The zipline adventure exceeded my expectations. It included some offloading in the comfort of an air-conditioned vehicle, casual hiking high above Lahaina with amazing views, and our guides Jordan and Manny were full of jokes and knowledge of Hawaiian history. It was so much more than just the ziplining. Don't get me wrong, the ziplining was exciting. We had a great afternoon on the volcano ziplining our way down. I loved it! Marlon was our tour guide and he was amazing, very knowledgeable and informative. We were located in Ka'anapali. The pick up was easy, punctual!!! So be there early ready to go. Jackets are provided as part of the package BUT it's still soooo cold. If I could've pre planned I would've brought extra layers, gloves, beanie or something to cover my poor ears, hand warmers! This was so much fun! And our guides, Alec and Lindy?(Lindsey?) were so funny :) but also very safety-oriented so there was no need for worry. Great experience and I would definitely do it again. I would not recommend booking a tour with this company. While the sunrise itself was beautiful, the experience was marred by the behavior of the tour operator, Marlon. After learning that my wife and I were from Toronto, he made jokes about Canada being the "51st state," (shortly after saying he doesn't talk about politics) which made us feel uncomfortable and alienated, especially since we were on a bus with other people who seemed to share this sentiment. It was really disheartening to feel so unwelcome, especially when we were expecting a peaceful and enjoyable experience. There are other companies offering similar tours, and I would suggest looking elsewhere for a more respectful and inclusive experience. read more

Glenn our tour guide was fun and knew so much ablut conservation efforts in hawaii. For an environmentalist nerd it was fascinating. He was also funny and improvised when we couldn't see the sunrise due to unpredictable weather. Definitely bring very warm gear and gloves that work with touch screens. I had a winter jacket but without gloves i was struggling in the extremely windy and humid and near 10° temp. These guys were great. Zack and Zaiden were fabulous hosts. Very light hearted, and very safety minded. They always had you double clipped in to something and multiple means of keeping you from zipping before the path was clear. The facility also was very eco minded and has a mission of conservation and restoring the land to its natural state, which they shared lots of details on. Used website, GetYourGuide.com to book this Sunrise tour which included pickup/drop off, use of a hooded parka and breakfast at an historic lodge. I did not directly use the Skyline Hawaii website or calling their phone number. However, GetYourGuide had a responsive chat service for customers and also sent me emails to give me specific details 72 hours and up to 24 hours before our tour. Skyline Hawaii sent me confirmation of my order and asked to confirm jacket sizes. Jackets are adult sizes and roomy to fit over layered clothing you may wear for the high altitude cold temps and wind. 24 hours before our tour Skyline sent me an email reminder about pick up time and the driver's name & phone. I was able to use my iPhone's "share location" to follow his vehicle location on the morning of pick up. That took away my anxiety about missing the pickup or to recognize the vehicle on a dark street. Skyline Hawaii communication is clear and timely. We had the expert, experienced, driver/guide, Glenn. It was a fantastic experience. Glenn 's knowledge of Maui and punctual arrival at each point gave us first opportunity at the sunrise viewing point before other tour groups. Wow! read more

"I'm off the deep end, watch as I dive in" Shallow was pretty much our theme song this entire trip. As an adventure junkee & thrill seeker, Zip lining was a little terrifying jumping off a ledge praying the line will hold you. A little history of my experience: I've done the Zoomline in Vegas multiple times, but that was under some liquid encouragement and I was situated Superman position lol. We were informed that we wouldn't have that back piece to support our backs, so it was extremely important that we held on for dear life and didn't lean back. I was afraid I might've dropped my GoPro so I didn't get the shots I had in mind. Each line had an associated bird name too it. Our two tour guides were great. Didn't realize until the 5th line that they were actually brothers! A small mini hike up to the first line. My friend is pregnant and couldn't join the fun, obviously, however, our tour guides accommodated so that she wouldn't be left waiting. After we flew across each line, the tour guide that stayed back with her would walk with her down to the next line and he would be catching us. Basically they took turns walking with her which was sweet! The last line gave me a ton of adrenaline. It was nice having tried out the first 4 lines which ultimately give you the feel and practice for the last line. The company overall has such tremendous values that line up to mines. If I lived on Maui, I would definitely work for this company! They give back to the community, local non-profits and even help eradicate indigenous plant species in order to cultivate native ones. Based on the reviews, we had high expectations - Skyline totally exceeded them! The guides - Jordan and Manny - were so much fun but also had a ton of interesting information. We were a big group of 10 people (ages from 12 to 55) plus 2 other guests. We did the 8 line course. Time flew by and it never felt like we were waiting around. Each line was different from the last and they were all fun with amazing views. Every single person in our group had a great time, which can be hard to do with a large group doing the same activity. Took my 8yo son zip-lining for the first time at Skyline Haleakalā. The guides were very kind and did a great job supporting a young newbie. He was terrified at the start but could not stop bragging about his experience afterward! Would bring him here again.
