He figured out the issue with my POOL! I recently had it remodeled. And Garcia Pools (owner Yoshi) crappy customer SERVICE for an owner of a pool service and at this point dishonest - never replaced my caps in my pool!! By keeping my caps, it guaranteed my pool would not work. Well, come to find out those caps hold pressure in the pool so it works properly. They wanted to charge an additional $600 to fix air leaks in my pool, but in reality, if they had just returned my end caps... The pressure in my pool would have held. David assessed each of my pop-ups. Three needed to be replaced. He was a trouble shooter. So if you have had long time issues with your pool, and specifically if you have a self cleaning pool that you are having a hard time troubleshooting I highly recommend David to come out and look at it. He's a smart guy and honest. He did the hard work to figure out my mystery. I had one pop up that wasn't working at all and so no water flow was going through it. And that's when he realized that I was missing all of my end caps on my pool which regulates my pressure. The same end caps.... YOSHI removed but never replaced. Thanks David. You did an great job. Not only did they not know they already DID send the email, but the email said absolutely nothing about a future repair, or provide an estimate, and only stated what we already knew, which was the heater did not work. After determining quickly how incredibly inept they were, I told them I would be calling someone else. Their response....an immediate bill for a $95 service call that they never quoted or informed me would charged.

They asked me to send a couple of pictures and answer a few questions, then provided quotes for both repair and replacement options. I also did some research on the company and found out they are licensed, bonded, and insured, which gave me peace of mind. Their pricing was also very reasonable compared to other quotes we received. In the end, we decided to replace the pool pump. Chris explained the quote and options, Robyn handled the scheduling and payment process, and Michael came out for the installation. Andres, the owner, came out the day I called and gave a very quick estimate. He didn't measure the pool as everyone else did. This concerned me at first, but on his estimate the internal surface area he listed was almost EXACTLY what I had calculated geometrically. Closer than those who measured the perimeter. Makes sense that he used his judgment rather than a table based on perimeter since pools come in so many varied shapes. Throughout the process, Andres NEVER tried to upsell us on anything. He even seemed to favor the most economical choices. We decided to have the deck done later, no problem. We, coincidentally, went with the same surface as a previous review here--Stonescapes Midnight Blue Mini Pebble. Andres warned that darker surfaces can be more prone to uneven mixing and mottled appearance, but was happy to do it for a small upgrade fee (MUCH smaller than the other companies). In the end, the surface was more even than I could have imagined. Andres said the process would take a week to week and a half. We signed the contract Wednesday night, he started draining the pool Thursday, chipped out the old plaster Saturday, patched the concrete and repaired our steps Sunday, applied the new pebble Tuesday, acid washed and filled it on Wednesday. He always texted or called the day before to say when they would be here working and was right on schedule. I added a close-up comparison photo of the surface template we picked online and our actual surface to show how perfectly it turned out. Ours seems to be missing small green pieces but that may be because we expressed that we really did not want any green tint. I prefer it that way, regardless. The surface is incredibly well smoothed out with NO trowel marks or streaking. I strongly recommend AE and Sons for resurfacing your pool.

The crews were great, the process was much faster than we thought, 11 days total. Now our pool looks like something from a fashion magazine. Being frighten by other stories about contractors, Robert and company put us at ease and were the best!

The owners of Pool Shack Robert (Joe) pressured me to pay in full prior to the completion of my…read more$4,000 plus final bill of additional work contracted. Unfortunately the Pool Shack owner was paid and you are reading the typical Phoenix contractor customer horror story because once my final PayPal payment went through, Pool Shack refused to stand by their work to leave the job site without setting up the new pump functioning or adding chemicals to our freshly filled pool water. Apparently Robert was upset because I didn't sign up for weekly pool service even though my request to try out their service prior to signing a year contract or by my final payment not completed in cash or by check as demanded. The owner claimed PayPal was not an option because they didn't have an account set up and instead insisted that I deliver a check or cash which wasn't possible since I was out of town however when I went to search on PayPal, I found the Pool Shack business account right away so I made my final payment out of trust and I was insured that the job was complete with the pool running with chemicals in full working order which it wasn't. Pool Shack took advantage of my trust for contracting more pool work and since the previous job was completed according to the work contracted, I had a comfort level that in my absence the pool would be in good standing upon my return. Pool shack knew the next weekly pool service wouldn't happen until a week from my payment but since this didn't happen the pool was found in dire straights which was discovered by our pool service with a total of 11 day's since new pool water was filled and after Pool Shack left the equipment powered off without chemicals. Needless to say and shown by my photo algae growth sets in quickly in triple digits with the above circumstances. Since extreme measures with shocking/pumping still didn't turn the situation around in time to prepare the home for vacation rental, we were forced to drain, acid wash and refill all over again. At the time I was too upset to write this honest review to warn other customers and I rely on real people sharing business reviews so I feel that this one is well overdue. Bottom line is that the owners of Pool Shack and their representatives aren't reputable nor do they run their business with integrity. This left me with an unfinished pool repair and much worse than the condition of the pool upon the start/completion of the job. The end result of the algae green pool completely negated the money spent on the freshly acid washed pool + fresh water fill by the men intentionally leaving the pool without a running pool pump or chemicals added upon leaving. I am a reasonable person with over 20 years of working with contractors and I would NOT recommend using Pool Shack for any pool repairs, electrical work or monthly pool service.

Tory, Adam & Bob did the work and they did an amazing job. They were professional, meticulous and the repair went beautifully. They even hosed down my entire patio when they were done and put everything back in it's place! Who does that? The company had recently cleaned my fountain, and shortly afterward one of the light fixtures, which was still working, came loose and popped out. My only request was to have the light secured back into place. After their visit, I came home to find the light fixture had been completely removed. I was told the repair was more extensive than originally expected and that I would receive an estimate for the additional work. When the estimate arrived, I had only one question regarding the cost of the replacement light fixture. My builder, who originally installed the fountain, believed the quoted price for the fixture was significantly higher than expected, so I simply asked for clarification on that one item. I emailed my question but never received a response. The company later stated they had replied to my email; however, I never received that response. Because I had not received a reply, I assumed the work was still scheduled and that my question could be discussed when they arrived. Given our positive working relationship in the past, I also believed we could simply discuss the question at the job site. When no one showed up, I contacted the owner to ask what time they would be arriving. I was then told they were no longer coming because they were waiting for clarification regarding the estimate. I explained that I had never received their email. Rather than acknowledging that there may have been an email communication issue, the conversation quickly became confrontational. When I again asked about the cost of the light fixture, the owner told me I didn't know what I was talking about. He also dismissed my builder's opinion, stating that because my builder "doesn't do this for a living," he didn't know what he was talking about either. The owner then spoke to me in a disrespectful manner and hung up on me twice while I was trying to have a civil conversation. At no point was I rude or argumentative--I was simply asking for clarification about one item on the estimate. This review is not about the repair itself. It is about customer service, communication, and professionalism. Customers should be able to ask reasonable questions about an estimate without being treated with hostility or disrespect. A simple conversation could have resolved the entire situation. I had been a customer before and never experienced anything like this, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, because of the way I was treated, they have lost my business. More than anything, I believe I deserved a sincere apology from the owner for the way I was treated. Instead, my reasonable question was met with confrontation and disrespect. I hope sharing my experience helps other potential customers understand the importance of clear communication, professionalism, and respectful customer service when choosing a company.
