and genuinely showed she cared and followed up with me continuously until I made it to my destination. You can't PAY or teach this type of Customer Service and I'm so blessed to have had the opportunity to do business with such upstanding folks. I truly don't know what may have happened if Ms. Angel was not there for me and my family on this long 12 hr drive with all the unexpected taking place. They seemed professional, but instead of handling it directly, they passed my job to a second broker without disclosing it up front. That second broker listed my car for $775 on Central Dispatch--apparently too low for the route. No carrier accepted the job, and the company offered no solutions--just an "oh well, the route is dry" message. The whole deal fell apart the day before my scheduled pickup. I had to scramble to make alternate plans at the last minute. The auto transport industry is full of brokers like this who promise a pickup date without securing a driver first, and who rely on desperate customers caving to price hikes or last-minute cancellations. I encourage others to ask these brokers: - Are you the broker posting my job, or will someone else handle it? - Will you guarantee a driver and pickup date, or just list it on Central Dispatch and hope? - Can I see the exact price and listing terms you're using to attract a carrier? I wouldn't trust this company again unless they're willing to be transparent about the full broker chain and offer real confirmation of service, not vague promises.
